This listing should be repurposed as their various popups, so this is for their Urbanspace Union Square kiosk, which dished up a solid but far from great Brisket Sandwich $ 8.00.

Went to the spot on the highline and it wasn’t there at all(and I was there during the hours it is supposed to be open). Is this place gone?

Accidentally posted review for wrong location but Unilocal on iPad wont let me delete it. Ack. I have only eaten here once but the food was exceptionally good! So this review is preliminary but enthusiastic. I had the smoked turkey and its the best turkey ever in my life. Tender, almost like butter with a well balanced smokey flavor. Not too salty, maybe just a hint of salt. The other dishes looked amazing — can’t wait to return and try brisket and ribs. Service is low key and friendly. Seek this place out if you are the vicinity.

I’m sorry I know I’m biased, but this not good BBQ. What blows my mind is that this looks like good BBQ, smoke ring, crunchy crust, fat layer– all of the right components are here. Why doesn’t it taste good? I’m a Pol from central Texas– I grew up on this«style» of BBQ. I smoke my own on occasion. I order from home for big parties. My first trip to Delaneys– I asked for the burnt ends of the brisket– blank stare & a diatribe about the style of BBQ they serve. I can walk into any BBQ joint in Lockhart and ask for burnt ends and get the smokey crusty burnt pieces at the end of a slab. This guys claims to have spent«time & to have learned to smoke» in Lockhart but mysteriously has no idea what I mean. The next and last trip to the Williamsburg location I got it to go. I have never tasted brisket without any flavor until now. I had to add my own sauce to give it any flavor at all, thank god my dad sent me some from home. Please stop claiming to be Texas BBQ– it’s a little embarrassing. I give you two stars for your greens, but mostly because you have TopoChico.

I was wandering down the Highline, lugging my baggage like the tourist I was and getting hungrier and hungrier by the second. Luckily, I bumped into Delaney Barbecue, a little cart that offers different boxes of takeout barbecue. Tip #1: A small cart, actually located on the Highline. Tip #2: They take card as well as cash! Tip #3: With tables nearby and benches lining the Highline, there’s plenty of space to eat. Overall: The food was a little bit salty for my taste, but still delicious. I’m glad I bumped into this place!

I had a chance to eat at Delaneys at the Blues BBQ Festival. It’s pretty nice to be at the pier, listening to jazz and just the right mood for bbq. We tried two sandwiches: Pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich. Both were really good and had nice smoky flavor. The meat was tender and you could tell that it had been cooked low and slow… The brisket was a little more flavorful… it had that beautiful crust on the outside… so love the crust.

Let me just say this, it was not just the food that was to die for… but it was the customer service that earned my loyalty! My girlfriend encouraged to subscribe to Daleny’s for my birthday in June. In doing so, on your birthday you can get free birthday meat! On my birthday, she and I drove all the way from Queens to Delaney’s and unfortunately it was closed and we were SOOOODISAPPOINTED! However, the next day we looked at the website and it turned out Delaney’s was closed due to the BBQ festival and decided to give their workers the week off and that week off happened to fall on my birthday! However I still saved my Birthday Meat ticket on my phone. On my girlfriend’s birthday in July, we decided to go Delaney’s again. This time they were open. We spoke to the manager of the place and asked if they would still honor my birthday meat ticket knowing that my birthday fell on the day the place was close! The manager honored both my tickets! I COULDN’T BELIEVEITAND I WASEXTREMELYHUMBLED!!! After we left, I looked at my girl and said: «They have a loyal customer after honoring my ticket» Seriously, we literally paid for only potato salad(that too was so good as well) GOCHECKITOUT!!!

The pulled pork was really good. And the area is beautiful.. right on the highline. Perfect for a place to take your date to. The potato salad I would not recommend. I took 2 bites and didn’t even finished it. But overall two thumbs up :) definitely going back.

I had the pulled pork sandwhich with coleslaw, pickled red onion. The buns were toasted, crunchy and soft. The pork is really nice, moist very flavorful, and it goes very well with the hot sauce. Coleslaw can be better. need lots of salt and spices. other than that, food is pretty tasty!

I had the pulled pork sandwich and I loved it. I enjoyed the moist meat and the toasted bread with the red onions. The service was also great. I had to wait to get the pulled pork. I am so glad I waited because it was worth it. I tried my friends potato salad it was okay the potatoes were red potatoes and were cut quite large for my liking. The taste of the potatoe salad was good the right amount of ingredients. My friend had the brisket and it was I thought okay it had a smokey taste. I would definitely be back for the pulled pork.

