DELICIOUS food! I had the Loup de Mer which had branzino, clams and quinoa in a red-curry like sauce. So flavorful. I don’t typically like clams but these were really tasty. The food went really well with the glass of Chenin Blanc that I ordered. For dessert, I had a trio of sorbets/ice creams — passion fruit sorbet(among the yummiest things I’ve ever had), coconut milk sorbet(refreshing and delicate), and banana malt ice cream(excellent). Great service and nice ambiance. Highly recommend it if you’re in the neighborhood… and even if you’re not!

This place has a special heart in my bf’s heart because of the burger. We’ve been here about 2 – 3 times, and he absolutely love the TC burger. The Pat Lafrieda patty melts in your mouth and he can’t help but close his eyes after every bite. It’s actually kinda funny. The chips that came with the burger were ok. We also ordered the truffle pizza which was also very good. Worth a try. I love the tap room here because of the décor as well. Very classy place, perfect brunch spot for classy people. I would definitely recommend taking someone from out of town here and walk the high line afterwards or Chelsea market. I’ve set up a few girly brunches here as well and they do have a nice selection of food though limited menu. I would come back and try their dinner menu in the main dining room which looks very romantic as well!

Spectacular! I am so grateful that my brother in laws fiancé recommended this place for dinner, for we truly had an outstanding dining experience. Being a bit of an obvious foodie, along with being in New York with my hubby, his brother and fiancé, who are also somewhat of restaurant connoisseurs; by recommendation from his fiancé Jen, and from doing some extensive research on places to go in the city, we decided this place was worthy of checking out. Also considering the fact that my hubby is a bit of a Tom Colicchio fan, built up some additional anticipation. The restaurant interior wise, is gorgeous alone — beautiful bar area, along with an open spacious, modern classy atmosphere. We had made prior reservations and were seated immediately upon arriving. We were seated in an area providing great views of the overall restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient from the beginning. They have an excellent cocktail and wine selection(pricey of course). And all though they had a creative selection of craft style, artisan cocktails, I decided to start my evening off with a good o’l Dirty Martini. My honey went with a coke, and my fellow companions went with one of the specialty cocktails and a beer. My martini was superb– strong and made perfectly :) The menu options are all appetizer portion. They provide and exceptionally delicious selection of options to choose from. I chose two different dishes: Poached Lobster with Saffron, Black Trumpet Mushrooms & Brussels Sprouts 30 and the Pancetta Wrapped Monkfish with Cockles & Swiss Chard 29. My honey and his brothers fiancé chose a bolognese dish. They also ordered the Beef Tartare with Jicama & Smoked Mayonnaise 20 and some other dishes that I cannot recall. All plates are served in different courses. While waiting, the most fabulously delicious, complimentary pretzel style bread rolls were served, along with some house cider. Now let me tell you, for me to splurge on bread, those suckers better be damn worth it, and let me say, these suckers were. Hands down, the most delicious, golden buttery, soft, perfectly seasoned bread I have ever sunk my teeth into… absolutely yumazing! The cider was also quite good, and especially considering I am not a big cider fan. Our first courses then arrived. Mine was the Poached Lobster. It arrived breathtakingly beautiful, and tasted out of this world fantastic. They must be psychic and know my palate, because this dish was literally seasoned to PERFECTION. There could not had been anything more done, to make this dish any more spectacular. Perfection in a bowl for sure. I tried my hubs bologese that was served broth style, and that too was utterly fantastic. Everyone elses dishes all looked picturesque. Second course then arrived. This was the Pancetta Wrapped Monkfish. Yet again, executed beautifully and tasted precisely sensational. Perfection again. I then ordered a glass of red wine while the others indulged in their 3rd course. Lastly, we were brought the dessert menu. Everything sounded superb, however I was not in the mood for dessert, nor my husband. My brother in law and his Fiancé, did entertain from the menu and ordered some sort of donut like dessert. It looked gorgeous. Overall, wonderful atmosphere, prompt and professional service and most importantly, outstanding food. Until next time :)

