I think the cashier is also the cook as well since when I ordered, she headed straight to the back and a moment later I heard deep frying sounds. After I while when she completed my order, I noticed that the screen used to punch out my receipt was different than the menu on the table. It was a dollar difference but I hope it won’t happen again an they got their system fixed. There was also a small issue of them not having enough change so the clerk and I had to wait while the manager got change for my 20 from somewhere else. My last put off was that the poutine didn’t looked like they had gravy on it, only cheese and spices on top of the duck… wished I checked before I left. The taste of the poutine was decent since it was freshly made and the meat wasn’t overcooked or gamy. I thought that the potatoes were supposed to be French fries shaped but came in scalloped form instead which I didn’t mind at all. Just need extra gravy or any gravy was all.

This is the place to come for a SLOW relaxing and fresh breakfast. It is a great deal as well — eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, cucumbers/red onion w/feta — $ 10. Comfortable seating and tranquil music. I’ll come back. Id suggest they pick up the pace of preparation for those that are in more of a rush.

I stopped by this weekend for brunch. It’s a small space, but charming with mosaic tile table tops. I had the omelette, called the BEST for bacon, eggs, swiss cheese and tomato. It’s a three egg omelette and certainly looked an tasted great. It came with a slice of multigrain toast and butter. I also got a very tasty fruit plate, as well. I would definitely order it again or try something new with friends.

Food is decent for the price. Had pancakes, with hash browns, eggs and bacon for $ 7! Brother had the burger and he said it was pretty good.

These must be some fake reviews or we had some really bad luck. I came in with my roommate and we ordered an omelet and a salad. There was only one other couple there and we wanted to try something new and quick. Maybe this falls on the person that was working but our food took about 30 minutes(for an omelet and a salad). The omelet tasted fine but wasn’t the most attractive thing(I never would’ve served it). The woman serving us also brought my roommates salad about 15 minutes after I received my entrée. She also ordered a side of bacon that literally was in crumbles instead of strips. Her salad was also soaking wet. This review isn’t to be malicious but it was a little bit incredible how bad the service and food was. The waitress didn’t bring us salt/pepper, never brought us a refill on the water bottle. Our bill wasn’t right either but we just paid it to get out. Disappointing since we live nearby!

This little café just popped up in the lower east side not too long ago. It’s super close to the east broadway train station, so it’s super convenient. The food here is average and the prices are reasonable; considerably affordable for this area. We ordered multiple omelettes, Belgian waffle, coffee ice cream, and salmon with pesto spaghetti. The food took a while to come out and each dish was brought out one by one in intervals of 5 – 10 minutes. It could have been faster, seeing that the café wasn’t busy. The salmon was a bit overcooked for my liking and the pesto sauce was a bit bland, I would have liked a strong pesto flavor. The sauce tasted kind of diluted… Belgian waffle was sweet and crispy, our tables favorite but to me it could have been fluffier. It was definitely left on the waffle iron for a bit too long. Also, there was no whipped cream on it! :(only a few pieces of banana(not even half a banana) and a few pieces of pecan. Omelettes was huge and came with a slice of Multigrain bread and butter. Coffee ice cream came with a nice handful of fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries. I would come back here because the price is decent for the food I am receiving and it’s a friendly neighborhood café.

I was thrilled to stumble on Café de Nora on the lower east side. The menu is eclectic and has several stellar breakfast options including omelettes and the delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. Enjoyed a great burger the following day for dinner, simple but totally delicious. It’s the kind of place where you can cozy up to a coffee and linger with friends over a meal for a very reasonable price. The attention and service were great and I was greeted with a complimentary coffee during breakfast. The kind of thing that makes you want to come back and make it your spot.

This place just opened up! It’s beautiful and they have a lot of food options. I came in today out of curiosity and it was an excellent decision. I had a large latte — their beans are really high quality. It’s a blend, kinda sweet — not bitter at all! This is going to be my new go to spot for coffee! Can’t wait to have their food! They have POUTINE!!! Suzzie made me the BEST latte!!! Excellent new shop! Nice place to sit and relax!!!
