First of all, their services are overpriced. The woman was unfriendly and did a poor job on my French manicure. The polish was not of good quality and I have air bubbles all over my nails. Also, the lines on my French manicure were too straight. I am not impressed at all with my experience here considering my nails were also handled with rough care. I do not plan on returning.

I always receive friendly, attentive service when I go here and the back massages are always amazing. Some of my girlfriends have complained that they don’t paint the entire edge of the nail, but I have personally never had that experience. I will continue to get my regular manicures here.

Passed this place on my way home on a Friday and decided to go in to get a shellac manicure. First thing I noticed was that the uv lamp had a light bulb dangling down so it was hard to even get your fingers in there without messing up the polish. The light bulb also wasn’t working so I was wondering if the lamp was still curing the nails correctly? The nail technician was friendly but not necessarily welcoming so I felt as if I was interrupting her break. This also showed in the way she was applying the nail polish — super fast and not at all paying attention to the edges of my nails. I picked a pretty light color so I was afraid my nail would still show. It wouldn’t have if she had done a better job, I realized. I could see the streaks and the overall look of the paint job was just sloppy. On top of that the polish on my index finger started coming off after just one day. I wasn’t even able to go back and have them fix it because I was out of town that weekend. I had to take of the polish after just four days. Usually a regular manicure lasts me longer than that. Overall I was very disappointed with the manicure and would not recommend getting any type of manicure there.

I had a very good experience here. Two minor issues were that the technician got angry at me for having stiff fingers(I have arthritis). And the shop has a limited, pitiful assortment of gel colors. I have a dilemma, go to a local«ghetto» shop for the variety or keep patronizing this shop for its technical skill. The fill in was flawless. About the technician, well, these people aren’t UN diplomats so, there you go. She also tried to press me for my ethnicity but I said I was from Queens and then pressed her back. This ended that. No, she wasn’t trying to be chatty or friendly … I figured that what matters in this type of situation is that I walked in with a purse full of money, not that I’m(insert any nationality here). I’m a little taken aback that the affluent upper east siders haven’t demanded more options in nail color or design. Is this being classy, boring, or uninformed? Also, I wonder if the shop is violating DOH regulations by allowing patrons to bring in their dogs.

The service is great, the ladies are very welcoming Also although it’s a bit on the pricey end, there’s no wait time and u can usually be serviced immediately Also the salon is very big and spacious It’s nice to step in a spacious salon in Manhattan and rlly relax as i get my nails done

I come here weekly. My manicurist herself is a very sweet, kind and friendly girl. However, last few times(3 – 4) my gel manicure chips literally after about a week. I don’t particularly even work a lot with my hands and everywhere else my gel lasts at least a couple weeks. I thought it was an anomaly but my last manicure I got before New Year’s(45 $ — 35 $ for basic + 5 $ for each of the two ring finger glitter nails) chipped on January 4th. Overall very sweet place conveniently located but I would only maybe come for regular mani or pedi, not gel.

I rarely write bad reviews and certainly not unless I am confident that the incident is symbolic of their normal business experience. This is one nail spa that I am confident is terrible. I had been here six months ago or so and had a bad experience. Frankly, I went back last night only because the place I wanted was closed; unfortunately; the mani/pedi was even worse this time. Issues included: — over-cutting my cuticles despite my request not to do so(the cuticles are now sore) — air-bubbles in the applied nail polish — cutting toe nails to the point I am afraid I will have ingrown nails — bumpy gel manicure(I wish I was kidding, I’ve never seen such a thing before) with no shine, also soaked cuticles — almost no massage on hand or feet — overall unfriendliness, roughness and negligence I am upset that I spent more than $ 70 on the worst imaginable, slipshod mani/pedi, that not only does it look amateurish but was also painful. Please, please, please learn from my misery and stay far away.

I went to Diva on a Friday afternoon to get a manicure and was helped right away. The woman I had was unfriendly and rough. Her tools looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Worst part of my experience was when a cockroach(!!! Ew!!) ran over my foot. Needless to say, I walked out(mid-manicure), and will never EVER go back!

Being my bday weekend, my boyfriend MADE me get a French mani and pedi. I wouldve just gone for a regular solid color-as frenchies don’t last long! But he was trying to be all extra fancy cause he bought me a dress and some shoes to wear to a secret location! Im in a rush because apparently his plans for me are more important than my enjoyment on my bday! Anyway, I digress in a major way! I saw a multitude of polish colors and was able to be serviced right away. I was a little shocked! My grandma warned me about glitter and gold and all that jazz! How she was never wrong! The mani and pedi is $ 42. Wow! Then to boot, another $ 5 for frenchie. Why go here when you can pay $ 25 a few blocks away with working pedicure chairs? Makes no sense. Not my greenbacks so I said«meh what the hell?» The woman doing my mani and pedi acted like she was scared to put some back into it lol. She hardly clipped my cuticles or pumiced my feet. I was really disgusted! She didnt get a tip! I know I havent had a pedicure in about a month(lol) but DANG! Really?! Needless to say I will never be coming back. Next time I get the money I’m taking $ 25 to a much better nail salon and pocketing the rest!

I’ve been here twice. The first time I was in the neighborhood and the place I wanted to go to was closed. Diva is open until 9pm on weekdays. I loved it – they had a great color selection. But the reason I came back the second time(I came all the way uptown expressly to go here) was because the nail shape that they give is the best that I’ve ever gotten, and that’s with two different manicurists. It’s not like a literal square like you get at some places – it’s really a natural-looking, rounded square that I can’t seem to get across to the manicurists at other salons. The whole place just seems really clean and nice, there’s a nice big TV with closed-captioning on, and then another TV by the fans with trivia and word puzzles flashing up on it while you dry. I haven’t gotten a pedicure yet but the chairs look really great, so that’ll be my next trip. My only disappointment is that they don’t do as much trimming with the cuticle scissors as I like. That award still rests with Oasis in Chelsea.

The women that work there are really nice. Some of them are better than others at what they do, but overall, a good neighborhood standby(although not the least expensive standby). Always clean and ready to go!

They have really good pricing for waxing and the women working there are so nice. an enjoyable experience in an upscale salon for not-so-upscale pricing. They do nails really well also, although the pedis are a little expensive, its soooo worth it!
