Went for the first time today — delicious! Solid falafel bowl spot with quick service. I ordered the Acropolis bowl, a classic Greek salad with hummus, falafel and pita bread. The bread was nice and warm. The falafel was light and crisp. Feeling nice and full after lunch! Although service is fast and efficient, customer service could’ve been a bit warmer. Cashier wasn’t very willing to help me figure out the menu.

Awful. That is all. But Unilocal wants me to write more. Don’t come here if you’re hungry. You’ll wait forever. It’s not that good either. You’re better off at the local food truck.

This place was the best!!! Great prices, delicious food, and quality service. The guy taking our order was super nice and gave us his recommendations since we are from out of town. No bathroom but I needed to wash my hands so he just let me behind the counter to use the small sink. The food was amazing! Ordered the chicken and lamb pita with falafel, very tasty! My husband for the burger and waffle fries, everything was very tasty. A+++++ all around!

I would recommend Crisp to ANYONE who loves delicious Mediterranean food! I hosted an event for 120 people at my office and worked with Alon to ensure that my guests would be happy and full when leaving. Little did I know how amazing the whole experience would be– delivery was prompt and supplied enough food to make me confident we would not be running out! Attendees were extremely pleased with the Falafel, Shwarma and fixing buffet and I will definitely be ordering again! If I could give a 10 for overall experience, food and AMAZING customer service… I would!

Crisp, you are the best! As a vegetarian I am literally overwhelmed by the sheer number of delicious choices on your menu — and that’s not common esp at lunchtime in midtown. Your ingredients are fresh or freshly made, your packaging is ingenious AND eco-friendly and I can quickly(because your staff is lightening fast) grab lunch in 10 minutes for 10 bucks or less. What’s not to love? Supporting local businesses is near and dear to my heart and you certainly make this choice a pleasure. Thanks for being you, and keep up the good work! I’ll be back again and again… Recommendations: My favorites are the hummus bowls with falafel and fresh pita, black bean burgers, and of course the fresh nan wraps — try the ‘African’ with sweet potato and spicy peanut sauce

Really great service! The man working at front knew what I needed before I even asked(a napkin, but maybe it was just obvious because I’m a messy eater)

I usually go to Maoz for my salad bowls, but since my boyfriend isn’t the biggest fan of that spot we decided to check out Crisp instead. While a bit far from his office, we still arrived before the lunch rush. Which was a good thing, considering there was a line three people wide all the way to the door by the time we left. He ordered a crispy chicken burger with waffle fries and I got a hummus & greens Israeli salad bowl with shawarma. They have to-go and to-stay options. We had managed to get two of the few seats in the joint, and while the environment was a tad loud, it was better than braving the cold and trying to eat our food somewhere else. Firstly, my salad bowl. I do regret ordering hummus and greens. A rice and greens bowl probably would’ve been more up my alley. While the hummus was tasty, it far overpowered my veggies not only in flavor but also in size. It made the texture of the bowl a bit boring, and while I enjoyed the taste of everything, it was just soft on soft on soft. Although I did appreciate the piping hot pita that accompanied my dish, I wound up unable to finish all of it and had half the order leftover. My boyfriend said his chicken was surprisingly tasty, with a great crunch and lots of flavor. Kind of surprising for a place that seemed to be pushing out a lot more hummus than burgers. I do recommend Crisp whether or not you’re into healthy food. It’s tasty, it’s cheap, and it’s creative. Just don’t go during the lunch rush.

My favorite lunch spot in midtown/Times Square. The service is very fast, do not be chased away by the long lines. The food is amazing, great portions for a small price.

Love this place — super close to my office, so very convenient to pick up for lunch. Long lines and probably confusing if you’re going for the first time. When you walk in, there’s a line to your right where you place your order. Then you walk back out to line up on the left to wait for your order. Everything is made to order, so you get everything fresh :) I love watching the lady in the back making the falafels… she’s like a machine back there!!! I used to get their regular flatbread creations, but I found that to be too difficult to eat(aka everything falls out and you make a mess everywhere). Now I just get the bowl, which is the same thing but deconstructed in a sense, I guess! When you get a bowl, the menu can be somewhat confusing, but 1) pick your base(can be rice, hummus, greens, or all 3!), 2) pick your main topping(usually the same as the flatbread creations), and 3) pick your premium toppings. The steak/salmon items are really worth it at only +$ 2.75, and they cook it to perfection. Ask for medium rare on the steak!!! My favorite is the Africa — Habanero peanut sauce, ginger corn salad, sweet potato chips and greens. Lovely sweet peanut-y flavors that tastes healthy yet decadent. Falafels are always included in the price of the bowl, and are always crispy on the outside and warm/fluffy on the inside! Great healthy and yummy lunch spot in midtown!

