Good simple vibe, fresh honest food. Cash only ! First time I came I took the bagel– salmon-cream cheese combo that didn’t satisfied me at all… But to be fair I’m never really convinced by bagels. And there where huge raw onions inside that gave everything the taste of onion even when on the side. But the cream cheese part was good. Huge I mean. I don’t mind large portions. Gave it a second try was a very good call. We took florentine eggs(nice sweat & salty with pancakes-poached eggs-bacon) and israeli salad(which comes with some sort of cream you spread on pita bread and tastefull olives). All was delicious, simple, and served with much attention.

I can confidently write this 5 star review after months of consistently coming back to amazing food, regardless of my menu choice. Everything is delicious, but especially the Moroccan tea pot, pasta dishes, soup and the free bread when you sit down. I have a special place in my heart for the great service and casual yet special atmosphere. Also giving a 5 star review to the eclectic sound track playing in the back ground.

Cute little place to brunch in the LES! It wasn’t hard to find and it was right by the F train at the corner of the street. My friend and I didn’t have to wait and got seated immediately. We ordered the steak Benedict and the Jerusalem nested egg which was too hyped up on some reviews. I was kind of disappointed with the Jerusalem nested egg. It was way too salty and the bread was really hard. I definitely would not order again. I love the steak Benedict though. The steak was soft and tender. It went really well with the eggs and bread. I would come back for the steak Benedict and other things on the menu. One con about this place is that they only accept cash so remember to take out money before coming here!

Absolutely delicious AND afforable! Love the vibe as well and the service was friendly. What more can you ask for? The Eggs Florentine was spectacular and the side salad was perfectly dressed.

Got a Quinoa dish which came with Sautéed kale, mushrooms, corn and roasted sweet potatoes for take out. This is a vegan dish, which usually doesn’t fill me up but this dish hit the spot. Thoroughly enjoyed it and it wasn’t overly oily and the kale was just right, not mushy and had a bit of a bite still. Usually vegan dishes don’t fill me up, but this hit the mark as well. Overall enjoyed the full, had good flavor and would order it again. My only thing is I wish I had more sweet potatoes, only two slices of it. Definitely would come back again.

I’ve been in the LES for over two years and it wasn’t until recently I was able to try this wonderful café. The food is great, just check out the photo. Need I say more?

Had a take out lunch and ordered the grilled chicken Panini sandwich. It was very delicious and filling. Pesto sauce tasted homemade and the sandwich bread had the right amount of crisp texture. There was also a mesculin salad that came with a sweet/sour Asian dressing on the side. I only ate half of the sandwich and left the rest for later. Next time I will try the dining in experience.

Lovely café. I had the broiled eggs over pancakes and bacon and a side of fresh fruit, with english breakfast tea, lemon and honey. The service was friendly and food arrived quickly. The food was delicious. Great brunch spot.

awesome food with great affordable prices in the lower east side. I love the fact the have middle eastern selections with shakshuka on breakfast menu. I got an omelette but they have an eclectic breakfast/brunch specials. Now that I know they have such a great menu — cannot wait to come back.

I’m hesitant to write a review for this place so it doesn’t get crazy busy but want it to do well. Have been here for brunch and dinner and it’s been solid on both occasions. Fresh ingredients, fun and funky young staff(without the too cool for school LES attitude), and charming décor. Plus: fresh focaccia bread at dinner and they have a *few* outdoor seats in front first come first serve. Cash only/no reservations. You’re welcome!

