Great spot to grab lunch if you work in or near the world financial center. The line moves surprisingly quickly, despite how long it gets. Came here with a few colleagues during lunch. Had the carne asada burrito, which was amazing and definitely one of the best burritos that I’ve ever had. It tasted like chipotle, but just 10 times better. Highly recommend this place.

Compared to chipotle I like dos toros better. So I got the bowl of carnitas(pulled pork) for lunch with corn, black beans, rice & lettuce. I really did enjoy my lunch. The carnitas taste good, not salty at all & tasty. It blends perfectly with all the stuff that I pick to put in my bowl. I finished the whole meal & feel contented with my meal to keep me energized at work. Location is inside brookfield place, hudson eats food court. Actually this is my favorite place to eat. Its very clean, comfortable, lots of tables & chairs, nice ambience, bathroom is big and clean & outside is a big park that on the summer time you can bring your food while enjoying the weather, ride your bike, walk around or now thats its winter they have skating rink. So if your hungry for lunch then this is the place for you! It cost $ 9.75 for a bowl of carnitas.

A solid option for a lunch at Hudson Eats. The lines here are always pretty long, but they go the fastest of all the places in the food court, in my opinion. Everything here is pretty straightforward, just like at Chipotle; you have your bowls, burritos, quesadillas, etc. and selection of meats, beans, and salsas. However, some major differences are the rice that they have at Dos Toros, and the fact that the guac is a lot cheaper to add than at Chipotle. That being said, there really isn’t anything on the menu that’s outstanding. There’s nothing wrong with that though, as the offerings they do have are all pretty decent. My go-to is the chicken or carnitas burrito bowl, with pinto beans, guac and added fajita vegetables(for free!). If you get a burrito bowl, you can actually ask for the large tortilla on the side, which is a way to get extra value for your bowl, though not so good for avoiding carbs. The quality of ingredients is just okay, but on a good day, a fresh, well-made burrito/quesadilla from Dos Toros can really hit the spot. The service is very quick, although not the most attentive, as during lunch, they’re trying to crank out the orders as fast as possible, so little details might get lost in the mix. As for prices, value at Dos Toros is probably one of the best in Hudson Eats, in terms of calorie per dollar, heh. For just about $ 10, you can get a meal that may or may not put you to sleep, with all the fixings, and you really won’t ever have to worry about not being full. When it comes to speed and value, Dos Toros does a pretty good job, relative to all the places in the area. However, if you have a little extra time during the day, I prefer the burritos/burrito bowls at El Vez Burrito across the street, as they have some more unique offerings.

All the lines at Hudson Eats during lunch time are pretty terrifying but this is one of the least intimating. It starts off as one line and diverges into two, which then goes by pretty quickly. If it’s your first time here, you’ll probably end up at the front by the time you decide what you want to eat. I ordered the salad with chicken, which was pretty good and felt healthy enough. Definitely load up on the corns and salsa.

Dos Toros is what you’d expect from any Fast Casual Mexican Place now days. You just pick a bowl or burrito shell and start filling it up with all the toppings — so there’s not much more to expect here. In terms of quality, they’re great and the food is much more simpler in terms of taste — there’s not a lot of kick to it. This could be a good thing for some people but for me, I much prefer Chipotle and how they creatively balance all their flavors. Don’t get me wrong, Dos Toros is great stuff, but it doesn’t really introduce anything new to me, it just gets the(Burrito Bowl) job done and does it well enough.

Food is good. But chipotle is better. Im not saying this is a bad place to eat. Id like to reiterate that it does taste good. I get the chicken, steak, or pork platters when i do eat here … but I prefer to eat elsewhere.

Great authentic tasting food not your average Mexican spot. Smaller menu but the options available make up for it. Had the steak salad it was to die for with all the fixings including guacamole. Staff could stand to be a little less robotic though and maybe smile. Other than that A+ in my book.

Unsanitary. Second time I have had a burrito there and felt sick the rest of the day. They leave he meat sitting in those buckets for hours without really throwing out the older batches. Messed up.

Good, but I wish they had better vegan options. I loved the guacamole though!

Pros: shorter line for dinner, cheaper guac Cons: you’ll find tastier products elsewhere Chipotle and El Vez are so much better, but if you are in a hurry for dinner come here. The line is super short at dinner because Brookfield is empty. I got the basic burrito bowl with guacamole. It was pretty standard. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed that they don’t have corn or tofu to add to the bowl. Maybe I should try the tacos next time instead.

Favorite fast-food Mexican spot. I’d eat here over Chipotle any day. The ingredients seem much more fresh, and the portions are good for the price. The quesadilla is delicious, though pretty messy, so you may want to go with a burrito instead. Like every other place in Hudson Eats, expect a long line during the weekday lunchtime rush.

This is 2nd time to have lunch at this Mexican Chain. Since Plato carnitas I’ve tried at West village location was so good, I decided to have it again if I would have another chance. Today I came here with my husband, so I chose Plato carnitas, no beans, with bit of sour cream and red hot sauce. Staffs are all nice, they add more red rice upon my request. All the toppings were freshly cooked, very good. I felt this time the taste was even better than before! My husband ordered Brrito carnitas, with all toppings, and he agreed that it was definitely much much better than Chipotles’. I must try another location once again, say, Midtown. Thank you!

