Honestly not a big fan. I had high hopes for this place because I like thin crust pizza but it’s just not that good. The issue is the crust is so thin it almost tastes like a stale cracker. New York has such good pizza, ie I can get much better pizza at 33rd Street pizza or rock’s number ii both of which are only a few blocks away and a short 5 minute walk that I really don’t envision ever coming back.

So I went back to doughboys(by force) lol and had a much better experience… I believe the guy who served us name is Anthony(the shorter guy). He was extremely polite and listened to me venting. Needless to say, he gave us a slice of pizza and they are once again, one of my best spots to dine.

It was decent pizza. Really liked the dough. I felt like I was in a club which is good for certain age groups. I would definitely go back again for a late night snack.

Ordered a plain slice, Margherita slice, and a bottle of water and everything came out to about $ 10. Their pizza crust is unique– they sprinkle sesame seeds on it. It makes for a good crunch and a different pizza eating experience. Pizza was alright, but wouldn’t be coming back. The pizza is too pricey for my personal budget. But nice side note– while my boyfriend and I were eating here, a man & his kid came in. One of the employees comped the little boy a fried mac and cheese ball. That was considerate and pleasant to see. Nice customer service.

Feels like an Italian grandma made the delicious meatballs we had for dinner tonight. I could only eat ONE meatball, they are that big. Get some!

I ordered a slice and I was super apprehensive to eat as the establishment was empty and there were more than half a pie remaining. The pizza looked stale with coagulated cheese. Wasn’t appetizing looking at all. The guy behind the counter heated my slice and alas, the pizza looked fresh again. The taste was actually good. Crispy crust, and ooey cheese, and the sauce was good too. Overall, it was a good slice.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in the city. I eat pizza four days a week and Dough Boys is really something unique and different. If you want a nice treat and an amazing environment, I highly recommend Dough Boys!

Just came back here last night and ordered a chicken roll, which now costs $ 10 up from $ 7! It wasn’t really that good either. Mediocre food at prices 60% higher than the other decent pizza places in the area. 2 stars because their eggplant parm pizza is decent(although it’s also very expensive).

Edit; I called your store to see if you were in. Let me know when you are so I can come by and talk. Instead you messaged back«You sound like a woman complaining over nothing. You have your period or something?» That’s what you say back? Ordered a pie on New Year’s Eve along with a salad for our vegetarian. Pizza comes a half an hour late, which is understandable since it’s NYE and I understand it’s busy, but comes without the salad. We call Doughboys to ask where the salad was and we are told they ran out of lettuce. We then ask why we did not receive a call and they said they were too busy to call. We mention that a call back would have been nice and we have nothing to give our vegetarian friend and the owner then barks back«order from a vegetarian place instead next time.» If that’s the case then why have it on the menu? I was going to give it a three out of five stars and chalk up Anthony’s poor response to it being NYE and it’s busy… that was until I read the other comments on here. Anthony, responding back to the negative comments with snide remarks just makes you look petty. It’s sad to see a grown man writing scathing remarks like a high school girl. If you were wrong just apologize instead of hanging up on people. It all worked out in the end; Seamless refunded the whole order, and unfortunately since I like the pizza at Doughboys, I will be going to Brick Oven Pizza 33

Stale dough, poor ingredients, and why would you ruin pizza with sesame seeds? Nothing was fresh and the pizza was chewy. Even worse they skimped on the already cheap ingredients. I’ve had infinitely better $ 1 slices. Overall I expected better.

It’s 2AM on Saturday and you’re stumbling out of a Murray Hill Bar: to Dough Boys you go! Dough Boys offers a wonderful place for drunk 22 – 30 year-olds to eat pizza without judgement. The slices are large and below $ 5. The varieties are endless. But, typically most patrons just point and yell, «PIZZA!» and hand a wad of cash to the cashier. The employees are all friendly young muscular guidos, who take pride in their pizza and enjoy the entertainment their 2AM crowd brings. The building is lit up green and is easy for even the drunkest of the Murray Hill residents to find.

Called for chicken parm dinner and they said they don’t make them at night only pies. Asked for wings and they said they ran out. Sucks for me I guess.

Came in on a rainy night at 9:30. Had the plain pizza mainly because it looked the most appetizing. I was very happy with my selection. Good cheese to sauce ratio. I loved the crust especially the toasted sesame seeds. No beer but they did have a selection of Stewarts sodas including Classic Rootbeer. I also appreciated a large and clean bathroom, a rarity in Manhattan pizzarias.

We were staying at the Shelburne(murray hill) and asked the front desk for the best pizza delivery. Hands down, dough boy. So glad we called them. It was amazing. There was only 2 of us, but we ordered a large anyway. The toppings were so fresh, and it was baked perfectly. The guy on the phone was nice, and they delivered fast. I will be back!