I love this place for lunch. Great value big portions and tasty and fresh. Plus it doesn’t feel awful for me. I’ve tried two of the rice bowls so far and will definitely keep coming back. Also the nutella cookies are yum!

This place is right near Bryant Park and is a convenient spot to pick up something quick after work(I get out of work after 6pm and it’s never crowded then). It’s also across from the Bryant park subway entrance which is really nice. The staff is friendly and very helpful and your food is ready fairly quickly. During the lunch hours when the store gets packed everything still moves along quickly and efficiently(there’s a line to order and a pickup line in the chaotic lunch rush) Their menu has changed a bit since I first started coming to crisp but there are a few things that have been around for as long as I remember. The crisp rewards card is nice and for when I was going here more frequently with my girlfriend we were able to get points toward a free sandwich or something. The prices aren’t the cheapest but compared with a lot of stuff in midtown it’s far from being the most expensive and in terms of quality and portion size I would say it’s pretty good value (I feel like prices may have risen slightly since I first started going there a few years ago but they’ve also added a lot of new things since) Here are the things I’ve tried: The BEST is the Africa falafel sandwich. I get this on whole wheat pita and it has pieces of sweet potato, corn, tomato, delicious peanut sauce(sometimes I get extra) and a damn good falafel. It’s fresh, flavorful and filling. This is hands down my favorite item on the menu(my girlfriend loves it too and it’s all she gets) Be prepared for the bits of corn that spill over because they do pack it quite generously. Out of all of the falafel sandwiches I’ve tried the Africa is the best one. I’ve also had the mexican and moroccan and they’re both flavorful and delicious but nothing beats that peanut sauce of the Africa(though the moroccan’s pom reduction is quite good). Basically all of the falafel sandwiches I’ve tried are flavorful and packed full of good stuff and never dry(like some places a block or so west of crisp) The BBQ burger — something that’s changed since I first started getting it. At first it had crispy onions, blue cheese, pickles and bbq sauce and it had what I think was a soy based meat substitute that was delicious and excellent in terms of texture. Since they added new protein options I’ve always gone with the crispy chicken(it’s got a nice crisp on the outside and is still juicy on the inside) The Backyard Burger– I remember getting this with a black bean patty and it was one of my favorite veggie burgers. The patty held together nicely and had great texture and flavor. Since they added meat options I’ve had it with a beef patty. Quite a good burger with a little bit of spice and a juicy patty. The first time I had the beef patty I did not like it. The texture and taste just didn’t feel right to me(there was a firmness that it lacked) but since then I’ve had the beef patty numerous times and it has been great. It’s juicy, flavorful with nice consistency(the first time must have been an aberration). The Heartlander — I rate this one similarly to the backyard burger. To me they’re both fairly similar in terms of taste with this one being more tangy. Quite a good burger. Tikka bowl — the curry mango coconut sauce is delicious I wish there was more. It’s sweet and savory and works really well with rice, veggies and hummus and each bite is flavorful. The portion is quite generous. I combined some raw onion I chopped up at home into this bowl and it worked really well with all of the flavors(since i’m not a big fan of bell pepper) Waffle fries– they’re waffle fries and they’re delicious. Around midtown I can find steak fries, curly fries, regular fries but this is one of the few spots I’ve come across that has waffle fries. It comes with a spicy mayo sauce that’s pretty good. Mint and Lime Lemonade– it’s delicious but really sweet. What I like to do is to first drink some of it and then add water to it to dilute it. I’m able to get more out of one cup of this stuff and makes the sweetness a lot more subtle while still getting that refreshing mint and lime flavor. They also carry jarritos which is nice. —- Crisp is awesome, fresh and flavorful. In the evenings it’s never packed and I get my food to go pretty quickly and I love that they have a mint tray. The price is also quite good for the quality of fast food it offers in midtown(where there’s a lot of overpriced garbage) The Africa falafel sandwich is something everyone should try because the peanut sauce is so damn good and the falafels are some of my favorite in midtown. There’s a lot I still need to try(the indo-asia looks promising) but the flavors I’ve had so far have been delicious and fresh.

