This place is across from my job so I go here frequently. I get the same drink every day. Iced-T sweetened with no lemon or ice(don’t laugh… it’s middle ground between not having hot tea and not having a drink so cold I am shivering in the office). I get this drink so often the lovely ladies at the register already know my order. So one day last week I get my iced-t and while waiting for my food I take a sip and immediately know something is wrong because it taste like chemicals. This has never happened before so I think maybe it’s me and take another sip… yup def something wrong. I go to the counter and quietly without making a scene let the closest worker making the coffee know something is wrong with the drink and if he would be kind enough to just get me another. Maybe something was in the cup? He looks at me disgusted and said nothing is wrong with it but we will get you another one. That was rude but I dismissed it. I go there frequently and since nothing like this ever happened before I don’t want to make a big deal about it. I get the second drink and my food is ready. Since he was so rude in reordering my drink he didn’t ask for it to be sweetened. No biggie I can add the sugar myself. I taste the drink again and I am hit with the same chemical taste. Something is clearly wrong with this mix and I go back to just switch to coffee. The same rude man from before now proceeds to tell me that again there is nothing wrong with it and it is because I don’t have ice in it. Really? The same drink I get without ice EVERYTIME?! So I tell him no that is not it and I am not here to make a scene so I just want to switch to coffee. Without asking me what I want he orders an iced coffee then when I tell him no I just want a hot coffee he gets angry and says what do you want? Makes my coffee with more attitude and sends me on my way. A miracle I didn’t curse him out but I like everyone else there and know I will be back. Fast forward to today. Lady at register asks if I want my usual iced tea and I say no and order my coffee with 2 old fashioned donuts(stop judging me I was hungry). Get upstairs and start eating and the donut is not fully cooked so it is doughy inside. I try the second one and the same thing. Officially done with this location. One rude person and two uncooked donuts are deal breakers for me!

Dunkin’ Donuts NY: Manhattan: FiDi 9:30am Saturday 20th February 2016 Three Stars The virtual glut of places open in the Financial District on Saturday morning is pretty astounding. I was forced once again to visit Dunkin Donuts. There was an out of town family in front of me. It took 15 minutes to get a coffee and Chicken Snack and Go($ 2) which is just a small tortilla filled with a chicken tender, cheese, and bacon.

The closest Dunkin Donuts prior to this location was on Beaver Street. Now there is a location on Broad Street for those of us closer to South Ferry! Let me start by saying this is a TINY location. There are two registers, a queue for the line, and a small waiting area on the other side of the counter. The straws and napkins are kept right by the door, that’s how small this location is. But don’t let the size fool you(that’s what she said), this location is great. The line moves fast, the employees are friendly, and they are yet to screw up my coffee order. Small iced coffee, black, with a pump of sweet caramel. Hold the milk, hold the sugar. They always get it right and they always do it with a smile on their face. DD is still a better and cheaper place to grab a cup o’ Joe rather than some of the fancier coffee shops in the area.
