Always a pleasant experience! I go here solely to get my prescriptions filled. There’s never a line and I’ve only waited up to 10 minutes for them to do it on the spot. The staff is very friendly and I like the personable and quick service as opposed to a Duane Reade or CVS.
For all of my other pharmacy needs I go to the chain pharmacies. There’s not a large selection of the everyday items I need, like lotion, face wash, etc. at this store. Which is a big downside.

A very nice chemist/​pharmacy, and as Chip S. mentioned, a very complete selection of shaving products from D.R. Harris, Trumper and Taylor of Old Bond, among others. The prices are relatively expensive (compared to the interwebs), but sometimes its nice patronizing an independently owned store. If you’re into the classic wet-​shaving scene and are a member of one of the online discussion forums they’ll thrown in a 10% discount which is sweet. I’d come here again if I was in the area. Nice staff, nice selection, no hassles.

Another shop with a large selection of high end shaving products on the UES. While the prices are a little higher than Pasteur almost across the street, they do have a few products that Pasteur does not offer. The overall selection is not as broad, but it is still worth a look.
One more thing they have, space. You can walk around here without the fear of the isles falling in on you.

What a selection. They have so many obscure items that you don’t know where to start. They are likely the only company that carries Czech & Speake cologne in the U.S. The prices, however, make this place 3 stars only. It costs double of what Pasteur’s does for most products. Sigh… What it could have been,
