Fantastic! I love their plate options. They really fill you up. OMG their seasoned fries are so good! The best thing about the plate is you get some salad so the meal is balanced. Frozen yogurt also very good.

I enjoyed my beef and lamb«yeero» with whole wheat pita, basil tzatziki, and fries. The beef was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy. And the food arrived astonishingly quickly. This place really moves quickly! I felt that this place offers a great deal for the money at lunch time, and delivers quality fast food. I am happy I work near this establishment, because I definitely will be back to sample additional items, and certainly I will try the frozen yogurt in the summertime. Overall the food was exactly what you would expect for such a fast food establishment. I am giving this four stars because I was impressed that I received a relatively healthy and well balanced meal for a decent price and delivered to me at a fast speed. Those complaining that the food is not authentic — it isn’t. But I don’t see the place as trying to be. It’s fast food. And on that level, this place delivers.

Working for a couple days at freedom plaza — decided to check out this place. It’s pretty big — and has a clean look; always nice in a place peppered with small whole-in-the-wall joints! Their«claim to fame» is the various types of gyro meat and sauces that allow you to personalize your gyro. They have a bunch of rotating spits in back — and are constantly cutting meat at lunch time. I decided to go traditional and give the lamb and beef gyro a shot. It was pretty good — quite lean and not greasy at all — but it lacked a certain flavor, and I found it somewhat bland. I had their seasoned fries as well — also nothing to write home about. Overall, I’d come back if it was convenient — it’s not a bad lunch at a decent price. Service was snappy, the bathrooms were clean, but the food wasn’t fantastic.

I like this place. I get a Yeero plate with the lamb and beef combo and any one of the tzatziki sauces, and I’ve had the slaw and the fries(well seasoned, not overly salty, and a tiny bit crispy). It also comes with a small garden salad and tomatoes on the plate, as well as some pita bread. It’s a good amount of food for approximately $ 10-$ 11. Great if you want something tasty that has a lot of variety.

I really enjoyed the Chicken Gyro and the fries. Outside of Greece I’d only eat a Gyros in Astoria. I Absolutely enjoyed this the seasoning was great, food was fresh and hot. The staff was very friendly though busy and in no way rude. I will definitely return and I recommend you give this place a try.

We went here with two gluten free ladies and one vegan. Everything here was perfect for my whole group. We had plans for one location around the area, walked in and then out. I wasn’t a fan of the atmosphere. We then tried Mexican food which is lots of options, but then realized it was closed. After a whole day of walking, hiking, and carrying lots and lots of bags we finally found a spot we all could enjoy, relax, and hang out. The food was great. The chicken was flavorful and delicious. I got french fries which were a great pair. I got a salad with a great tasty greek yogurt with lemon and cucumber flavors. I was a huge fan. I would safely stick with the platter. Delicious :) Happy New Year Everyone…

I almost dont want to write about this because I want it to myself but I’m obsessed with this place. The options for a Yeero or grillers are all good and the prassino tzatziki is delicious. Aegean slaw is another bonus– love it all! If you are in the area def give it a try.

The staff is unbelievably rude. Why did I tip them? …It’s a cafeteria setting. I’d go back for the food, but given the rude and abrasive staff, no thanks. Very strange. The food and portion is fair. Oh, and if you’ve ever been to Greece, no, this is not Greek food.

I pre-ordered delivery yesterday for today but the delivery guy showed up yesterday so I had to send him back. Despite the rough start, today my food showed up on time in their cute packaging. I ordered lentil salad with feta, side of 2 different kinds of tzatziki and greek yogurt with honey and walnuts. I got 2 different kinds of tzatziki because(1) a review here said the lentil salad was flavorless,(2) GRK seems to pride itself in its tzatzikis and(3) the company is paying for it. I actually weren’t a big fan of either, because they tasted more like herbed mayo to me due to how thick they were. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pita either. It was too dry and tough. The lentil salad was delicious though. I really didn’t mind that it was light in flavor, because the vegetables and olive oil were fresh enough that nothing heavy was needed. I also cannot stress how tasty the cretan rusks are. Just try them and you would not go back to regular croutons. I do wish there were more feta, since I was charged extra for it. The greek yogurt was really tasty. They really didn’t skimp on the portion of toppings.