Sometimes it’s 2am on a weeknight and you’ve already made some ill-advised decisions, so you figure why not continue on this streak and seek out the cheesiest, most scrumptious NYC slice you can get your hands on within a 2 block radius. If you happen to be in Murray Hill/Kips Bay when this urge strikes, you’re in luck. Had both the Sicilian and eggplant slices here and both were just what I needed to get through the night.(You might think«need» is an exaggeration; I can assure you it’s not.) Speedy service, ample seating, and great balance of flavors. And sesame seeds! Not my favorite pizza on the planet, but definitely the best in this part of town.

I got a plain cheese pizza and the sicilian pizza. The cheese pizza($ 3) was a pretty big slice, but then I realized how incredibly thin the crust was so the pizza had an unbalanced crust to cheese ratio, so I was pretty disappointed. But the taste was good tho, and the crust had toasted sesame seeds on it, which gave it extra flavor. The sicilian slice($ 3) could have been better taste-wise, but I enjoyed the thick and soft crust. Both came out of the oven nice and hot. I was a bit disappointed in the service though. When I ordered, the guy was about to get my pizza out, but then saw his car getting ticketed outside, so he threw down his spatula on the counter and left. When he came back to deal with my pizza, he used the same spatula to get my pizza out of the oven. I really hope that counter was clean but I doubt it, as it is the same counter that customers lean on.

Came to doughboys for a quick dinner before a movie. Service was fast. They have a bacon-ful chicken bacon ranch slice that was meaty and delicious. I had the vodka sauce slice, which quickly became one of my all time favorites. Vodka sauce on pizza is so much better than tomato sauce! We also had their garlic knots, which were good and not completely drenched in oil. I liked that the pizza was extra crispy — also sesame seeds on the crust are an added delight. Would definitely come back! To finish off our meal, I had one of the cannolis. I didn’t realize that they were mini-sized, aka finished up in 1.5 bites. Also, it’s a bit pricey — $ 2.

When Dough Boys first opened up on this corner, I was really excited. Despite being maybe the 3rd pizza joint here in as many years, Dough boys seemed different. The sesame thin crust here is really unique and really tasty. The buffalo chicken was super flavorful, though not exactly a good value. Over time, I have found the quality has suffered and the chicken is kind of dry. The service here is just okay and the food just doesn’t always seem fresh. Dough Boys isn’t greasy enough to be great drunk eats, but is still really solid pizza that won’t leave you feeling stuffed. I haven’t ventured away from the pizza, because nothing else has seemed super enticing.

Vodka slice was slammin and the crust has sesame seeds on it. Only reason it gets a 3 is a bit small for a 4 dollar slice and it wasn’t quite like the way Italians make their Vodka sauce but this was still delicious, I just like my vodka sauce less watery. Definitely a nice spot to grab a quick slice. Also for just 50cent more you get bigger slices at Artichoke.

These folks need to get to an anger management class asap! The owners are very angry guys who love to take out their anger on customers. I had not been in here in a while, but after they added back some Italian things like eggplant parm heros, I thought I would give them a try again. MISTAKE! I ordered an eggplant parm hero from this site — Unilocal — it clearly stated on the menu two things: the hero was large — 12″ & the price was $ 8.00. I elected to pay cash and pickup. When I got there the owner, who already looked angry that he had to get off his cellphone to deal with a customer, was handed the Unilocal /EATSTREET order/payment thing for my hero, and right away he goes, «I don’t know where they got this price from, heros are ten dollars», and I’m like(nicely), «that is the price online, so I am not going to pay more.» He got very angry and took $ 8.00 from me and angrily says, «have a nice day». When I got home I measured it — it was 10 inches — maybe 10 ½. Why the obsession with a whopping 12″ if you are going to come up short? I will never set foot in or order from Dough Boys again. END. The hero was NOT worth $ 8.00 let alone $ 10.00. Not ready for Mid-Town.

Oh how little seeds can make a HUGE difference!!! The website doesn’t list the hours and I wouldn’t want to speak out of turn but I am fairly confident they were open after 3 am last Friday night. While I’m a big calzone fan, I opted for a slice of margerita. My partner got an eggplant slice and the chicken parm. I truly enjoyed mine! Seriously, those sesame seeds added a little extra something. He preferred the eggplant over the chicken parm. Prices were $ 4– $ 5 each slice. Pretty typical for a joint in NYC. If I was going for a meal, I’d need at least two slices to satisfy me which then gets a bit pricey so I’d suggest ordering a pie to share. Clientele at that time was meh. Some folks left their garbage which clearly irked the gentleman at the cashier. And because of those sesame seeds, my choice for pizza in the neighborhood.
