I brought my daughter here for the first time last week for her haircut before she begins school. The cut was good, the stylist/barber Julia was kind and friendly. The price is reasonable. Too bad they’re not in my hood. Look forward to coming back.

My son has been coming to this same salon since feb/2012. He was a hairy baby and so we brought him here for his first haircut with Donna when he was 8-months-old. We love the service here. The stylists are patient, creative, and very professional. They normally ask your child to choose a DVD so that they can watch while they are having a haircut. My son had a hair cut with other stylists here as well, who did a great job, but Donna is simple the best! She is amazing and really knows how to take care of my son’s hair without us having to say much. She is pretty busy and so her calendar is a little crazy. We do have to book his haircut way in advance in order to get some time on her calendar.

Nothing makes my feelings about this place more clear than this outro letter from me to the manager @ Cozy’s: It was amazing!!! was just about to check & see if you guys have Unilocal.the girls were absolutely peachy happy, & my daughter had a WONDERFUL time. Now, about your staff: Absolutely fabulous. Nothing but helpful suggestions, gentle hands, gorgeous styling all around. I knew it would be great, when everyone gave me a hug upon walking in. Or maybe I hugged them. Not sure, but it was amazing. Please thank Donna, Cathy, Anastasia & Yasmin again for me. They made my daughter’s 7th birthday one to remember. some of the parental quotes, copied/pasted: «E had a great time. She won’t take her braids out! Thanks for having her!» «m had a blast. i LOVED her hair!!» «It was great! Thank you for hosting such a fun morning for the girls! Hope N had a fabulous birthday!» «What a great party! M didn’t want to let her braids out… what a great time they all had. Thank you so much.» ^^^I’m not making that up. ^^^ But my favorite moment was when yet another parent asked, as we were wrapping it up, whether or not i would mind her doing her daughter’s birthday party there. So my scattered, overbooked soul cannot thank you enough. Your communication skills ace & trump mine, which made the process much simpler. Thanks to you & Kelvin, as well. Kind Regards, Stefanie Kelly — yup. they are that good. i have prolly the worst communication skills on the planet. THEY don’t, though, & will keep getting in touch w/you — to the extent that the owner reached out, thanking me for my letter. & the crazy thing is that i briefly considered doing a cupcake party instead. Alfred kindly reached out to find out if i had changed my mind, or??? i sadly informed him that i was going w/another venue. & in the end it was his gracious wish that we enjoy ourselves still that tipped the whole situation in Cozy’s favor, lol. i dunno. if i keep gushing, i fear Unilocal will assume this is a fake review & flag it… so i’m going to leave it @ this: you want your child to feel welcome, safe & entertained… impressive.

Although the place is small I absolutely loved it. They cleaned the station very well before my son sat down. They made sure we were comfortable at all times. They were very professional greeted us at the door. It was my son’s first haircut and they were very understanding to how emotional it was for us. They explained every move they were making. They also made my son feel comfortable. I loved it ! Also the wonderful lady who cut my son’s hair was Marlena and she did great ! For his first haircut I’m so happy we went there and seen her. I’d definitely go again !!

I have a two year old who despises haircuts. Not only were they able to calm and get him settled, the stylist gave him an amazing haircut. He looks great! We are definitely willing to pay a little extra for a kid’s cut given the great experience. We will definitely be coming back.

We went to Cozy Cuts this past weekend(4÷5÷14). Schlepped all the way from Union Square but it was well worth it for my daughter to get her ears pierced… for her 10th birthday. They were absolutely great considering there were tons of kids running around getting their hair cut. In a way, I think the exciting vibe of little kids was the perfect distraction to get my daughter over her nerves. They were really quick, and it was relatively painless, and totally hygienic. All things as a I mom I really appreciate. Highly recommend.

I have been taking my children here since my five-year-old was one(first at the Madison Avenue location and now at the 2nd Avenue location). My boys always get great haircuts and the salon is super accommodating if you don’t like something about a haircut and you need it fixed. My only complaint is about the other patrons who tend to get pushy and a little testy when they are waiting — but making sure your kids look good is important, so I understand.

I’ve been taking my daughter to get her hair cut at Cozy’s for a couple years now. First, at the old Madison Avenue location and now a the 2nd Avenue location. I’ve always been satisfied with both the cut and the overall experience. Yes, the space is crowded and chock full of toys that will induce a case of the«gimme’s» in your child. On the plus side though, they’ve always given my daughter excellent haircuts, beginning with her very first cut(a very sweet experience — they give you a special certificate, etc.). The stylists are very patient and seem to have a knack for making kids comfortable. As for those who complain it is pricy? Please. In a city where it easily costs $ 100 plus for a decent women’s cut, I’m not going to complain about spending a little to get my kid a good haircut that tames her curly, easy-to-tangle hair a few times a year.

I took my son yesterday for his first hair cut and it was a lot of fun! He got to sit in a toy car and he was mesmerized by the toys and the TV. The woman who cut his hair was very nice and helped me to take photos of the event. He looks very handsome now with his shorter hair just in time for Valentine’s Day. The only downside was it was such a popular place that we couldn’t get an appointment time in advance and we had to go as a walk in, but there was a good system for walk ins and after we signed it we went to lunch and came back. Overall, very happy.

My review for Cozy Cuts will take about as long as a haircut done there. I «walked-in» with twins(meaning no appointment), but was taken in within two minutes, both«big boy» haircuts done(to my liking) in less than fifteen minutes, and we’re back out of the city all in less than half an hour! Fresh! ps. yes, lots of toys to drive your kids wild but if you’re saying that you cannot walk out of there without purchasing all these toys, then you clearly need to introduce your children to the word«no».

I was with my 2 year old niece the other day and watch her mesmerized and enthralled with her experience at cozy’s. I wish there was a cozy’s when I had to take my kids for haircuts. brilliant concept, brilliant haircut, brilliant experience… well done

Was extremely disappointed in how they cut my daughter’s hair. The bangs are way too short. Gonna have to find a new place. :(

$ 16 for a travel size shampoo and de-tangler…no thanks. Walking inside this place I had the impression they had just opened. Boxes everywhere, crap everywhere, and toys thrown all around. I guess there were a few kids packed in the back getting a hair cut. There was almost no space to walk around in the store. Will not be back.
