J Wasser Management was with us for 2 whole years, ever since we moved to the city.
I sincerely couldn’t ask for a better management. We were freshly out of the oven new people living in the big city and J Wasser made our lives so much easier!
Always helping out when the apartment had problems, as well as the fact that we had a live in super who was amazing and helpful all the time, even on weekends — there was always a response and someone to reach out and assist.
They are easy to reach, to communicate, and very aware to their tenants. This is exactly why we renewed our lease twice! We really felt like someone was taking care of us and the apartment which was our home for so long.
Highly recommend and looking forward to be their tenants again in the future!

A truly great management! For two years they have been very helpful when it came to repairs, installations, and the initial process of lease signing.
They would always be on time when things needed to be fixed.
They are great at responding quickly and making sure that as a tenant in their buildings you get the best experience possible. Our super was constantly maintaining different things in the building itself, including cleaning the halls almost every day (it wasn’t until I moved that I realized how much I was taking this for granted!), fixing main door locks if needed and the fact that he was always around and extremely helpful was amazing! Would definitely recommend renting through this management, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to sign with them again in the future!

I’ve been with this management company for over three years and at two different apartments in Brooklyn, and while the lease signing process was a little rocky, they’ve become increasingly helpful with routine maintenance requests we’ve had over the years. The one big issue with the company itself is that they don’t have live-​in supers, so getting packages delivered can be difficult.
The things I really love about the company is the owner is super helpful in emergency situations (like when there has been a gas leak in our case) and has been reasonable with year-​to-​year rent increases.
FYI for potential new lease signers: The problem with the lease was there were some stipulations that were bogus (like being responsible for paying for repairs for the whole building if a fire occurred in our apartment but one that we were not responsible for). Fortunately, the father of my roommate at the time was a real estate lawyer, so he reviewed the docs and the company was open to making changes. They said they were using a standard NYC lease. Moral of the story is, I think, to be smart – just like with any lease signing situation or when dealing with any management company in the city.
I haven’t asked for my security deposit back as I’m on my fourth year with them and have used the same deposit, so I really hope I won’t have problems getting it back like one of the other reviewers!

If you are first time renters, this is not the company for you. First of all, they take you to hell and back and then to hell again. They held my deposit for two weeks and then gave us a solid ‘no’ on the day I was planning to move, (the first) preventing me from finding another place to live in time to move by my deadline. They are inflexible and unforgiving. They gave us a deal and then changed their mind at the last minute. When we went to get our deposit back, they told us that they had given it to someone else by mistake and would not write another check! Police had to get involved and it got really ugly. Please do not do anything through this company!

Office lacks professionalism and organization. Poor communication.
–Went to go sign the lease and they didn’t tell us that we needed a certified check to get the keys to our new place. Wonderful.
–All correspondence tends to be better via email. Phone calls go unanswered. Voicemails are full, unable to leave a message.
–No live in Supers
–Lacks credibility
–Screws you over on your security deposit
–Buildings lack stability
Will NEVER rent from them again.
