Went today with a taco craving. We got an order of sweet potato fries to start which were decent. Then had two orders of tacos — 2 chicken and 3 al pastor. The chicken were delicious. The al pastor were decent. The only downfall is they don’t let you mix and match tacos. We had so many we wanted to try!

This place was upsetting for a weekend dinner. There are many better mexican restaurants around. I definitely wont be going back. The only thing that prevented this from getting 1 star was the outdoor patio and the amicable service. We got the pastor tacos(dripping with grease, strange texture, and the tortillas were not good) and the shrimp tacos(flavourless) and the queso mac and cheese which was boiled pasta with mexican cheese melted on top(also flavourless).

Definitely come during happy hour. Margaritas are $ 7. I always get the watermelon one. Drinks are pretty good, not very strong. In addition to the margaritas, I really love their Cobb ensalada($ 11). I know it’s silly to order a salad at a Mexican restaurant, but it is SO good. I’ve seen so many people order it a countless amount of times, so I finally gave it a try. DELISH.

Oh, wow, I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Cascabel before! I almost feel like Robert Browning: «How do I love Thee? Let me count the ways…» Honestly, the freshness(ingredients), the pizzazz(flavor combinations), the juxtaposition(traditional vs. contemporary Mexican flavors): it all nearly blows me away. «Our classic order» of tortilla soup(s), guacamole con tostado, ensalada luchador(OR that lovable cobb!), kale-quinoa ensalada, ELOTEEEEEEEASADOOOOOO! plus a handful of assorted tacos, is the stuff that the greatest of parties are made of. This food is LEGEN–(wait for it) –DARY! Bonus points: I used tonight for a slightly off-classic order, AND a live person telephoned me to CHECK whether I really meant to order the mac&cheese&chorizo or intended to order the straightup queso fundido, since ITWOULDAPPEAR that many folks confuse the two dishes in their inebriated fog. WELL, I confirmed that I wanted the mac&cheese&chorizo; and I did enjoy it. So why not five stars? Delivery service is always impeccable, but in-house service at a crowded weekend brunch time or evening can slip sometimes. Understandable, yes, we’re only human. The TACOS: I confess I do not love them. This is odd. I don’t get why the NON taco dishes(particularly the tortilla soup, which is spectacular) always seem to be so much better than the tacos. YES, Cascabel Taqueria is a clear credit to its neighborhood; and YES, with effort it can improve to being a TOPTIER, destination restaurant. THAT’S ALLFORNOW — I’ll check in as needed.

The servers genuinely are happy to see you enjoying your food and I was seriously enjoying my dinner tonight. My very first time here, the food was so so so fresh and well made. The unsweetened iced tea was perfect, the salad with chipotle dressing, chicken, radishes and corn was extremely delicious! They also brought me these big round crunchy corn chip style(but way bigger) chips. They were not greasy, not salty but the perfect side to have with my salad. They brought me extra to take home in a bag, no way I said I’m having them right here and now! Oh, so so good!!! Oh I’m full but I’m definitely coming back! Normally I won’t be caught dead on the upper east side, I was only here to visit a friend who just opened a business on the same block but tonight he left early so I tried this place out instead and I’m so grateful !!! Finding great food and genuinely friendly service plus a nice ambiance is not always easy but because they have all 3 qualities I highly recommend them and coming back for more soon.

Recommended by Michelin and Forbes, Cascabel is likely the most authentic Mexican in the area. With the exception of the more new-age, corporate-like Calexico it’s also ranks highest amongst all similar fare in Yorkville. While my partner had been here many times and raved about their happy hour special, it wasn’t until we went on an early weeknight date that I saw how impressive the food and specials were at Cascabel. Ingredients are fresh, and the flavor of their burritos and standalone entrees are stellar. I had a steak burrito that was perfectly season, incredibly filling, and came aside the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever consumed. Granted, sweet potato fries aren’t this revolutionary side dish, these were pretty crispy and marvelous… topped with chopped cilantro and other herbs and spices. In addition to the good meal we had we were treated very well by our server even once he became overwhelmed with the growing crowd past 8PM. The atmosphere is festive, fun but not too loud before nightfall, and nice and cool in the summer even with their windows open for natural light and their outdoor seating area. Conclusively, I am glad my additional Yorkville restaurant exploration led me to Cascabel Taqueria and genuinely look forward to returning. It’s ideal for happy hour and very much recommend it to locals.