WOW — the staff went so above and beyond for my little sister’s birthday dinner. As she is an aspiring chef, we sat in front of the prep station, which is a very unique and well-kept secret that is the highlight of this restaurant. They had printed a special menu with her name on it, and even had a handwritten happy birthday card waiting at her place setting. The dessert was also very thoughtful and elegant. She really felt like a princess. The food here is spectacular. The brisket is simply out of this world. I really like that the chefs are willing to dialogue with you about the different elements of the meal and what goes into the dishes. Obviously they are very busy so I tried not to bother them too much — but they were very gracious about it. The ONLY negative thing I have to say about the meal was that the cab franc was very bad. But I felt too guilty sending it back after the amazing treatment we had received. I later switched to a half bottle of one of my favorite Riojas, and noted that the markup was very reasonable.

Overpriced food and underwhelming. Mr colichio is the authority on top chef so i expected better. Ordered the burger which was cooked well and probably was the highlight of the meal. It was served with potato chips i could get down the street at a convenience store. Sweet potato side were flavorless, and burrata appetizer was bland. The only thing that saved the meal were the cocktails and ambiance of the place. Definitely well designed restaurant but food just not up to bar overall.

Went there for brunch today and started with two cocktails. I had a huge Soda Jerk and my wife had another speciality mixed drink listed on the brunch menu. I think they were both $ 14.00. That is about what cocktails are going for in Manhattan these days. Both drinks were really good. I had the ‘bagels with smoked salmon’ minuscule but not bad. My wife had the smoked brisket sandwich which was also not bad. This place wasn’t great and wast’t bad. The check was about $ 75.00 without tip. The place was just OK and quite frankly, I don’t know if we will return.

After 5 – 6 tries in this tap room for lunch and dinner I should say I was consistently satisfied and there was always a star dish I loved on my way out. The latest was the burger, brisket panini and virgin mojito. Everyone who I brought to this place was all satisfied too. At this time this should be one of the best lunch deal for nyc fine dining scene even though they got rid of the 3 course prix fixe.

A cheetah, a guy on a safari, and a pair of zombies opted for a fine dining double date on Halloween. Somehow, the staff at Colicchio & Sons Tap Room did not mind at all. I highly recommend the zesty roasted cauliflower with broccoli and coconut curry as an appetizer, and the superbly succulent brisket for your entrée, though everything we sampled that night was excellent. The wine list was diverse, and I hear the cocktails are boozy. The restaurant itself was modern and spacious, while still feeling upscale. I would welcome any opportunity to return, and would like to try the main dining room as well.

This restaurant is everything I hoped for from a Colicchio restaurant. The feel is good and warm but big/spacious. The wine list is really good and everything we ordered was delicious. I got the stuffed squid and burrata and both were different than I’ve had elsewhere and really good. Would go back for sure.

I have such a hetero crush on Tom Colicchio, I mean who doesn’t?! So, the disappointment of having brunch here was truly a blow to my heart. I should have taken it as a sign that this place was almost empty at 1pm on a Saturday in NY. We love us some brunch time. A restaurant this big, in Manhattan, shouldn’t exist. Nonetheless, let’s get straight to it. Service was fine, bussers were on point, host(ess) was indifferent. One thing I would recommend NOONE even think of getting is the Parker House Rolls & Plum Preserves. Don’t, just don’t. Drier than a 65-year old woman’s pu… never mind. You get the picture. TC Burger, Drunk Onions, Pecorino & Chips… good all the way through, from those yummy crispy chips to the bun. Prawns, Polenta & Pork Belly. .. the polenta was wonderful but the sauce made everything SO salty, prawn was aesthetically beautiful but far too undercooked and left fishiness all over the place. Last but not least, the pork belly. I can eat pork belly anything, anywhere, but this wasn’t crisped enough on the top yet the(under)belly was perfect. All and all.…completely and utterly unimpressed.

If you’re in the Meatpacking district and want a little more sophisticated, stylish yet comfortable place for a drink, or bite, you can find it here. One of the more lovely interior spaces around with giant windows, high ceilings, I’m guessing a 20 foot high«wine wall», stylish urban, industrial décor juxtaposed by classicly dressed servers with white shirts, ties and vests. Great house music was playing a blend of NY jazz, blues and soul music. Large wine list, good selection of craft beers and interesting, selection of more upscale«tap room» food. The main dining room on the other side of the wine wall serves a full menu. The servers and staff couldn’t be more friendlier. Dallas, our server was delightful.

