Duane Reade

Not that I expect much in terms of customer service when I goto a Duane Reade, but I do expect some sort of professionalism.
When I went to the counter, one of cashiers started complaining about his schedule and was cursing up a storm right around children. Not cool. There is a Duane Reade almost on every block, next time I’ll goto a different one.

Nice clean and 24 hour place.
Pharmacy is not 24 hour. Staff is helpful but not very knowledgeable.

I went back 2 Duane Read right by my place. I know, shame on me… I always laugh about people complaining about service somewhere yet continuing to give them business. No excuses, but it was right before a big snow storm (or one that didn’t really happen) & I needed a few things really badly. I went to get something from behind the pharmacy counter (dreading what I was probably going 2 go thru) & the pharmacist tech was very nice & helpful (big change from past experiences). The biggest plus was the pharmacist working that evening who was very friendly & helpful! Unexpected good result…

I was pleased to see a new location open up nearby the bf’s apartment, with the only downside being that it replaces the Club Monaco that used to be here (RIP, Club Monaco, you will be missed). The space is pretty big, clean, and very well-​stocked. DR is doing a great job with the recent makeover/​re-​branding. Love their «deLish» snacks and drinks.