On a Friday night at 8:30PM, the restaurant was packed with upper east siders looking to unwind after a day’s work. My party of 4 was fortunate to grab a table without wait. Once seated, we ordered a round of margaritas, appetizers and main dishes. At the end, we used our Unilocal Check in Offer to redeem a free churro dish! For the margaritas, I tried both the watermelon basil and cucumber mint. I highly recommend both. They are decently strong and you can spice it up with a salted rim. For the appetizers, we ordered Chorizo Mac n Cheese and Guacamole & Chips. The Chorizo Mac n Cheese was good. We didn’t get it spicy but I think we should have in the end. I really enjoyed the guac chips! The chips came large and round, and you had to break them into pieces to dip in the guacamole. For the main dish, I got the camaron(shrimp) tacos. They were generous with the shrimps and it was very delicious. To end the night, we got a free churro dish from checking in on Unilocal. It came with chocolate(or was it nutella) dipping sauce. I highly recommend getting this! We each grabbed a mini churro and it was gone in 5 seconds. If I’m ever on the Upper East Side, I’ll be sure to stop in at this restaurant again.

A friend recommended this place for brunch so we checked out the menu online and was super excited to eat after a grueling workout. My boyfriend ordered the chorizo benedict and I got the pancakes y huevos. We also ordered the horchata and ice coffee. Here are some pros and cons from my experience: Pros: –Our waiter was very friendly –Both the chorizo benedict and pancakes y huevos tasted great! The chipotle hollandaise sauce was amazing and added a little kick to the creaminess of the sauce. –The horchata was excellent! Cons: –The portion size of the Benedict was on the small side and there definitely wasn’t enough huevos with my pancakes y huevos –We waited over 30 min for our food. The table next to us, who came in a good 15 min after us and ordered after us, got their food before us. –When we inquired about our food, our waiter was apologetic and offered a free dessert after we finished our food. We were so full and wanted to head out, so we asked if they could just comp our drinks instead… the manager declined. This boggles my mind. Having worked in food service myself, I know the restaurant wouldn’t have lost anything by comping our horchata and iced coffee. I left with a bad taste in my mouth because it was bad customer service. My boyfriend and I really wanted to go back for their lunch and/or dinner but I’m not really sure after the poor service.

Casual festive restaurant with a contemporary pop culture mexican flare and décor, and great tacos and margaritas. The atmosphere was lively, pretty crowded but there was some seating. I wasn’t a fan of the narrow community tables inside which have you sitting across from your friend and closely next to your neighbors, but there are other non community tables inside and outside, and they found one for us outside. Not being authentic mexican décor, I was curious and asked a manager to find out what the fighter /superhero looking paintings had to do with Mexico. The owner incorporated lucha libre as a big part of the décor, the pop culture pro/freestyle wrestling really big in Mexico and characterized by colorful masks and theatrical personalities. Thus, the paintings all over the walls commissioned by a Mexican artist. Once I recognized the owners vision, I thought it was a great contemporary twist for a Mexican restaurant particularly considering there are so many more traditional Mexican restaurants in the area. The outcome is an upbeat, fun contemporary feeling pop culture influenced casual Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was very good with chunks of avocados and served with warm taco looking chips you break apart. Chicken tacos were delicious, and rice was decent. Tacos served in silver metal trays which are contemporary but not my preference, something about eating out of trays makes me feel they may not be as sanitary as I would like — I realized mostly as my friend went to dish some rice on my tray and I couldn’t say no don’t do that fast enough — I will eat from the bowl, but hey, maybe that’s just me. The mezcal pomegranate martini was wonderful. Service was friendly. Recommend as a casual spot with great tacos and margaritas and a change from authentic Mexican.