Overrated. My husband and I brunched here and opted for the oh-so-popular burger and the poached egg with lobster. Everything was overly(and unnecessarily) rich — we both felt like we had consumed two-days worth of calories in just one sitting. We also believe that slopping a bunch of sauce and butter on food automatically makes it delicious. For us, the lobster dish was overwhelmed by the rich, creamy sauces accompanying it, instead of letting the core components shine through. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy; however, it was DRIPPING in butter and overtook the delicious beef itself. Would have been a wonderful dish if it wasn’t so overly-rich; some butter is perfectly fine(if not preferred) on a burger bun… but this was a sloppy mess. We also did the two white wine flights(one was a white wine flight, the other was a reisling flight). The wines were decent, but nothing spectacular. Of the two the reisling flight was better than the white wine flight… but we definitely wouldn’t do them again. Better to order a glass of wine, in my opinion.

5 stars for impeccable service, presentation, ambiance, and overall experience. I would really give it 4 stars because their portions are all«appetizer sized» for the price of an entrée($ 20−30+ each) which is a little absurd to me. However, I was just there for dinner with a friend visiting — if I came for a really special occasion like an anniversary or birthday, this place would be worth it. They recommend you get 3 dishes per person, but I really think I would have been more than fine with 2 each. I had to basically be rolled out of there I felt SO full lol– we ordered 5 dishes to split between each couple. Food, in order from my most favorite to least: 1) Bucatini w/cuttlefish, onions, basil — INCREDIBLE. Bucatini is basically a thick strand of spaghetti; the texture of it was so unique as well as the sauce. I tried cuttlefish for the first time, not too bad. 2) Campanelle with mushrooms and peas — This one shocked the whole table. Again the sauce was so unique and the taste just hits you suddenly. Very interesting look to it also. 3) Sirlion w/asparagus — The steak sauce that was on this was amazingggg. The meat was cooked perfectly. 4) Beef tare tare — this is my 2nd time ever having beef tare tare, and I loved it more than the 1st time I had it. I was basically about to lick the bowl, I ate it that fast. 5) Foie Gras — Only because I’m not a huge adventurous eater, this would be last, but it was my first time trying it. We got extra sourdough to spread it on; it melted in your mouth. ***They also gave complimentary bread rolls often(refilling even before you were done), a corn muffin to go, and(when we sat at the bar) pastries. I love free stuff, so this was appreciated(considering I was going bankrupt by the minute there lol). Dessert: We did the 6 for $ 16, which involved a sampling of different ice creams. Our table was blown away by how similar to the real deal the«Toasted Marshmallow» and«Coffee» ice cream flavors were. I truly tasted the campfire feel with the marshmallow, and coffee grains taste in the coffee. The olive oil flavor was eh. Service was top notch — the waiters are clearly dressed professionally and they were very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Never felt like I had to search for our waitress whatsoever to ask her for anything, as she came over often. Though I loved all of the above, I couldn’t stop obsessing over the décor. Dimly lit, lights hanging from the sealing, perfectly spaced tables, and the huge painting on the wall made it feel like you were right where the scenic picture was taken.