LUNCHDELIVERYREVIEW. Loved Crisp. Was looking for a moderately healthy and efficient lunch delivery option for a group of seven people. Easy online ordering system. Asked them to label each order by name and they did so by placing everything in individual bags and labeling those. Everything was really delicious. Great falafel. Awesome naan. Love that they are vegetarian friendly! In addition to the falafel, you could get mock veggie meat as your protein selection. Highly recommend!

It is difficult to understand the Israeli obsession with hummus. Not supermarket hummus, but real middle Easter pasty, yummy hummus. No extra flavor or color. Plain good hummus. Israelis search for it and ‘almost good’ is just not good enough. I am happy to say that Crisp delivered a knockout. I will be back, and often. Thank you!

One of the best options in the food desert that is Midtown West. It’s more of a grab and go type of place even if there is seating. It’s perfect for anyone that works in the area. Here’s a highlight reel: 1. DAMN good falafel. Probably the best option in this part of Manhattan. 2. HUGE portions. It’s easy to slip into a food coma. 3. That lunch rush is real. Go either at 11:30am or 1:15pm. Then you can avoid the lines. 4. Try all the flavors. Each thing is really unique so I recommend branching out. 5. Catering can take forever. If you’re doing an office order, be prepared to wait. One note: I’m not a huge fan of the pita. It’s a texture thing. I’m really here for the combinations of falafel.

Today, I went to Bryant Park for the Back to the Future film festival. I got there at 6 pm and was about to go crazy when I found out the film was actually starting at 8 pm. I was craving food and so I decided to go on a food hunting adventure with three friends while the rest of the group remained.(The rest of them brought food and I didn’t get the memo) I was delighted to find this place on Unilocal. It’s located about a block away from Bryant Park. I was happy with the look of the place, the simplicity, the great customer service and the phenomenal food. I ordered the mushroom bowl, which consisted of grilled portabellas, grilled onions & olive oil, with hummus, rice and chicken & lamb shawarma. All of this added up to only around $ 11. The prices listed are very reasonable. I’ve never tasted anything as filling and different as this before; absolutely orgasmic. Would I recommend this place? Definitely. Would I come back again? Yes, next time I come, I’m dragging my squads here to try this amazing Mediterranean food even if they have no legs or arms.

Amazing, I’m just absolutely mind-blown by the falafel wrap at Crisp! The falafel is crisp on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside. The best part however is the wrap bread, which is more of a freshly made naan that is extra stretchy and delicious. I tried both the«Authentic» and the«Moroccan» wrap and both were just amazing, but I prefer the«Authentic». The freshly made limeade with basil is a bit on the sweet side for me, but that’s probably a personal preference. Please come to Toronto! This would make a fantastic late-night eats place in Toronto.

It would have been nice to find Crisp sooner! It’s a great spot to grab a quick lunch during the hour break we usually get during the work day. There seems to be a variety of options to choose from, all sounding relatively healthy. I chose to get a Baja bowl with rice and falafels as my first meal from here, and am pleased to say that I was not disappointed. The spices and flavors were certainly there, and the falafels were not dry and tasteless, like they can be often from different places. One small detail though is that they should be a little bit more careful when rinsing the lentils. My friend got a sizable pebble in her bowl, which could have ruined her meal. Other than that, I did enjoy my lunch from here, and would probably become a regular.

Every month my boss treats the team to lunch. This month’s meal came from Crisp, as per his request. We ordered delivery from Seamless and they came early, which was great because we were hungry! I had the«authentic» falafel on a whole wheat pita. Great! Though the falafel balls were only lukewarm by the time our order arrived and we all sat down to eat. The pita is made in-house and its so fluffy. They PACK it with all the fixins too! I think they managed to stuff five falafel balls in there. FIVE! We got extra sides of hummus as well as waffle fries. The hummus was good but the waffle fries were nothing special. We ate at 12:30pm and I didn’t even feel hungry again until around 7pm, so I guess it’s safe to say I felt fa-la-FULL!