Tried to like this place. Been about 10 times but I think today might be the last. Food is highly overrated. I really hate writing such a bad review on Unilocal, and maybe you should ignore me and hopefully this review does cause them to improve their ways. I do support Giving them another chance(even though I will not!) maybe you should… My problem is this– food is too expensive for what it is… and it has progressively gotten worse. I must say our waitress Kayla was great. My boyfriend ordered carne Asada tacos and they were not good. I ordered a Cobb salad and it had issues. Came out with 4 tiny pieces(little squares) of avocado and the lettuce they served me was the bitter end of romaine — yellow and hard and actual pieces of the core! For $ 10. The salad cost them prob $ 1.50, maybe $ 2. When it was first served to me, I complained about the tiny amount/lack of avocado… the manager did come out, agreed it was bad and brought more avocado. But as I mixed the salad together and tried to eat it… discovered it was all CRAP lettuce. We told the nice waitress, she had it removed from the bill(I did not eat it — of course) but the worst part, the manager never came by to say sorry about it all. She never even came by to see the plate… and she just had the hostess drop off our bill… and when she did, she also did not say sorry… in fact she said nothing! Just plopped the check down and walked away quickly as if we did something wrong! Horrible.

This time I went for their AYCE taco option Monday’s. 25 $ gives unlimited tacos and beers/sangria. Not a bad deal but here is the catch. You can only get one kind of tacos at a time and then 2 each so is hard to try them all. I asked to have single tacos but they refused, this is why 4 stars. That is overall a great deal for NYC and the food and sauces were delicious, so we’re the drinks which came in quickly.

We got this sent to us at work and we were all so impressed by the quality, taste and presentation of the food! There’s about 30 people who work on our floor and we had enough food for everyone. My favorite was the taco with the onion and eggplant on top of the pork. I absolutely loved the cute mini churros that you dip in chocolate! You must eat it while it’s hot, otherwise it’ll get soggy and you won’t enjoy it as much. The sweet potato fries were good as well but a bit soggy. I’m going to attribute it to the fact that they had to deliver it to us. The kale salad was not only healthy but also tasty. This is by far the best food we’ve gotten at work. It was a wonderful surprise and I will be sure to take my friends there for taco Mondays! The guacamole was absolutely delicious! Everything just tasted so fresh. Give it a try!

As a child, I was deprived of Mexican food– my mom isn’t a fan so we never really ate it. Now that I’m a grown up and can make grown up decisions for myself(like what I get to eat!), I see what I have been missing out on. If only I had a Cascabel near me when I was growing up!!! This place has a great array of Mexican dishes, ranging from tacos, burritos and entrée options. On my most recent visit, I tried the Cemita Poblano sandwich(basically a huge slab of tender, juicy pork butt meat with mango avocado, cheese and sauce sandwiched between two buns!) Delicious(and served with some great sweet potato fries). Try the Queso Fundido too– melted cheese with bits of chorizo that is meant to be wrapped up in a warm tortilla(just make sure to hustle that cheese out before it hardens!) If you check in on Unilocal, you’ll get a free dessert(churro bites served with melted chocolate– delicious) You can’t go wrong with anything here! Great drinks, food and service. Check out happy hour too! Great deals here

I decided to check out Cascabel Taqueria with a friend for their happy hour. We both ordered spicy margaritas — I got the original lime and she got the cucumber. The drinks were really good, strong enough but not over done. The spice was delicious — the salt on the rim was spicy, and there were jalapeños infusing into the drink. The wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. I liked the ambience with an outdoor seating section and an indoor section, but open air throughout. This is a great place to go on a nice night for drinks and snacks. We didn’t try the happy hour food, but the menu looked good — there was a taco, a tamale, nachos, and some other snacks all at reasonable prices. With the happy hour price, or big spicy margaritas were only $ 7 each. It’s not the cheapest in town, but the product wasn’t cheap quality either. In summary: A nice place to go for a happy hour on a nice night. Prices are good, not epic, but definitely solid for the area.

