I ordered a red leather bean bag seat and and mirror from an Italian designer that I waited 6 months for and neither pieces ever arrived. I called for two months afterwards asking for any sort of explanation as to why I had not heard anything about the status of my order but no word. In fact, no one even answered the phone most of the time when I called and my messages were never returned. This was some of the worst customer service I ever experienced and I finally had to call my credit card to file a claim and luckily was returned my money. I highly recommend you stay away from purchasing anything from this place as you are likely to never see either your furniture or money again.

This company is definitely a scam. I ordered a table and chairs from them in December with expected delivery by the end of March. I have not heard anything from Emil or anyone else at this so-called company. I have left numerous messages on their voicemails and sent emails to Emil and to Duval group with no response. Today I went to all three addresses I found for them on the internet(79 Pine St., 160 Pearl St. and 37 West 17th Street in NY, NY) and there is nothing at any of these addresses. I have filed a dispute with my CC company and will get this money back! DONOTBUYFROMTHEM!

We ordered a new Queen bed, two nightstands and a dresser… PRIOR to reading any of the reviews of google and Unilocal.I guess I am the idiot for not doing the due diligence. We were told to expect delivery in 2 – 3 weeks… we are now approaching week 6, and have not heard from the company, other than a bs email two weeks ago telling us the furniture would be delivered early in the week.(again, that was early last week…2 weeks ago) and that«they were having trouble with their phone and internet systems.» Seems funny that they were still able to email us, duh??? Still, we have no furniture. We have called all their phone numbers, including the numbers on the website, phone numbers in their emails, on their invoices, and ones we could find online. We even sent them emails. We have had no replies, no calls back… nothing at all. Nobody answers the phone, and nobody calls back when you leave a message. We have called with different names, from different numbers, to see if they are screening our number, but still, nobody has answered. Avoid this company at all costs. I personally plan to go confront the people who work for this company down on West 17th Street when I get out of my office early enough one of these days, or hopefully Duval. Piece of garbage company, piece of garbage customer service, same old set of excuses it seems.

This so-called«business» deserve negative stars for all the grief we’re going through to get our money back. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a sleeper sofa from them. The company promised us delivery in two weeks, and instead it took five weeks with many, many phone calls(we live in Chicago, but they assured us before we purchased the sofa that they could deliver). On delivery day, it was immediately apparent that rainwater had seeped through cracks in the plastic wrapping and one edge of the sofa was soaking wet with filthy water from the back of the delivery truck. Then, upon removing the plastic wrapping, we discovered 1) a six-inch gash near the side of the couch’s seat that had been carefully covered up with cardboard before being wrapped for shipping, and 2) it was the wrong product. The sofa we had ordered was light brown with pillows of the same color, and what we got was camo green with tan pillows. We refused the sofa and sent it back with the deliveryman. After several more phone calls, the company initiated a refund process through Paypal, and we actually had hope that we could put the whole terrible experience behind us. That hope was extinguished upon receipt of this automatically generated email from Paypal: «An eCheck payment from Emil Duval was declined by the sender’s bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days.» And then one week later: «The refund sent by Emil Duval did not clear from the sender’s bank. You have not received funds for this payment in your PayPal account. Please contact Emil Duval regarding this refund.» At the present time, we have initiated a fraud investigation through our credit card company and a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. Please learn from our experience and run, run, run away from this company.

THISPLACEISANINTERNETSCAM! Do not order from them — they will take your money and never send furniture. I ordered a coffee table online without having read prior reviews(my fault). It was supposed to be delivered in 2 – 3 weeks. Three weeks later, I had received no email, no shipping confirmation, nothing, and my online account status still says«Processing.» We have called six times during business hours — three times, we’ve gotten no answer, and three times, the person who answers is unable to help us and says she will call us back. Not surprisingly, we’ve heard nothing. After quick review of Unilocal and Google reviews, I realized that this place has taken money from several other people and never sent furniture. At first, I worried that their cheap prices meant that the furniture would be crap; I now realize that it’s just a fake site. They should be prosecuted.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a furniture store. We purchased a TV Stand in early February and never heard from them again. We had to call multiple times a day just to get someone on the phone to tell us an update on the order. When we finally received the unit(over two months later) we were told that there was only minor assembly and yet there was nothing assembled. Avoid this place at all costs they were a nightmare to work with.