GRK is a solid, fast-food, lunch spot. Although it can get busy during the lunch hour, the food comes out quickly and there’s a fair amount of seating inside. I usually order the platter. For a little over $ 10, the platter comes with a main dish(lamb/beef, chicken, pork, portebello), fries or rice, salad, and pita bread. The bread is very soft while the fries are non-greasy and flavorful. For fast food, this place offers a fresh and delicious menu.

In Greece the pita gyro is 2 euros and is filled with flavorful pork meat or chicken with tomato onions, tzatziki AND french fries! the platter is 8 euros and has triple the amount of food. Here I tried both the pita gyro and the platter. the pita gyro –pork has no flavor, dry and oily. Its missing the french fries and its really expensive for the quality and quantity of meat. only tomato no onions. tzatziki was mediocre. platter — It comes with a salad, some tomatoes and lettuce no onions… really weird. I ordered the fries to make a traditional pita gyro and its was still disappointing. The pork meat was thin, dry, oily, chewy and surprising flavorless. If the meat is sourced from local farms I would expect a bolder flavor from the meat. In Greece this would be the place the locals avoid and dislike for the fakeness of traditional food. The tourist would be impressed by the décor of the restaurant and disappointed in taste of the food. It gets 2 stars for the décor.

Not amazing, but pretty good if you don’t expect zesty and herbaceous authenticity. The meats and potatoes and breads and yogurts are really good, but the salads fall flat for me. There’s not enough flavor variation: definitely needs more olive, lemon, garlic, oregano, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, parsley, dill, nutmeg, cinnamon — the bold combinations that make Greek food distinctive and memorable. When the place is called GRK, sorry, but I actually want Greek! But… A Lentil Salad with Beef & Lamb and Spicy Tzatziki is large enough to stuff two people for about $ 14 — it just needs about ½ lemon and a bunch of herbs added over it to make it less bland — so, it’s perfect for taking home to eat.

Ambiance/décor-4 Service-3 Food-4 Strikeouts-0/3 Nothing special about the service here. Order, pay, and collect food when called, Pretty average. The look has a bit of a modernized retro diner theme. Ordered a plate, beef and lamb, prassino style and seasoned fries. For 10 bucks, you get a bit more than your regular fast food joint. The food is still warm, the bread is still soft, and the fries aren’t mush! Better than what I expected for 10 bucks. If you’re in the neighbourhood, worth dropping by if you need a quick bite.

GRK NY: Manhattan: FiDi 7:30p Friday 11th September 2015 Four Stars After a good workout, we decided to get some fast quasi-healthy food. The Yeero(Phonetic Spelling) or Gyro(Traditional Spelling) is a vertical rotisserie of meat. I had a plate of Beef and Lamb with Kaftero(Spicy Tzatziki) and Aegan Slaw($ 10.85 after tax). The meat was definitely heavy on the cow and light on the lamb. The proportion size was definitely small. The Sauce was not spicy. They claim the use of Habaneros but it definitely lacked heat(2 White Girl Spice Level). The Slaw was great. The mixture of red & green cabbage, carrots, onions with the lemon-y vinaigrette was spectacular. The pita was fresh, fluffy inside, and crispy on the outside. Next Time, I am getting a wrap with a side of slaw.

I met a girlfriend for an early dinner at GRK one night after work. The set-up of the seating is similar to that of Chipotle’s — lots of long tables with chairs. The workers behind the register were friendly and ready to take our order as soon as entered. I ordered the Lamb/Beef Plate and my gf had the same. The ingredients were super fresh and flavorful. Everything was delicious!!! I’ll definitely be returning for lunch one of these days!