Fun casual place for drinks and some tacos while in the Upper East Side. My boyfriend and I came here for another date night and of course over ordered. We started off with the margaritas which were delicious and flavorful. I got the pomegranate hibiscus flavor and it had good flavor to it. At $ 11, it was a little steep but the quality seemed a little higher than a usual margarita so I can see the slight premium. As for the food, we got two tacos each and shared for more variation. At $ 9.95 for two tacos, again, I thought it was a bit steep but, again, the quality and what they gave me made it worth it. We shared the Pescado and Carne Asada, all came with corn tortillas which is the start of a great taco. Pescado: tons of hearts of palm, three crisp yellowfin tuna belly in each taco, sliced green olives and red onion. Overall very delicious. A little dry so some of their taco sauces went great with this taco. The flavors were all there. The fish tasted fresh and had great texture. Huge portions. Carne Asada — hanger steak which was super tender and full of beefy flavor. This taco didn’t need any additional sauces. It had plenty of flavor and the crispy shallots added great additional texture to the soft taco. Very good and also huge in portions. Two tacos per person is more than enough for a hungry gal, especially if you get an appetizer and a side, which is what we did, hence we overate. We got the yuca frita which was a typical yuca fries dish. It was great with their chipotle aioli. We also queso fundido and substituted soft tortilla with tortilla chips. THISWASDELICIOUS. It came out bubbling hot with plenty of chorizo on top. The Chihuahua cheese was so flavorful and everything was just beautifully gooey. Then when we got to the bottom, there was a layer of crisp cheese. We cleaned this dish. So good. We ended the meal with free churros thanks to Unilocal check-in. The churros were freshly fried but I found the taste to be just okay. Not worth getting again in my perspective. I would definitely be interested in trying more of their tacos and reordering the queso fundido. Fat and yum.

I have never left a review on Unilocal before, but this just happened and I’m pretty upset and disgusted. I was quite happy with my delivery time, and I thought the tacos al pastor that I ordered were really good. I was happy to have found a good Mexican place near by in which I could do take out, but not until half way through my guacamole, I found an animal hair. For the record, I do not have any animal at my place. I called them, they refunded me the money of the guac and I appreciated that, but seriously? Animal hair? I would have been way less upset with a human hair. Since I do work in the industry I know it shouldn’t, but it can happen. Animal hair though, hell no! I also believe that they should have refunded the whole meal at this point. Anyway, watch out what you eat.

So super sad to have to say after tonight I am done with Cascabel. I ordered fish tacos with extra chipotle mayo on the side. An hour and 10 minutes after I ordered the order came and 1– it was FREEZINGCOLD. 2– Not only no extra mayo, aioli at all. The last three times I ordered the tacos were cold. I have tried heating them in the microwave but it makes the taco soggy and heats up the slaw which you don’t want. I tried heating up on top of the stove but them you have to add butter or whatnot to the pan and I would rather not add another ingredient. The chipotle is a core component of what makes this taco combo so good. After the last two times my tacos arrived with ZERO chipotle I made it super clear tonight. I said it twice and she repeated it back to me. There was no mistake but again not only was there no extra on the side, there was none Inside! I pulled out the fish to look hard and see before calling and indeed, there was nothing. The slaw was a little wet so I thought MAYBE there was a teeny bit in there that I couldn’t see? If there was it was so small I couldn’t taste it and believe me the sauce is so good– you can taste it. So while I AM a fan of the tacos I will never order take out again. I have probably ordered 15x and I would say 10x something has not been right about the order. The last few times the combo of cold and no chipotle had me actually throwing them out one night and the other nights just not at all feeling satisfied with the dinner. Trust me, once you have had the tacos made the way they are written up to be made, you can taste the massive difference when an ingredient is missing. Not to mention you end up paying $ 15 including tip. To be done wanting to eat something else kind of sucks. Tonight they said I could talk to the manager but I declined b/c I didn’t want to wait another hour for another set of tacos. Sidebar: Their delivery guys really vary. Some are SO nice. They make you happy you ordered and want to tip them extra. Others, like the guy from tonight, lay on the doorbell for 10 – 15 seconds to buzz him in. It is so jarring. I have had this guy before. I recognized it. He just lays on it then he gets upstairs exasperated. I’d put aside $ 4 in tip and he acted like he was just annoyed to be here. Tonight I just feel like I wasted my money and I am still hungry!!! I guarantee if the mayo was in the tacos I wouldn’t be. Last sidebar– when the tacos are cold I find that I pull off more of the taco to not eat as well as it tastes ick cold.

