Don’t know why this place has so many poor reviews! It’s awesome-I just came here tonight with my boyfriend and had a great experience. Prices here are extremely reasonable-6 dumplings(chicken, pork, or veggie) for 3.59! They also give you the option to choose between pan-fried and steamed so there’s definitely something for everyone. My boyfriend and I decided to keep it small and ordered 8 veggie and chicken dumplings, a chicken bao, and jasmine ginger tea. The atmosphere of the place is pretty much a college kid’s haven-chill, friendly workers, cheap food, and good throwback music. The food came quickly and it was really good quality. The meat of the chicken dumplings and bao tasted super fresh and both were very filling. We even got an extra chicken bao before we left because it was sooo good. Also, their tea is amazing. They have lots of different tea combinations so definitely take a look at that when you’re there. Overall, this is a little West Village gem. I’ll be coming here more often!

I love dumplings in general and this is my go to place when I want something quick to pickup. The staff is great. There are a few options with dumplings and they are all delicious. I also like their pork bao. It is a little thicker than I would like. But the pork is tasty.

Delivery order took over and hour and 30 minutes — order from somewhere else!!! There are plenty of options in NY, customers are not important to this business. Ultimately CANCELLED order after waiting an HOUR&45 Minutes

Had a mix of the pork and chicken original dumplings, steamed They were very bland Honestly, I couldn’t really tell much of a difference between the pork and the chicken the taste was that bland The only reason I don’t really give them 1 or 2 stars is cause they were cheap

I can’t really report on the food because the food never came. After placing my ‘to go’ order from a nice kid, he said he’d let me know when it was ready so I posted up against a far wall. After ten minutes of waiting, I start to get ancy. I ordered this to go for a reason. I live in BK, ain’t nobody got time to wait for 20 minutes when they could have been home. I watched the people that ordered behind me get their food and polish it off. Sitting, relaxing with full bellies while mine was growling. Perfect. 17 minutes post-ordering, I was informed that they were waiting for the water to boil to cook the noodles. 17 minutes to boil water? Are we kidding? These people weren’t slammed busy. there were literally four other people. What the hell has been going on the last 17 minutes? Once 20 minutes passed, I asked for a refund. When I asked for a refund, one employee told me it was almost done and I should just wait. Another employee behind he counter shook his head. The first employee tried to tell the other guy to give me the undercooked noodles. Nah, bro. Finally convinced them that a refund was due and they fought over who would have to do it. Sweeeet. The atmosphere seemed fine and truly, I don’t give out one star reviews… like have never ever given one but these bros deserve it. Don’t bullshit me. I’m paying you $ 8 for some beef broth and noodles. Do a better damn job. No thanks.

The people here are super nice and attentive. The food was fine. Unfortunately, though, I found a strip of metal in my chicken bao. When I informed the staff quietly(did not want to make a scene, since many people were around eating), they apologized and took my tray for me. It probably isn’t their fault, since the food tasted as if it were pre-made/frozen(like most chain food is). I would avoid in the future, though.

Broken-on-arrival Sampler Platter of 8 different dumplings(of the 10 available, including the two with a $ 1 supp, which is waived in the sampler), oddly seasoned mound of rice, and a mediocre sesame bao. Doesn’t seem like an efficient thing to offer, even if it is pricey for dumplings. Unilocal checkin special or NYUID for 10% off.

Extremely friendly staff, basil chicken rocks and dumplings are great for this price. And the place in general feels really good — you want to return here.

Place is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and seemed to be made to order. Nothing was raw. Yeah, it’s not as authentic and cheap as Chinatown, but it’s not IN Chinatown.

This place opened a while ago and the staff and quality was so poor that they had to close down and reopen. Before they reopened, me and my coworkers tried eating there and the chicken was still raw in the dumpling. Disgusting. You think that they would get it together this time. I went in a few weeks ago and they have all these strict menu options and they forgot half the food and I had to constantly go back to the counter to get what I ordered. I really wanted to give them another shot so I just went by there today to order a combo meal. But apparently the dumplings I wanted aren’t allowed on the combo meal. It’s just too confusing and pretty retarded. The place is just a joke. That’s prob why there is never anyone there. I work right next store to the place and would have been a steady customer but I cannot stand just crappy service and convoluted menus that make no sense. I really don’t think this restaurant is long for this world.

So apparently this place is a chain, but don’t hold that against the folks at least at this fine location. We had the xiao long bao, or whatever anglicized name they put on the menu. What I can tell you about the flavor though is that it was not anglicized — it was fantastic, someone is definitely putting their best foot forward. Honestly some of the best xiao long bao I’ve ever had — perfectly crafted skin, not to thick not too thin. Delicious meat filing, and most importantly they were juicy with soup filling, perfectly held in by that awesome skin. They don’t break or tear when you pick them up, and yet the skin doesn’t overwhelm the flavor — instead you eat one and get a flavor explosion in your mouth. Awesomeness accomplished. (btw there is a photo of a dumpling that looks like a screaming cartoon monster — so thanks for that Jason C.) The interior is pleasant and tastefully decorated.