BRUNCH: horrible service. You look at my billion reviews and I may have mentioned bad service only once or twice but this place was horrible. Only 10 – 15 tables, no wait, took forever to get menu, water, drinks, food, and the bill. Food is great and French toast is some of the best but service ruined everything and for me only thing I care about for service are refills. I’ll even tolerate one piece of hair bc I’m not that picky so that should give some context. Plus 8oz diet coke is $ 5 each but had service been good id be ok. Like a bad taste in your mouth. This review is for the Tap Room(more casual than the Main Dining room which seems much fancier). Service and atmosphere were very good but wasn’t too impressed with the food. Not sure what everyone is raving about. To me, it seemed hyped up because of celeb chef and its convenient meatpacking location right across from Chelsea Market and the Highline Park. I had come in wanting the spice rubbed brisket that I saw online, but was disappointed when their actual menu said it’s only for 2 :(… UPDATEYOURMENUONLINEPLEASEE. I didn’t know what to do. I had no back-up plan. I settled for the skate with a side of potatoes. Came out rather quickly on a cast iron skillet. The skate was tasty and warm. The potatoes were… cold??? Since they were on the skillet, I thought they would be warm/sizzling hot. In fact, some of the potatoes were warm cause they were touching the fish. Wtf? This is not a good presentation if something that’s cold is half warm. Presentation aside, the potatoes tasted like something I could’ve gotten from a deli and the skate had no seasoning or sauce. There was no WOW! factor. For $ 24 and the high expectations I had for this place, I was disappointed. Now that I think of it, I had actually been to Tom Colicchio’s Riverpark restaurant and reached a similar conclusion.

TAPROOMBRUNCHREVIEW… Seems there are two Unilocal listings for the same exact restaurant/menu, and other reviewers are referencing both interchangeably, so I’ll post this to the other page as well. — Having a light breakfast earlier in the morning, we came here for a Saturday afternoon lunch/brunch, in search for some eggless options. We started off with an order of the Parker rolls, served warm on a cast skillet with tart apple butter. The density of the bread,(glazed with some butter and a sprinkling of sea salt) combined nicely with the creaminess of the apple butter. For entrees, Dana ordered the spice-rubbed brisket sandwich, served on crisp, buttery bread with a melted blend of three cheeses, horseradish, and peppers. I ordered the prawns & suckling pig confit, served with grits and a mustard jus(what the server called the«crown jewel» of their current brunch menu). The food felt rustic, and was certainly a good match for the earthy, woody décor inside. Although the draft beers($ 9-$ 14) and drinks($ 15+) sounded tasty, we weren’t craving libations enough to warrant forking over that extra cash. Our two tap waters(which were topped off about every five minutes throughout) were just fine!

From the moment we walked in to this restaurant it was amazing, from the ambience to the staff. We came here for my birthday and I think a bell went off when we walked in. Everyone knew who I was. They were wishing me a happy birthday as we were being seated by my first name. I felt so special. Our table was in the back corner of the restaurant away from all the other diners very secluded very romantic. On the table was a birthday card with my name. I was so impressed. We opened the menu and on it said Happy Birthday Kim Again attention to detail is so amazing. The restaurant is beautiful very large in scale but very romantic. The staff is amazing. Nothing like I have ever seen. Always there to clean away the plates, change silverware, and get anything we needed. For dinner we shared the warm Burrata with Brussel sprouts and truffles this was a decent size portion to share and it was delicious. The Burrata was creamy and delicious and I love that the sprouts were crispy. Next we both ordered the broccoli rabe ravioli with pepperoncini with lemon. I really like the bite from the peppers but it wasn’t to overwhelming. The raviolis were perfectly cooked and the flavors were spot on. Lastly we both ordered the dry age sirloin with salsify and black garlic and soy bordelaise although very small this plate was super amazing it came with root veg. The steak was perfectly prepared and tender. Overall and outstanding dish. For dessert we ordered the chocolate Caramel tart which was decadent and super delicious and coconut cream donuts which was fluffy and super fruity. They also came out with chocolates and a candle for my birthday that was super sweet. I am super happy we came here for my birthday. They went above and beyond. I do wish we did get a little more food for the price. Dishes are very small. Parking is a bit difficult

Chelsea Market was sooooo packed so my friend’s sister suggested to have brunch at Colcchio. Unfortunately the restaurant couldn’t accommodate our group of 10 which included 3 children. We were forced to separate the group at the two sides of the bar area. The bar stools are not comfortable because I am used to seats with backs. Food(From my bar section): Spice — Rubbed Brisket Sandwich, Horseradish & Sweet Peppers(2) and Pizza with Gala Apple, Tallegio & Rosemary(my friend) Sadly not enough Vegan/Vegetable options on the Brunch menu for my friend. Overall the food was delicious and service was good. The pumpkin seed roll was so yummy that me and my goddaugher had three each lol.