Dropped by their Hudson Eats location with giftcard from the LevelUp transition and None of the 3 staffers I interacted with even approached a smile, and it seemed to be closing time around 4:15pm, with no order to what used to be dividers/signs. Quesadilla with POLLOASADO naturally raised chicken($ 8.25) is easily the worst value on the menu, so spring the extra buck for beans & rice, or scale it back for a taco for about half that. Skip the extra spicy salsa, which has no nuance, it just overpowers the entire dish. The last time I had a quesadilla must’ve been Taco Bell more than decade ago, and that must’ve been half the price or less, yet Dos Toros was inexplicably worse, with no crisped edges and less flavor.

I usually adore Dos Toros but this location served me the coldest stalest tacos ever. Don’t waste your $$$. ***I complained to Dos Toros Info and they responded quickly, gave me a refund and promised to address the issue.

About average. I wandered all day and as such, I was quite hungry before hitting the path train. Options at Brookfield have improved a lot. But who could pass up a burrito? Not I. This is not Chipolte. Chipolte is infinitely better quality. But where Dos Toros really lacks is in service. I realize this is fast casual, but I don’t think a smile would kill the employees. Anyways, the chicken was a little bit dry and could have been marinated a little bit longer. The salsa options were lacking. The one thing that stood out was the cheese was melted into the burrito. That was rather unique and enjoyable. The rice was good too. It was yellow so I’m not sure how that differed in caloric intake from white or brown. I covered 10 miles and wasn’t too concerned about what I was eating. The portion was filling, but not gut busting after a full day of exercise. I did hit up the gym in the AM too. Anyways, not sure I would return with the other options at the food court but it serves it’s purpose.

I’ve never been to Brookfield Place and have to say this place is awesome! The food court has so many amazing options and this building is just so nice. A and I decided to get the chicken, pork, and steak tacos and split guac & chips. The tacos were all delicious but my favorite was the steak, followed by the pork and lastly, chicken. The guacamole and chips were delicious as well. I’m actually going to the Union Square location later today to pick up our dinner. :)

If you love chipotle & want to mix it up. I would definitely recommend you try Dos Toros. My coworkers love it & this location is awesome, newly renovated with a beautiful view of the Hudson. Personally I think the burrito bowls are just okay but definitely worth checking out. I got the carnitas which was pretty good. The guac was mediocre, but if you are a spicy person you would loveeee this place. I can handle spice like a champ but after maybe 4 bites i was guzzling down water & turning on the fan. The food here is fresh! I love that they are GMO free & nut free. I don’t have a nut allergy or anything but it’s great bc those that do don’t need to worry.

Dos Toros is okay, but mainly because it’s in Hudson Eats… This is a beautiful location, with fantastic views, at least at night, when I’ve been here — personally, I wouldn’t dare coming here during the day, because of the myriad business folk, but at night(they close at 9pm) it’s very comfortable and spacious. The setup is similar to Chipotle, but the food is superior. Although the carnitas didn’t have a lot of flavor(nothing a little lime couldn’t resolve), there was a lot of it, plus it was super moist and lean. And the carne asada was pretty good, considering it’s fast food. Burritos are massive, prices are reasonable considering the special surroundings, but the tacos are just okay. If you’re not that hungry, I suggest splitting a burrito with a friend, or saving the rest for later, because the additions of beans and rice really seals the deal. And the beers are a steal, $ 3 for a can of Tecate, in this setting, is awesome!

I needed to go a second time before I could give a review, mostly because I was so disappointed by my first meal there. On my most recent visit, I ordered a burrito with the braised pork. This was a good-sized burrito, and the pork was delicious. During the prep the team left too much liquid from the tomatoes and the black beans, so the wrap really wasn’t holding together too well. All in all it was a pretty decent burrito, though you may not want to unwrap more of it than you absolutely have to while eating. I got a quesadilla on my first visit, and it small, under-filled and lacking in flavor. This was probably a week after Hudson Eats – the food court housing Dos Toros and a dozen other places – had opened, so I took that experience as growing pains and held off writing about my experience. Since then they seem to have improved, but I have been to so many other terrific places within walking distance that serve the same food – and anything more than 3 stars necessitates a higher level of execution.

Obvious comparisons to Chipotle aside, this is some decent Mexican fast food. It’s a good choice at Hudson Eats since the line moves very quickly, as they prepare it on the spot as you order. It’s not a good choice though compared to a lot of the superior options a few steps away. If you are in the mood for Mexican though, you could do a lot worse. It’s a simple menu, with just tacos, burritos, bowls/salads and quesadillas. All have a choice of a meat filling of chicken, pork or beef, or a vegetarian one with beans. We tried one of each of the meaty tacos(about $ 4 each) and a Chicken Burrito($ 8.50). They were all pretty good, but surprisingly and disappointingly lukewarm, considering they were all assembled to order. In fact, the slice of cheese they place on the taco under all of the ingredients wasn’t fully melted, which was pretty weak. The tacos are nice if you want a smaller lunch and can’t deal with the heaviness of the better Mighty Quinn’s or Umami Burger. Otherwise, I’ll probably wait a few minutes on one of the longer lines in the future.
