Domino’s Pizza

Why would anyone rate a Domino’s on Unilocal?Well, because they’re not all the same. This Domino’s is run by some folks who definitely give a damn about their job when compared to some of the other Manhattan locations.
It’s clear they do a lot of business out of this location, so I’m often pleasantly surprised by their quick turn around times and friendly customer service at the register. I live around the corner so I can’t speak for delivery, but definitely a great carry out option.

We ordered from this location last night. They came earlier then the time they promised, food was good and the price was reasonable. I would order from here again. They lose one star for charging a delivery charge. In my opinion that is an outrage.

The. Worst. More than an hour late. No one picked up the phone (for more than an hour) Website unresponsive. Tiny pizza. Too late. Don’t order from here

Horrible service, the staff seems to be yelling at you and they definitely don’t talk in English. Not coming back

Food is good but the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SUPER BAD!!! Tried ordering online and you go nowhere… tried to order over the phone, the person answered on 12÷4÷15 @ 1045pm was SUPER RUDE! Don’t mind the «India» accent but he cuts me off when I’m ordering and in a hurry when I’m asking question plus «HANG UP» on me when I’m asking his name!!! Coz he knows I’m gonna complain. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!

I always order here, there on time and fast on delivery 90% of the time. the only problem i have is, they should hire employees who speak good english it gets annoying repeating my order five times but other than that good service

terrible website. try clicking on a pizza to see the ingredients and then it takes you directly to the order page. never telling you what you are ordering. call the store directly and they’ll happily tell you the site is user friendly… w r o n g.

so my order will be a mystery to me. how can a national chain not be focused on the consumer; i’m supposed to order by a photo of a pizza?

I know this sounds completely crazy, but this location makes (among) the best pizza I’ve ever had from Domino’s. Amir, you are my hero. Thank you for making my pizza so amazing every single time! You can’t beat the two for $ 5.99 deal. I know, I know, we live in New York City … all the more reason to order a quality meal at an affordable price! Save your money for rent. Or a Metro card.

Why did I order from here? Seemingly surrounded by the best pizza this country has to offer, why would I order from Domino’s?
Honestly, for late-​night Morningside Heights pizza options, Domino’s is convenient, fast, cheap, and (kill me now) tasty. It’s no Sal & Carmine’s, but I’d proudly order out from here any late-​night should the need arise.
The only real downside to ordering here is the embarrassment from everyone who will see you scarfing down their slices.

I can’t stop eating this pizza, even though I live in NYC, the pizza capital of the world. I probably order from here once a week. The $ 5.99 special (order 2 items minimum) gets me every time. Lately my delivery times have been quite speedy as well.

Horrible service. They wouldn’t let me pick my pizza which was $ 32. They couldn’t add extra BattleToads. I would not recommend this location.

Really like the sandwich here. The bread is crispy and soft inside. Chicken wings and nuggets are also very fresh. Besides, the online ordering system is fantastic!

5 stars for the newly hired delivery guys who are very nice and actually deserve their tip! Unlike the horrendous, disgusting, piece of sh*t excuse for a human who is now (and I say this with the biggest smile on my face) FIRED! I had nothing but the worst experiences with that monster on multiple occasions, for which that a-​hole gets negative stars!
I mean, one day, while at a friend’s apartment who lived on the 5^th floor of a 5 floor walk up, (yeah sucks, but hey that’s why we got delivery in the first place) I placed an order and when he finally arrived, he called and told me to come downstairs to pick up the pizza. I explained to him that I wouldn’t do that because if I was gonna go downstairs, I could’ve simply went outside and got carry out. He proceeded to yell and eventually hung up on me. I immediately called the store and complained and the very nice manager calmly expressed his own annoyance with this particular delivery guy and how OTHER people have complained about him too! Eventually, I called the delivery guy back and after tons of arguing and telling the idiot that no one was coming downstairs so he can just carry the pizza back to the store (which would make HIM look bad, not me) he decided to troop it out and deliver the pizza.
Might I also add that I had already paid by debit card, which aggravated me more because it made me feel that Dominos didn’t care about providing the best service after getting my money already, — but I quickly came to the realization that Dominos was not at fault here, it was this delivery person. But even having paid for the pie already, it wasn’t worth it to me to continue to deal with the BS, yes! That’s how bad it was!
And to end this beautiful story, he gave me the receipt to sign, but before I could do that, I made sure to write (on the line reserved for the tip) in big, block, capital, letters: ZERO! And I underlined that muthaf***ka so hard I almost ripped the paper with the pen, lulz. Grabbed my boxes and slammed the door straight in his face. Don’t test me.
Even though I hate seeing people lose their jobs, I’d like to think I had a little something to do with him getting fired, and yup, I’m sure as hell proud of it. Especially because this is the Dominos I always order from and I wouldn’t want to waste my money on such disgusting service. Not to mention there are plenty of people who would want his job and would be a million times better at it.

