I was planning on living in NY for my entire lease, but had to move to California three months in for work. These guys were great at helping me figure out a solution. They found someone to take over my lease just two days after I broke the news to them about the move. I couldn’t be happier with the situation. I was worried I would be paying rent for both places for a few months, and I can’t really afford that. So this worked perfectly. When I move back to NY, I will definitely try to rent through Emmut again.

I respond to one of there ads for a furnished apartment on Craigslist. I was out of state, so I couldn’t come see the place in person. Tamir sent me some pictures and it looked like a nice deal compared to the others I saw: D I had to book right away, because my job relocated me to New York for a month. I had been there before, but I wasn’t to familiar with the neighborhoods. I would up moving into a building they had on 10th Avenue since it was closest to my office. The apartment itself was great! The area was fun too :) There were so many restaurants around and when it wasn’t freezing cold out, it was fun to walk around the city xD

I’ve been through the ringer with apartment companies in NY. The last place was a disaster and I never got my security deposit back.
These guys seem pretty good though. At least they have an office you can actually go to or call — it was a wild goose chase in my old building.
Another thing that was a disaster in my old building was trying to do laundry. It was the first thing on my «required list» when I was looking for a new place. I hated spending half of my day off going dragging a huge bag of laundry around the city. Now I can just toss it in the elevator and the laundry is right downstairs.
The building I am in looks pretty new. There is also a roof deck. I haven’t really used it yet though. I’m at 64610th Ave. I think they have similar buildings in the area as well.

I was uncertain about the Mulberry location, but we ended up loving it. My friend and I shared a furnished studio in the building. The street itself has a lot of tourist, so we would always walk to the West a little to SoHo, and it has a really cool vibe. It was fun walking around Little Italy and China Town too. The building was nice. It was wintertime so the roof deck wasn’t setup, but it seemed like it would be a cool place to hang out in the summer. I don’t know if we will be back to NYC anytime soon, but if we did come back we would definitely stay here again.

I’ve lived at 165 E 89th St. since 2012 and decided to move out last February. I loved my apartment, but I had to move out to Long Island for a new job. Well… the job didn’t work out and I’m back in the city seven months later apartmentless:(Luckily for me Emmut Properties turned my frown upside down… I called them up and they got me back into an even nicer studio than the one I gave up earlier this year. The best thing? Even thought the rents in the building had gone up, they gave it to me at the same price as my old apartment and this one is even nicer since it faces the street! I’m so excited to be back in my old building! I missed my deli friends and everyone else on the block. Thank you Emmut Properties!

I’ve been living at the building for nearly 15 months and couldn’t be more happy. It is a very nice and clean building. Per location, it’s one of the nicer non-doorman buildings I’ve seen in the area. The super and customer service department are very attentive when addressing needs, issues, or complaints. Thee only time I had to call and get something taken care of is when I first moved in, and they took care of it within a day.

This is a nice building in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet and it is within a short walking distance of Whole Foods, the subway, and some good shopping on E 86th St. There is both laundry and an elevator in the building, which are great amenities for the price of the apartment. I think the management company has changed recently– they are polite and responsive.

I wish there was an option for ZERO stars… I know apartment hunting is so hard in NYC but whatever you do, no matter how desperate, DONOT sign a lease with these people(or Eastville Management). On the outside, they upkeep their buildings nicely but inside there are mice, cockroaches & other insects.(I currently live in their building on 165 E 89th St) Not to mention they are the cheapest building we have ever dealt with in NYC(our 4th building). They refuse to replace broken items in your unit & the building. The washer/dryers have been eating quarters & leaving clothes sopping wet ever since we moved in a year ago & the elevator almost never works. The water is undrinkable & the hot water is iffy. The owners live in the PH level and are so loud & rude you’ll never sleep if you rent on the 4th floor. DONOTRENTHERE! Horrible company, horrible service & uncomfortable living conditions & good luck getting your security deposit back! We’ve been waiting for almost THREE months!