My family and I went here after the Pride parade. We ducked in because it was the only semi empty place within a 5 block radius. I’m assuming it was because it doesn’t serve alcohol and the restroom was«out of order». Whatever the reason, we were all glad we did. We ordered 4, 10pc dumplings: the pork, 2 chicken and basil, and a chicken with veggie. All were great. What really pushes a restaurant to get stars is the service. The time it took for us to get our food was amazing for the volume of people that was there. The lady behind the counter even brought out our food to us. All and all it was a great experience to end a great day.

I really enjoyed the dumplings. I stayed at the place and it was a nice environment. Not many people tend to go at night I guess but the chicken and pork dumplings were great. Definitely recommend if you like dumplings and the tea was great as well.

I passed by dumpling Go on my way home from work and figured I’ll just get some dumplings for dinner rather than having to go home and cook myself. The place is modern and spacious. I thought to myself okay this feels inviting. I proceed to order two of the for 5/$ 4.95 special. I got the kimchee pork and the Thai basil chicken. The wait wasn’t too long, maybe around 10 mins. The kimchee pork dumpling tasted okay. It wasn’t bad or anything, it was just more on the bland side. I wasn’t wowed by the flavor profile. Now onto my FAVORITE part of my visit. the THAIBASILCHICKEN! I was looking forward to try it because it sounded delicious and I was told by the cashier that it was their best seller. Upon my first bite, the texture felt weird in my mouth so I looked down to my half bitten dumpling between my chopsticks. Shockingly, ITWASFREAKINGRAW!!! Not just a little raw, it was bloody raw! The chicken was so raw that a skilled Vet could still save it. Furious, I got up and walked to the kitchen pick up window and showed them the raw dumpling. They apologized and said they’ll send out a new batch. So I waited. After around 10 mins or so they sent over my newly cooked dumplings. I was a bit iffy about popping them into my mouth like I did previously. So I poked it open to make sure they were fully cooked this time. The first three that I checked was safe to eat. Then the fourth one that I popped open, ITWASFREAKINGRAWAGAIN!!! like seriously!!! How do you managed to send out 2 rounds of raw dumplings?! JUSTHOW?! I don’t understand how you can have one dumpling that’s completely raw and the others well done when you cook them all in the same time. By the second try, I had lost all hopes. I was not about to take my chance on another piece of raw chicken three time in a roll! So I got up and left. And sadly, I ended up having to cook dinner when I got home anyway. Dumpling Go? more like Dumpling No.

The food was good, but not so delicious that I would feel the need to go back. The quality was no better than your average Chinese place. Both times the place was almost empty with just one or two other people waiting for their food. So they are fast.

Overall it’s a very cute place but I think it’s a lil pricey for a small dumpling and the ordering is confusing. The man in front of me on line was so confused he actually stormed off and left! It has potential. I ordered the soup dumplings and I assumed it was going to be in soup:-(but the soup was in the dumpling. Still yummy but it should have been served in a bowl so I could catch all the soup that fell out of the dumpling when I bit into it. The cardboard plate pretty much absorbed most of the soup part. I would maybe add a sampler dish, all the dumplings sounded great but I wasn’t going to spend $ 40 trying them all. It’s a new place so I can’t be too harsh but I’d probably come back again in a year just to see if they made it easier and more clear to order.

First thing I noticed was the clean, modern décor inside which is always appreciated when venturing to a new spot. Very quick service too… they prepared our dumplings in about 5 minutes! However, two things knocked its 2 stars off. The staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable at all. I understand this location just opened 3 months ago, but the cashier knew next to nothing about the menu and knew only the lines she probably had memorized. They just didn’t seem very educated on the restaurant’s menu which was frustrating and unprofessional. The dumplings were mediocre at best. I appreciate the variety of tastes they’re going for. They ranged from pork kimchi to thai basil chicken to vegetable mushroom, pretty good variety. But the flavors just didn’t pop out. All in all, kind of bland and not very exciting.

Nice and clean environment. Warm cashier service. Creative dumpling dishes. The dumplings are fusion of Mexican, Korean and Chinese food Food is ready very fast around 5min. However, it is a little pricy comparing to other dumpling places. 5 for $ 4.99, 10 for $ 9.59.

Intrigued after seeing this place take over for the sushi place that moved across the street, I gave in to my curiosity and ordered some dumplings this weekend. The fillings here were concocted for the Village Millennial palate, but the tasty texture of a classic Chinese steamed dumpling was unmistakable. We had a few Thai basil chicken(primed with spices) and the mushroom/veggie and both were delicious. I appreciated their dedication to piquant sauces, from the house sauce(a variation on soy) to the chili oil(yeah!), Sriracha, and others. Staff was very nice. Prices were high compared to Chinatown(as you would expect) but about right for the neighborhood. The place is still trying to gain its foothold into the neighborhood and I hope it succeeds.

Just got my first order here and it’s amazing, the dough is very thin and tastes amazing. I recommend the Thai basil chiken fried with the curry sauce. It’s not so expensive it’s 5 pieces for 5 bucks or 10 for 10 bucks and the portions of each dumpling is large. The mushroom dumpling is also very good it’s very fresh and you can see how natural the ingredients after taking the first bite. They come with specialty sauces, like a peanut sauce and wasabi sauce which you won’t get any where else. It’s a fun quick snack or can be a full meal depending on how much you order but the price is very low so it won’t break your budget and you can enjoy it several times a week.
