Short Spanish girl in the front is extremely rude and unprofessional. You can tell she is miserable at her job. Theres been more then one occasion where i have had to bite my tongue. She honestly makes me not want to return. She is EXTREMELY rude!

I went in with high hopes and was extremely disappointed. The front desk girl is COMPLETELYANDUTTERLYMISERABLE. I understand being pregnant isn’t fun but maybe she should stay home then. A lot of other people would appreciate the job if she doesn’t want it. Food was actually pretty good but with that kind of customer service I Will not be returning.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. It’s located in a part of Manhattan that does not have many options beyond deli fare, so this selection was a welcome addition. However, my experience here has been less than stellar. When I placed my order for a Salmon Crêpe, it took several tries to communicate what I wanted with the server. On top of that, she had to take the menu from me to determine what should go inside. This ultimately resulted in an incorrect order: instead of frying an egg to put on top, she took hard boiled eggs from the salad station and put it in my crêpe. Definitely not what I ordered! On top of that, this whole process took way too long to complete. It seemed like there were several employees milling about, but only one person doing the work. I also noticed a large puddle in the middle of the room that had not even been attended to yet. I really want this restaurant to succeed. I think it’s heart is in the right place. They need to have better management and employee training to make this work.

I don’t have a lot of hope for this place, it’s sort of a mess and no one seems to care. Many of the salad items were not available, such as only one green(spinach) and only one protein(chicken). The salad person didn’t have a clean bowl to mix my salad so he used the plastic to-go bowl and stacked everything in there without mixing it. That doesn’t work people, believe me. If I were a betting man and this place doesn’t shape up, I’d say you will be seeing a vacate sign on the door by the fall.

This is the second time I(attempted) to order from here since it’s opened. The first time was about a month and a half ago, where I tried to get a quick coffee on my way to work and no one was at the register. There was a person mopping — she was the only person in there at 10am, and said she would be with me in 5 minutes. Since I needed a QUICK coffee, I couldn’t afford to wait 5 minutes for a pour your own coffee. YES, 5 minutes to get a cup to pour your own! I said thanks and left. Fast forward to today. I ordered the Lox Bagel Eggs with Arugula platter, and specified an Everything bagel. This took a good minute to get communicated from the guy I ordered with to the guy who would make it. He made it, put it in two separate containers(not sure why), and with a toasted plain bagel. I asked him if it was an everything bagel and he gave me a look like I had three heads. I had to ask a couple of other people to clarify, and they told me they didn’t have that. I think the guy thought I meant a bagel with everything perhaps? Not sure. I was frustrated at that point because I had waited about 10 minutes and just wanted to go. They then moved my food to the cashier(I already paid) who had to pack it, and that took another 5 minutes because she was busy making a smoothie for another customer. That person never packed my order and the guy who actually made my bagel came to the front and dropped off some balsamic dressing(which I didn’t request, and had nothing to do with my order, maybe he thought the arugula was a salad instead of part of my sandwich). I then asked him if he could get someone to pack my order instead of giving me unnecessary dressing. I really wanted to like this place because this area(where I live) has a deficiency of salad/sandwich/lunch places, but after going there twice within a two-ish month span with no better service, I just can’t. They need to figure out their flow of work and get their staff trained on their menu. The only upside was the price point. The platter was $ 7.25, which was very affordable for a lox meal. One last thing as I’m finishing this post — I don’t feel too good now. Really hoping the lox was kept at the right temperature. Maybe that was why it was $ 7.25. Bleh.

I order food from here quite a few times. Its a good portion, quick delivery and pretty delicious. I’ve tried mostly the Breakfast items and a few salads.