Cascabel is a good go-to in the neighborhood. My favorite eats are the Queso Fundido appetizer and the fish tacos! One of the(few) establishments in the Upper East Side that has more of that laid back, hipster vibe. Screens will often have a ball game on, but no sound. Brunch and Monday Taco Madness are fun to try out. Ladies, each time I’ve been here with my girlfriends, there’s been a good ratio of single guys to single girls. Happy adventuring! xo

Cascabel was a decent find for a Mexican bottomless brunch on the UES. Even on a rainy day, the atmosphere was upbeat and inviting. For $ 15.00, all you can drink for 1 hour(does not include entrée). The selection of drinks you can choose from(and mix) are more than just a standard mimosa or bloody mary. The El Capitan, made with passionfruit, was our favorite, but you can also try their margaritas. Note that this is for 1 hour only, meaning the restaurant knows that the average person can’t down more than 3 or 4 of these within that time span, so it’s really not the best deal. As for the food, we started off with the queso fundido which was delicious. I also had the tortilla soup which was satisfying and flavorful, although there wasn’t shredded chicken. All of the entrees are priced between roughly $ 9 and $ 12 dollars. Note that if you’re doing bottomless, you can only choose from the two columns closest to the right side of the menu which I found to be ridiculous. Although I would not go out of my way to return for brunch, no big complaints here! P. S. — one free order of churros through Unilocal

My friend and I take our fish tacos very, very seriously. Luckily, Cascabel did not disappoint. The guacamole was very good. Then we got two each of three types of tacos: Cameron(shrimp), baja fish, and pescado. Pescado was our least favorite – a little dry and not a huge fan of the hearts of palm. Cameron was almost too juicy but I love shrimp so I enjoyed it a lot. The shrimp taco was nicely complemented by red onion and black beans. The baja fish was our favorite. It was crispy and had a nice cabbage slaw and chipotle aioli on top.

Summary: Great neighborhood Mexican place with a GREAT happy hour and boozy brunch. Go-to spot for a great time. Food: The tacos here are very tasty with a great selection. I had the pork, chicken, and beef ones. Mushrooms aren’t my thing, but I had a bite of my friend’s and it was pretty decent. The wings are wayyy too sweet and not very tangy, so I wouldn’t suggest those. Drinks: The lime margarita ended up being a bit too sour but the pomegranate one was on the money. Atmosphere: Pretty lively and somewhat loud but you can easily carry on a conversation. Service: Very friendly and not too intrusive. Good stuff

I’ve lived on the UES for almost 3 years. But for some reason, while this has been on my radar for some time, the food just hasn’t been on my plate… until last week. I’ve heard great word of mouth reviews from friends who live in the hood or used to. While I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite Mexican place, it’s a solid find for the local spot in the area. The spicy watermelon margarita was on point. Order that if you want something that teeters back and forth between spicy and sweet. Really good choice. Then for food, the tacos seemed to be where you should stack your cards. The downside on the taco front is that you can only order one kind vs being able to mix and match. I prefer being able to be flexible on the taco front… really enjoy being able to do more than one kind. Especially since they had a list of like 7 – 10 kinds, it would be great to try a few. So while the tacos were flavorful(carnitas), I really can only comment on one kind vs multiple. The queso fundido app was always a nice starter. Deal Seeking Diva tip: This place is pretty inexpensive as it is, so it’s a good deal in and of itself. I would say though, keep to the tacos if you’re saving money since they are both filling and not expensive.

I’d have given Cascabel 4 stars easily about six weeks ago for their happy hour alone. But, they’ve changed it so that the drinks are half the size, at best. Gone are the full size but half-price margaritas, and their $ 4 «beers» are just 10-ounce glasses of beer. You’re not getting a deal. You’re just getting a smaller pour. It’s a shame, because we used to have a group of four here meet every week or week-and-a-half or so for happy hour. But it’s no longer a good deal, and while the food is pretty solid — the tacos are stuffed really full, the burritos are good, I like the sweet potato fries — it’s not close enough to my apartment that we’ll go out of the way to make a point of going there like we did when happy hour actually saved you some money. Not sure what ownership was thinking, but I can’t imagine any other regulars(or, in our case, former regulars) are too happy with the change.

