I am updating because my second interaction with the crew of Cockpit USA was also outstanding. I wanted my USMC name tag installed perfectly on my flight jacket and they met that expectation. Very quick turnaround as well.

Great customer service. Very accommodating. They will order in jackets for you to try on with no commitments or pressure.

Amazing clothes, staff and owners. I have a few of their jackets and sweaters very nice high end items.

I bought an A2 flight jacket. It’s a horsehide jacket and cut to the specs of WWII jacket i.e. a little more fitted than the current issue. The store is a hidden gem, it’s very small but has a great selection. They don’t have every style in every size but enough that you can get a feel for the jacket and what would fit you. If you can’t find what you want they’ll order for you.
Now to the jacket — quality is second to none, really great looking and fitting jacket. The leather was already a little weathered and broken in, which is what I was looking for. It really only gets better the more I wear it, which is a lot! I tried on several different jackets while I was in the store — had great fun doing it as well. Every jacket felt well made and I can see a lifetime of wear out of these jacket. My son already has his eye on my A2 but he’s going to have to wait a few years until he gets his hands on it. Might have to pay another visit to the store with him in tow so he can get a jacket of his own.
All in all, great service (thank you Whitney) and great product. I highly recommend.

I just bought the current issue A2 leather jacket (the one issued to USAF personnel) at the Cockpit store. The staff at Cockpit were very helpful and the jacket is beautifully made. I am very happy with my experience there. The store has a lot of leather jackets to choose from and anyone looking for leather military jackets will be happy with the selection and quality. A great place to shop for leather goods.

It’s really an awesome place! If u are a USAF jacket fans I promise u will like it. Get a 10%off if shopping in store also do the shipping that u don’t need to pay the tax! I got my AVG «flying tiger» jacket today! It’s sososososososo great! 680dollars is much cheaper than buzz Rickson or eastman. But the quality is really good! Somebody tell me that the horsehide jacket will be very heavy, but it not. This jacket will be my motorcycle jacket in the future! I cannot wait to wear it! Five stars for the store!

Great little place tucked away in the garment district. Whitney the receptionist was SO very helpful. Lots of quality products if you can afford it. Fine vintage reproduction leather military jackets (specifically airborne) with stuff here and there. Very expensive very high quality top of the line products here. nothing cheap. You are in the middle of Manhattan in the garment district… Amazing work

Cockpit USA is fantastic as it has a unique experience from the moment you walk through the front doors! Airplanes hanging from the ceiling and in all different sizes and model will definitely grab your attention. The clothes are all military inspired and most men like that type of clothing. Their bread and butter must be the leather jackets with style of the G-​1 and A-​2 class fighters. Customer service is good and respectful and will not shy away from giving you a suggestion for what style fits you best. If you like the military, this is your store to go!

Honestly, I really appreciate the whole shopping experience more so than the merchandise. There are always a handful of things I like, but everything seems a little pricey for what it actually is.
I truly dig the décor. The half-​plane in the entry is cool. And, I know, it’s called the cockpit. We get it. You have bomber jackets. But there’s more to life than just bulky leather with a shearling collar… or IS there?

This place is ok. It’s kinda on the pricey side for such simple jackets and pants. I go there to get ideas for what I want to look for. I myself work in army surplus and some of the items that they sell are 2x as much. On the plus side there store is really well lit and inviting and they have a great setup.

The funniest thing about Cockpit USA is what it has displayed inside — you enter off the bustling liveliness of Broadway Ave and are instantly greeted by a huge (you guessed it) cockpit. Before turning around and writing off the store entirely, maneuver passed the arced desk and take a lay of the land. The store is affiliated with the American Airpower Museum, hence the décor. I’m surprised that nobody reviewed this store before. Anyway I stopped in yesterday with a friend that was browsing for some new stuff. This place is a little on the pricey side. There was a decent number of retro tees which was pretty cool if you are into that. There replica boomer jackets and other aviator type of clothes. They even had some plaid shirts that reminded me of something you would see in an eddie bauer catalog.

Can’t believe I’m the first to review this store! I’m not sure how long they’ve had a store here but I am a wardrobe stylist and I recently visited this store for a job. The stores offers men’s & women’s clothing that is high quality using techniques of the 40s, 50s & 60s. It has an aviation theme and the layout & merchandising is amazing featuring war & aviation memorbilia. Come here to get a really nice high quality piece for your wardrobe that will not go out of style. They also have a showroom on 5^th Ave & an aviation museum in Long Island.