Loved it! Easy, fast, and delicious. Was on a walk on the High Line and this little joint offered BBQ goodness and that is what I went for. I got a plate with beef brisket, coleslaw and gazpacho. Everything was so good. The brisket was nicely pulled and flavorful, juicy and abundant. The coleslaw was the first of its kind I have ever tried and I will have to recreate it at home because it was so fresh, yummy and innovative! The red cabbage was shredded and spiced up with mayo, like any regular slaw, but they also added mint. The mint gave such a fresh tang to the slaw, it was easy, awesome, and different. Finally, the gazpacho was very refreshing, the flavors were great, I loved the creamy hedge they gave to it. Overall, for $ 9 you get a very tasty and hearthy meal that will keep you full for hours and that will make you wanna return to the High Line!

Do you know what I love? Springtime in NYC. Everything just seems fresh and new. The Highline is jam packed with foreign tourists, taking pictures and merrily strolling along. While I’m skipping along, I said: WTF is that smell? It smells like BBQ?! Sure enough, there is a long line waiting for the Delaney Barbecue on the highline. Trust me, I’m waiting on this line for«The Deckle» Smoked brisket sammy. Mmmm. I dig these places that open a small stand to get the name out there. Daisy Maes had one of the first stands, Rock on Delaney! So here I am, at the tourist filled Highline eating a huge BBQ Sammy with sauce all over my face and hands. I look like Hannibal Lecter eating porky pig between bread slices in front of them. Best BBQ Sammy ever!

One of the few BBQ spots that will fulfill any craving you have, and then some. Battling tourists on the Highline is the only downside, but still beats a trek to Williamsburg. They offer your choice of 3 sandwiches or a platter with potato salad. The Deckle, with smoked brisket has a rich smokey flavor perfectly complimented by the light pickles on top. The Mess combines chopped brisket, pulled rib meat, red onion relish and a sweet chili sauce. They offer a third sandwich, the Sir Oink, which sadly was not available(suspicions due to a hungover employee forgetting the ingredients) but has pulled pork and avocado. Great sandwiches at a great price, definitely worth a visit.

Now you can enjoy Delaney’s brisket with tourists on the Highline instead of hipsters in Williamsburg. Neither one of those is ideal, but it’s worth it for this excellent meat. You have your choice of 3 sandwiches here, each of which is $ 10. They also have a brisket platter with potato salad for $ 12. On this first visit, I tried The Mess sandwich, which consists of chopped brisket, pulled rib meat, onion relish and chili sauce. The menu says it also has fried cheese, but annoyingly there was no such cheese on my sandwich. I think that would have justified its name, since it wasn’t all that messy, but it was really tasty. The meat isn’t too fatty, which I think is a very good thing, and it still happened to be very juicy and moist. The chili sauce gave it a bit of heat which was offset nicely by the refreshing relish. This is definitely a solid choice and while expensive at $ 10, it was pretty satisfying. I definitely need to come back to try the other two sandwiches: The Deckle, which has smoked brisket, and the Sr. Oink, which has pulled pork and avocado. Now that his original Briskettown location in Williamsburg has a new menu and table service though, I might need to venture over there too for more of this great BBQ.

Got the brisket platter. Too salty, not tender enough. Served with a piece of white sandwich bread(not corn bread), raw onions, potato salad, and pickles. Eatable. Good if really hungry. Otherwise, pass.

We ordered the Deckle and the Brisket. Omg. Whaatttt. Both SO dry. Tastes great except when you get to the point where your tastebuds dry out. Couldn’t even eat it all because it was too much of a chore to finish. The only good thing about this place is the price. It would’ve been awful if it costed $ 20 a plate.

Yes it is as good as they say! I’ve been here since the first week they opened and every experience was excellent! I’ve had The Deckle(my favorite!) and The Mess sandwiches. I will be back to try their platters. Their smoked brisket is super yummy and yes it is good as they say! My mouth savors and yearns for their smoked brisket — slightly burnt and crispy edges while still so tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Previously, they gave smaller portions and charged less. Now the portions are perfect! They nailed it indeed! It’s worth the extra bucks!

How could you not like their brisket? its so juicy, tender and tasty. No sauce, all juice. Their ribs are pretty good too, but the brisket is where it is at. But be aware, the portions aren’t big, so it is definitely quality, over quantity.

For 13 dollars I received a tiny plate of brisket and a scoop of potato salad. I was still very hungry and this was pretty expensive, especially for not being a brick and mortal location. After eating this tiny portion, I had to go somewhere else for even more food which was ridiculous. People are commenting about the pickles? I received like 4 thin slices of pickles with my food, big deal. I would not come back. Also I know it is the restaurants«thing» but not having the option of having bbq sauce is annoying.

So… If you’re on the Highline and craving something amazing to eat, ignore all the other food stands and scout out Delaney Smokeline and order their Deckle Sandwich. This is the only BBQ sandwich I’ve ever eaten that was served without sauce. Simply put, this perfectly portioned sandwich doesn’t need any sauce! Clearly it must have been sprinkled with crack dust because how else could a juicy, tender, and smoky-flavored cut of meat served on a toasted bun topped only with some onions and pickles taste so good? I’m definitely a fan and see myself visiting this stand frequently over the summer. I also look forward to checking out their main restaurant in Williamsburg, too.