I was prepared to have my mind blown since my coworkers told me this place had really good gyros. I guess it’s alright and I would go back again, but here are a few notes: If you’re hungry, get the platter. It’s going to be a lot of food, but it’s better than ordering a single gyro which I thought would get me full. It didn’t. And get the Kaftero sauce — it’s not that spicy if you’re an adventurous eater. Service. There was some confusion with my group’s order on my part. Essentially, they placed my gyro next to a platter on the same tray so I never saw the gyro. When I went back to the counter, I got yelled at with, «The gyro is on the platter.» I’m sorry, I do speak English fluently but somehow that sentence just did not compute. Gyro = platter? What? Tell me that the gyro is on the same TRAY as the platter OR simply put it on its own tray because why would you put 3 orders on two trays when it’s for 3 people? And now I feel more like an idiot disseminating this. Different soda, pop, fizzy drink or whatever you want to call it. If I had known the soda fountain was something more than Pepsi/Coke, I would have ordered a drink. I might recommend getting this thing to go, but if you want to sit there, there are plenty of seats.

Hungry and walked by this place and decided to give it a shot(without stopping to check Unilocal) Food 2⁄5 Value 3⁄5(Big portion) Décor 2⁄5 Comfy 3⁄5 Cleanliness 1⁄5(SOMANYFLIES) Space — 4⁄5(Big place) The setup of this place is similar to Chipotle: Line up — Pick your choices — pay — Find a table — clean up after yourself I ordered a plate — it comes with 4 pita slices, choice of meat/veggie, choice of a side, salad, choice of sauce) ~ $ 10 You’ll get a fairly big tray of 4 things each taking a corner and the sauce of your choice in the middle. I picked chicken, which was on the saltier side and dry. The GRK sauce, tasted like sour cream + cucumber + mint, was thick and did help to go with the dry chicken but they don’t give you a lot of sauce, which also got everywhere on the fries and not my meat :(Fries was boring and required quite a bit of ketchup(more to that later). Salad was disappointing, chopped lettuce and some small tomato pieces and bacon bits(?) I didn’t like the pita, it was very hard and dry and without flavor. The self serve counter has some utensils and salt and pepper packets. Hmmm where is ketchup/mustard? Oh FYI you have to ask the busy cashier and or call for whoever behind the counter just to get some condiments. I got fries as my side, and the fries most definitely needed the ketchup. At GRK, a plate was big enough to feed 2 people, so if you come as a pair, it would be wise to order a plate and share. Did I mention this place is kind of dirty? During my stay of 30mins, I saw about half a dozen of flies dancing in the air and gliding very close to me and my food ;o UGH

Today was my third or fourth time here for lunch, over the past year or so. I usually get takeout and bring it back to the office to eat. With the platters you seem to get the most for your money. Today I ordered a salad for the first time because it is Lower Manhattan #GetLow Tuesdays and GRK on Fulton participates in the 20% off promotion. So thanks to the discount, I ordered the Kale salad plus Gyro meat(the platter would be cheaper than the salad since the platter already includes meat.) The salad was a good size, a mix of kale and lettuce, and they are generous with the protein.(As they should be since I paid extra for it!) My main gripe is that I had to pay $ 1 for tzatziki sauce to go with my salad. It should be included since I already paid for gyro meat, which, in my opinion, is not the same without tzatziki. So I think the salads are a bit of a rip-off and will therefore just get the platters going forward. I got the GRK tzatziki. Instead of getting the spicy one I prefer regular and then just add sriracha(I always have a bottle at my desk.) They gyro meat wasn’t bad. not as juicy/flavorful as from a more authentic Greek place, but I assume this place makes it somewhat healthier? *shrugs*

Propre, rapide et surtout très gouteux ! Sans doute l’un des meilleurs endroits de NYC pour manger un grec !
