Everything here is pricey but convenient. They have a lot to offer in terms of food selection, but I haven’t gotten the chance to try them all. There are seats and a restroom on the second floor. Food itself is mediocre, so its only really good if you want to grab lunch or a quick bite with a friend.

Came here four days this past week to get breakfast for some GF travel companions. Don’t think I spent more than five minutes each time. Very quick service from the grill staff. I did not eat anything, but no complaints from my GF friends. Very reasonably priced too,

Misleading prices, make sure you compare the price of the item with how much they charge

I got the prepared food with zucchini, mushrooms, peas and corn, sweet potato and a little bit of chicken. The whole thing cost me $ 13 which I thought was pretty reasonable for New York Deli. The food was delicious and hot. I noticed that there was an incredible variety of other foods prepared and otherwise, even sushi upstairs. The place seems very clean bright and airy. There were a few tables where you can eat in but seems like most people like myself we’re getting it to go. I wouldn’t say it stood out from the crowd in terms of corner deli’s here in New York but it certainly was appetizing, inexpensive and I would recommend it. The only thing negative I would say is the cashiers we’re incredibly unfriendly which I don’t think is necessary but I guess that’s New York, right?

Come here for breakfast as its right by my work. Food is nice, service fast but prices are terrible! Stopped visiting as they charge u an extra dollar for 1 slice of american cheese on ur breakfast roll. They prob buy a whole pack for that price! I don’t like to be blatantly ripped off to my face like that so I’ll just go to the deli a couple blocks over.

I live and work around the block from Crown deli and I have probably gotten food from here at least 100 times. The cashiers constantly try over charge you and the food quality isn’t that good. Yesterday was my first day back in a while after numerous disappointments. I got the prepared food which charges a $ 8.99 per pound price and was shocked when the cashier told me my order was over a pound. I went back to my house and weighted it with my own food scale and it was well under a pound. Either they rigged the scale or the cashier lied about the weight and charged me more. I was thinking of going back to call them out, but I thought this would be more productive. Do yourselves a favor and go to Green Apple Gourmet Deli on 50th& Broadway

Visit Date: September 21, 2014 Came here with my godmother before we saw Cinderella. They have all sorts of choices, pretty much anything you can think of to eat could be found here. In the center there’s a hot food buffet bar, and a regular salad bar. Surrounding the hot food buffet and salad bar in a perimeter are salads, deli meats, sandwiches, Mexican food and a few other choices. We both ate from the hot food buffet which was a mix from decent to good. The mac n cheese was a little disappointing, the mashed potatoes were great, my godmother loved the fish, I hated the sweet potato, the penne was good, the fries were good too. When we went upstairs to sit in the seating area we were dying because it was so hot. We really wanted to sit inside of some AC too because we were sweating from walking in the city so much. Seemed like a decent deli, not sure I’d jump to eat there again, the buffet was kind of expensive($ 8.99) a pound for food that wasn’t really worth that price.

Came here for a quick break while in the city. Tried their iced coffee, hot food buffet, freshly tossed salad and a panini… yes I was hungry. All in all for a NY deli Smack in the middle of midtown pretty good stuff. They even have a decent variety of wines. Their hot food bar was amazing. Definitely going here again everytime I’m in that area. Also heard some good stuff about their sushi bar upstairs!

GROSSDON’T DOIT. Got a chicken parmigiana panini and it was microwaved to a lukewarm temperature. My friends got a panini(not even warmed up all the way) and a chicken plate(cold chicken and cold gross vegetables).

Clean, delicious food, just the best I’ve had. From vegas and we wanted a new york deli experience and this has to be the best I’ve had. It had a variety of food selection breakfast lunch and even sushi upstairs. I got the Udon soup and it was the best I have had. They had fresh lunch\dinner food in the middle section but there were no prices labeled so maybe be careful with that and the lady behind the cash register wasn’t the most friendly but I got fast service amazing food and the price for my HUGE soup which was like 9 dollars. Will definitely be coming back once I move here for schooling in august.

The cashier tried to overcharge me again. Co-worker also blames this place for food poisoning. All the hot foods at dinner are the leftovers from lunch with added airborne…

Gourmet? No. Deserving of a crown? Absolutely not. I work across the street and have attempted to make Crown Deli happen multiple times. Each time I have received tasteless food at unfair prices with horrible service. It doesn’t get much worse than this, folks. They will charge you whatever they feel without acknowledging the clearly posted prices and then argue with you relentlessly when you attempt to sort things out. And while the $ 10 credit card minimum is easy to meet given their unnecessarily jacked-up prices(albeit very common in the city), it is still extremely annoying and just adds insult to injury. If you’re in the mood for bland udon/ramen, stale bread, mushy sushi, a side of nasty attitude, and not getting what you pay for — look no further than Crown Deli.

Crown Deli is a nicer than average deli for Midtown, with a small steam table, salad bar, sandwich bar, soups, and snack foods. They have a large cold case of drinks. There is also seating upstairs(is that where the sushi is?) but I was rushing back for a meeting and didn’t check it out. The place is clean and well lit, with okay service. I got the turkey, mozz, avocado sandwich, which comes with a small soup and runs you $ 8.17 including tax. Not bad, for a substantial, fresh, midtown lunch. Then I bit into the sandwich, which was barely toasted, and realized how little turkey was actually in the sandwich. While the quality of the bread, cheese, avocado, and lettuce will be enough for me to be okay with the sandwich, I know others would be downright angry at how little meat is in the sandwich. Oh well. The steam table looked better than average, with two whole shanks of roasted pork, red skinned roasted potatos, sliders, fruit, and veggies.

Crown Gourmet Deli… surprisingly one of the few food place that stays open after 5am when around Times Square. Convenient and open after the wee hours after a night out.

They don’t carry many things for a deli. They do have a hot buffet and some sandwiches and salad but barely touched by anyone. There are many choices around the area that I don’t think many people would settle for them. I wanted a cup of noodle and they didn’t even carry that Not much selections at all. I got some mediocre spicy salmon sushi roll but paid restaurant prices 9 dollars. Totally not worth it. And when I wasn’t feeling too well, I wanted a Naked Juice Green Machine to boost my immune system. I brought it to the counter and was charged $ 5.50… I Gasped and they laughed at me. They knew that their prices were expensive and I was too much of a prideful sucker to put the drink back down. so I paid … Oh boy did I pay. A few days later I went into Duane Reade across the street, 2 Naked Juice for 6 Dollars. Whomp Whomp. This is the closest Deli by my work place btw!

I walked into Crown Gourmet Deli because I was cold and needed to warm up. Low and behold, there is not only a deli, but a buffet of stuff… with a little moo goo gai pan next to all you can eat meat loaf. I’m down wit that… but as I walk a little further there is a sign that says, «Sushi bar upstairs.» WTF! I go upstairs and sit down and eat some sushi. It wasn’t bad either. Our waitress was happy, with big smiles, and I’m down wit that too. I’d go again except there are too many other places to try downtown.