This place is Mexican food heaven. It really doesn’t get better than this in New York. I came here for a meet-and-greet of sorts with other food Instagrammers and had a blast. We opened up with giant trays of nachos covered in ground beef, pico de gallo, shaved cheese, and queso. TBH I’m not a big queso-nacho fan, but these were delicious! My only complaint is because there was so much cheese on it(that’s possible?!) you basically have to eat with a fork if you don’t want to keep licking your fingers(which also isn’t necessarily bad…). Then they came out with the elotes. Oh god. They were popping my street corn cherry and boy was I in for a treat. Covered in chili powder and rich shaved cheese, I felt the fabric of reality fall apart when I took that bite. So. Damn. Good. You have to try it. The Yucca fries were served with(spicy mayo?) sauce and it was good(only got to try one before they disappeared). Then they let out the big boys. The beef rib was not only beautiful, but also succulent and tender. After maybe 5 minutes of taking photos, I stuck a fork in it and the meat fell off the bone. The toppings and the sauce were perfect for that dish. Finally, they brought out the tacos. I think they gave us 20 tacos each of chicken, carnitas, and steak. I only tried the latter two and they were AMAZEBALLS. Especially the steak, the taco came with some crunchy oniony thing on top that elevated its game. I think it’s one of the best authentic taco I have had in the city. The carnitas were great too but the steak blew my mind. Also, they toast the taco shells which gives them an extra crunch. LOVEIT. Throughout the night they provided margaritas and other drinks. I thought it was a little sour for my tastes, but good nonetheless. They were very patient with our group of maybe 40 people, which is really hard to do, I know. Thanks for being awesome!

Solid brunch place in the UES. Met a bunch of friends here on Sunday and had a pleasant experience. Pretty large room, with a bar immediately in front of you when you walk in. They have a mix of high-tops and regular tables, and given the size of our party, we got one of the high-tops on the right, in the middle of the room. Our waitress was sweet and patient with us, as we all wanted customized things on their brunch menu. The bottomless is $ 15, so if you’re going to drink at least one drink, it’s worth it to get it. We all shared guac and queso fundido, both of which were delicious. They have sauces on the table for you to put on your food, and the diablo and tomatillo were by far the best. I got the benedict with sauteed mushrooms and avocado(instead of the meat) and it was fantastic! I love corn bread, and don’t eat it that often, and this one hit the spot. Their portions are a bit on the smaller side, which was fine for brunch, but I don’t think they’re large enough for a dinner meal. The cornbread melts in your mouth and tastes delicious with the eggs and veggies, in addition with the hot sauce. Overall, a pretty good brunch place and I’ll have to try it for dinner.

Although the service was horrible, the options limited, and the menu rules absurd; the chorizo tacos were fantastic. After being seated it took for ever to order, despite there being very few patrons; once ordering I was told I could not get different tacos being that the order of two, must be the same, I’d have to get four tacos to have two types… This to me is ridiculous seeing as how all were the same price, noone was in the restaurant and the place was rated so high. Slightly limited menu and the chicken tacos were a bit bland. All in all this place was only redeemed by the chorizo and should probably get my overrated rating. Can’t really complain about the portion size, they are authentically served on corn tortillas and stuffed quite well, 8.50 for two isn’t too crazy although you can find em cheaper and better elsewhere.