I am so angry at this place right now. I was on the treadmill at work thinking to myself, If I can get 4 miles in I am going to reward myself with a Dominos thin crust pizza with hamburgers, onions and bacon. YEP I had it all figured out. I was serious. I ran my 4 miles and rushed home to get my pizza. Once I got to 96^th street I called in because I had heard some advertisement about it being really cheap if you pick it up. I said to the young man answering the phone, I would like to make a pick up order. The young man took my order asking me several times to repeat my order and then said it will be ready in 30 minutes. Wait 10 minutes. I said which is it 30 or 10? He said its 10 since you are picking it up. I said OK see you in ten minutes. When I got there he said your order is 17 dollars. I said, wait I thought it was cheaper if you picked it up. He said you ordered a medium the special is for a large and you have 5 toppings.
First of all, why didn’t you tell me that the special is only for larges and why do I have 5 toppings. He said you have the cheeseburger with extra cheese and onions and bacon. I said I never asked for the cheeseburger I said I wanted hamburger and onions and bacon. I don’t want cheese. Then some other dude came over and said you dont want cheese? I said does the pizza normally come with cheese? He said yes. I said I do not want to pay for extra cheese. He said did you change your order? I said no please talk to the young man standing next to you. I ordered Hamburger, Onions and bacon. The young man said he made a mistake. The man turns to me and says, what is your order? At that point I had had it. This place is awful. They dont listen. They dont care that they dont listen. I said I dont want anything. I am done. The second dude said, I’m just trying to help you. HOW, you aren’t listening either? I have told the two of you 8 times that I want hamburger, onions and bacon. So I left. Feeling bad I thought I would call and talk to the manager. I wanted to have an adult conversation with somebody. Of course they took forever to put him on the phone. HE WAS WORSE! He said his name was Gabriel. I said Gabriel nobody seems to care about anything there. HE got angry at me and told I should call corporate and that he was hanging up.
Gabriel I can see exactly why this place is awful. Nobody cares. WOW. I ran 4 miles for nothing. SO disappointed.

Ladie who took my order was nice and understanding. But the delivery guy went 20 blocks away from my house and never showed up. Never got my food or nothing. Pissed off

All I read are bad reviews for Dominos. Granted they’re not better than mom & pops pizza where I can buy by the slice BUT this Dominos is great. I always get delivery & they never take long. Pizza is always hot & delicious. & the people on the phone are professional.

I’ve always hated this Dominos because they don’t take almost all Dominos coupons, but now I REALLY hate them… introducing the $ 1.50 delivery charge.
With so many better pizza options in the ‘hood that deliver for free, I guess I won’t be ordering from Dominos again until I move below 100^th st. (the cutoff for this store.)
Also, they’ve completely borked their online account system. It doesn’t save past orders anymore and you can’t delete old locations.

Yay for quick and dirty Dominoes. Well, it’s not really dirty. There is a plastic barrier between you and the kitchen and staff. Kind of weird. But our pizza was ready in 15 minutes, and the breadsticks are just as good as they were when I was 10.

Really the only reason I’m writing a review of a place like this is to enlighten the Unilocal world that their online tracker really works! I came down with a cold yesterday and my kitteh spent the day getting spayed… neither of us were in a mood to do anything. So, I hopped online and ordered 3 medium one-​topping pizzas (of the 5−5−5 deal variety) and a side order of breadsticks. You can alter your crust type, sauce, cheese, toppings, and how much you want of it.
I was then forwarded to a page where it told me «Elvis» had just started making my order. I received updates every couple of minutes as to what Elvis was up to at that time. I watched the little progress bar move from left to right until… DING DONG! Or in my building’s case: BZZZZZZTTT + static. Pizza’s here!
It was typical Domino’s fare. But tasted better somehow. For a whopping $ 25. And I now have two full boxes of leftovers. Win!