Café Petisco is a treasure find in the Lower East Side area. It is located just in the outskirts of Chinatown. The spot introduces Mediterranean-style brunch to locals and visitors over the course of the next few years. Overtime, it earned its rightful place as a local favorite and solid performer in the brunch scene. One of my friends just moved to New York City and curious about the brunching culture. I immediately thought of Café Petisco since it was so close to her apartment. Our party of three arrived here around 12:00PM on a Saturday and we were seated almost immediately. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is a great choice here to start with. Very fresh with hints of tangy in flavor. House blended coffee is noteworthy as well. For Mediterranean-style Brunch: I would highly recommend their Mediterranean-style brunch dishes. I got Alyssa’s Breakfast which is two eggs any style with Israeli Salad, and Pita bread. Pita bread is remarkable for it is served warm and soft. It is quite a healthy and refreshing dish to have without putting you into food coma. Zoe’s Malawah comes with two eggs any style over a fresh dough pancake with a tomato based sauce(you can do without it!). Jerusalem Egg was a show-stopper! For egg lovers, this dish is a beauty. A nesting runny egg right in the middle of a sesame bagel. Watching the egg just oozing out while it is still cooking inside the warm bread just makes my mouth water. Wait until you slice it open, you would not be able to resist it and before you know it, you already devoured it. Trust me, I was in that position! For the Traditional Brunchers: An All Eggs Party: Crabcake Eggs Benedict, Norwegian Smoked Salmon over Potato Cake, and Eggs Florentine with Smoked Salmon. Each comes with a side of fresh salad. Crabcake had fresh crab meat that you can still even taste the freshness of it. That’s incredible! Their Eggs Florentine version comes with smoked salmon which is really known as the Smoked Eggs Benedict elsewhere. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked and I love that sight of the golden yellow egg yolk oozing out! Beautiful. Both of these dishes were really good on the top. But I found it so awkward that the bottom piece was not a biscuit or an english muffin but a weak bread roll to hold everything up. In opinion, it really lost that texture as an Eggs Benedict. Norwegian Smoked Salmon with poached eggs were placed over a potato cake. It was an interesting item and quite good except it was a little too burnt. Hollandaise sauce flavor was on the weak side but an acceptable healthy alternative. Overall, a welcoming introduction to the brunch scene to our new friends. For now, it is Cash Only.

A somewhat hidden, but definitely a gem of an establishment, in the outskirts of Loho with a diverse menu and fresh ingredients. A little corner restaurant that is actually quite charming and spotlessly clean. There is certainly a welcoming and home like vibe to Café Petisco, which is further intensified by the smallest of details such as a consistently lit candle in their bathroom or the fact that their coffee is served with a small carafe of heavy cream without even requiring a request for it. Café Petisco is certainly a restaurant that demonstrates enthusiasm for every detail. The effort does not go unnoticed. It is cash only, but their menu is reasonably priced. The mushroom, caramelized onion, spinach and manchego cheese omelet served with mixed greens was absolutely delicious. All of the ingredients were exceptionally fresh, the caramelized onions were savory and the eggs were not laden with grease. The side of home fried baby red potatoes that I ordered were excellently done as well. The strawberry lemonade($ 4.50), with a touch of mintiness, was made entirely from scratch and served in a mason jar, but it was completely worth every penny. I am definitely planning on trying their cucumber lemonade as well as their passionade in the near future, and I am very much looking forward to becoming a regular diner at Café Petisco.

Great place to come for a bite. Service is wonderful. Tho I have only been here during breakfast time. We were also given homemade cookies on the house. This is a very nice a small hip place. I’ve also noticed they get fresh delivery everytime I have eaten here. Also not very expensive. $ 15 will get you a nice breakfast and coffee. This is a cash only!

Quaint, reasonable and charming. A friend and I came here for lunch, but I chose to indulge in their breakfast menu. I really wanted the Green ShackShuka but that is only served during brunch on the weekends ;-( I got the Breakfast Special: Two eggs any style w/fries and toast. It came with orange juice and coffee, I opted for tea. I got scrambled eggs with cheese, salad and tea. I loved how fast the food came out, especially because I was hungry. I thought the prices were super reasonable. You must be wondering I have said reasonable twice in this review so how much was the meal? It was $ 7!!! that is cheaper than a McDonald meal. It makes me feel happy that I got an authentic café feel with affordable prices. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely return if I am in the area again. FYI, it’s CASHONLY!