What I’ve tried: guacamole, elote asada, various tacos, carne asada burrito, churros, and all the flavors of margaritas Tip: Happy hour 3−7− $ 7 margaritas, beer and wine, and discounted antojitos. Story: Six months ago I would have given this place four stars– I love the food! The chorizo tacos and the carne asada burrito are my favorite. They are so tasty! The cilantro with the chorizo is well balanced and the carne asada is always tender. I also really enjoy the unique flavors of margaritas. However, my last few experiences at Cascabel have been less than ideal(pause for a deep breath as I unload…) One time– I came with my sister and we each enjoyed dinner and 2 margaritas(4 in all). When the bill came, we had somehow been charged for double the amount of margaritas(8!). Obviously, mistakes happen, so we pointed it out to the waitress. Unfortunately, she was far from gracious about it, and returned with a still incorrect bill(charging for 6 this time). We again, pointed out the mistake and several minutes later, she returned with the corrected bill. Still, this was not enough to turn me off from the restaurant, so I returned. The next time I came with my boyfriend and we decided to grab a drink at the bar before sitting for dinner. It was 10 minutes ’till the end of happy hour and we each ordered one margarita. The bartender was very busy and didn’t get to our drinks for quite a while. When he returned with our drinks and the check, he had charged for the full price(not happy hour). We inquired about it, and he said it was«automatic» because he hadn’t entered our order into the computer until after 7. He seemed VERY annoyed when we explained that we had ordered our drinks with time to spare, and just waved us off saying that he would send us drinks to our table to make up for it. After much time went by at our table, we were forced to inquire about it, but we got the drinks. So I came back again… This time I came for dinner with a group of about 6 friends. We all ordered margaritas and just sat waiting for them. It seemed that the bar was busy, so we didn’t say anything. After about 20 minutes went by, our waiter came by apologizing, saying he was going to bring us some shots for our trouble. Very nice. 10 more minutes go by and we finally get our original drinks, but nothing else. It turns out the waiter had offered this before checking with the manager. The manager came to offer us some dessert instead, but it was just such an uncomfortable and strange experience. He started to explain to us that it would not be «worth it» to them to offer us anything else, since the value given to us would be more than the margaritas we paid for, etc. etc. All in all it just made me really uncomfortable! Offering something to us should not have been about the profit gained by the restaurant, but about the gesture itself since we had waited so long. Oh well. I wound up just asking if they could take one of the margaritas off the bill, since everyone was so turned off by that point and no one wanted to stay for dessert. I’d been to this restaurant a bunch of times over the past 2 years, but these past three experiences have just really been a turn off.

It’s brunch time. Why settle for bottomless mimosas, when you can have bottomless Margarita, Bloody Mary, Sangria… and the list goes on. Plus, you are not committed to just one kind of drink during your stay, you can have them all for $ 15, if your tolerance allows. 5 stars for the variety of bottomless brunch drinks! One of the favorites was the spicy margarita! Brunch food: Got the Carnitas Benedict. It has a housemade griddled corn bread, slow-roasted berkshire pork, poached farm fresh eggs and chipotle hollandaise sauce. The first bite was amazing, filled with flavors. However, the corn bread got too soggy a little later. I heard the Chorizo Benedict was also good, I might try it next time. Service: was awesome! Upbeat and friendly servers, who brought the next round of drinks before we could even finish the first round. So I had to keep up with the pace of the servers haha. Solongo approves. I will definitely be back to try their tacos and Chorizo Benedict… and of course the bottomless brunch cocktails.

Good food, average/sub-par service for my first and only time there(thus far). There was a wait, but the hostess was super friendly and attentive, although I do wish the same could be said for the wait staff/server. It took probably at least 10 minutes for us to even get water(the couple next to us, who sat down after us, got served their food before us and also had to wait for their water/drinks as well). We were sat outside, so I don’t know if they were short-staffed that night, but there also was another couple waiting around to pay and it took them probably 5 – 10 minutes to flag someone down. Anyways, the food is served on a cute, little metal/steel tray, the food was good. I got the carne asada tacos, and carnitas burrito with sweet potato fries. Very flavorful, not dry at all, and the spices really accentuated the meal. The interior/décor looked very nice and semi-intimate. Location is great! I would go again if the service was quicker.

Came during Happy Hour for $ 7 lime margaritas, and was pleased. The burrito was good, came with sweet potato fries & crème on the side. An odd pairing, and I wish the crème had been queso, but still good. The other style margaritas looked good, but I wonder why they didn’t offer sugar or salt on the rim? The churros were pillowy soft and came with delectable dark chocolate sauce, but you only get 4 nuggets for $ 4.
