Went here for the Valentine’s Day Brunch. I had a reservation and was seated immediately. We wanted to sit next to the window and was accommodated. Our server was very attentive and checked on us enough that it wasn’t annoying. They played Spanish music which was expected but also some current tunes so it made the dining experience pleasant. The food was cooked well and we had the Guava Mimosa which was great. Small negative was they had a heating issue so it was a bit cold. They gave us complimentary shots to keep us «warm» which was cool. Definitely somewhere I’d go to again. Can’t go wrong with cheese omelette if you do go.

Came here with my friend that came down from upstate went to happy hour it was pretty nice and it was actually quiet. Didn’t like that there wasn’t exactly a playlist but the drinks were on point and our bartender was amazing

Trash, obviously loud place, ghetto crowd. Surrounded by rats. This spot seems to have a confused identity. It calls itself a café yet plays music like a night club, has its seating arrangements like a bar and its food offering like a cheap restaurant. On top of all this, it is situated right next to the trash disposal so if you come at night, come prepared to fight of some rats the size of house cats.

Had late brunch on a warm Sunday afternoon with group of friends and kiddos. Staff was very accommodating with stroller and party size since space inside is a little tight, they easily worked around so have to give them 5 stars for that! There seemed to be another large party behind us and maybe a few tables outside so overall place was full. Service was good, guava sangria sneaks up after the 3rd pitcher! I recommend 2 max! The chipotle chicken was bad but the yuca fries, wings & chicken fingers were decent. I don’t recommend coming here starving as the food is a non-priority for them. drinks, music, hookah(if you’re into that) and laughs with friends is their specialty. overall a good time.

Worst service ever!!! Even tho our waitress was on point(Ashley) our drinks on the other hand were horrible so I guess we can blame that on the bartender! we ordered our drinks and it took like 30 mins for it to get here ! Awesome service. Good food. Nice vibe. Spanish all the way. Love the Chimmi wrap with the yuca(cassava) fries. The sangria was awesome too. Small and cozy. They have hookah by request. Second time I come here. Not bad at all for happy hour after work on Friday. NOT crowded.

I came to café broadway with some of my friends for drinks. Service was horrible. Not only did it take 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive, but we ordered hookahs that got to the table 25 mins after. When our drinks arrived they were in plastic 99 cents store cups… $ 13 for a The tables that got in after us had their drinks n hookas first. The server obviously forgot that we ordered it because 3 different people came over to ask us if we ordered. DJ was good

Overpriced and terrible service. Took like 20 minutes to get our drinks and they came served in cheap plastic cups. Like the kind you get at parties. Hookah took like half an hour and they were inconsistent. One tasted like soap :/.

Came to brunch with my best friend, ordered for the Sunday brunch menu which is a total of $ 26.95 per person. The waffle that I ordered was not only dry but it taste burnt and had to be sent back it was inedible. I then ordered from the regular menu which ISNOT the brunch menu and should be charged differently.(Our waitress did not tell us brunch is cash only, but our orders came from the regular menu keep in mind) unlimited mimosas are $ 17 per person. The place was so cold a heater was placed next to us. We were then moved to the bar by the door WITHOUT he heater. We proceeded to order hookahs(3 to be exact). We’re told we couldn’t be moved back to a table because tables are for food, at this point there’s no one waiting for a table. We ordered a fish bowl but was not informed it wasn’t included in the happy hour list(but it is on the happy hour menu). The fish bowl turns out to be $ 60 and it tasted just as nasty as the waffle I ordered! I don’t recommend this place at all and I am from the neighborhood

I celebrated my birthday at Café De Broadway and my guests and I were truly happy. I definitely recommend the restaurant for brunch, dinner, or simply any occasion. The décor is nice, music was good, drinks were really tasty and the staff was very attentive. Loved it! Will most definitely go there again

As a local resident of InWood for the last 30 years; I love to see local business thrive & I try my BEST to support as much as possible. I have been here about 5 to 6 times & each time I must say I notice little things here & there. I feel like the spot doesn’t have a defined atmosphere; with that being said is why every time I go here I cringe. I must say the red quinoa salad with avocados & chicken breast is pretty yummy!

This is definitely the go to spot for brunch. Unlimited mimosas or sangria. Great place for hanging out with friends. Service is fantastic and the food is savory! I recommend this place for all types of occasions. Come on by… You will not regret it.

I was very disappointed with this place. At first glance, it is very nicely decorated, with a good amount of seating both indoor and out. I went with a group of girlfriends for brunch. Their brunch menus was EXTREMELY limited. Especially seeing that online the advertise more brunch items than they offer on the actual menu in the resturant. I opted for the chicken and waffles as did the rest of our group. The wait for our food was very long, especially considering we were one of only three tables in the whole joint. When the food finally came out, the waffles were very overcooked. And the chicken was ok on its own. It did not come with any other sides(they would tack on an extra $ 5 for any additional side). But at $ 35 a person, we took full advantage of the endless mimosas to make up for the awful food. The only reason I am even giving them 2 stars is because our waiter was very nice. But I will never go out of my way to come back to this place. Don’t waste your time or money!

There’s no reason to not give this place 5 stars! I came here with a girlfriend for dinner as we waited our turn at the nail salon next door. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside, as most people who came in did. The waitress was very nice & helpful. We both enjoyed our chicken avocado wraps. The sweet potato fries and regular French fries were good as well. The sangria, which was on happy hour until 10pm was delicious. Great service. Great food. Will come again.

I was concerned about coming here after reading the Unilocal reviews, but read a great review on my Inwood Community Group and decided to take a stroll up anyway. Glad I did! Very friendly staff, and really enjoyed my meal — I had the salmon sliders with mixed greens, and my boyfriend had the burger — which he enjoyed as well. We also had British Propers, made with Pimms, that were quite tasty — 8 $ during happy hour. There was also a great beer menu, and we had watermelon hookah($ 10 — one of the cheaper hookahs in the hood) we enjoyed as well. Friendly atmosphere, and great people watching across from Isham Park. It was a delight to sit outside as well. I did see a person with the mashed potatoes with the cheese slices melted on them — not gonna lie it looked pretty yucky — so maybe just ignore that menu item. ;-) I’ll be back for sure!

Two stars is mildly generous, but it was such a bizarre experience, I couldn’t decide how to rate it. The menu items seem wonderful – they have gluten free and vegan options, use organic ingredients, and what appears to be a great use of flavors. The drink menu was extensive and they had many fresh flavors of drinks. What we believe happened with this new restaurant is that professional chefs and mixologists were hired to CREATE the menus, and random people without the required skill sets were hired to EXECUTE them. The flavors of certain sauces and spices were delicious, but food was cold, overcooked, and just bizarrely executed, etc. The«gratin» was made with burnt slices of Kraft American Singles. The steak was tough and well done despite the request for medium rare – that’s a huge leap. The calamari was a mixture of cold pieces, mushy pieces, and random pieces where the breeding fell off. The cucumber mojito was terrible and we turned down a second FREE one, which was offered after we mentioned that the steak was well done. The cook did not know how to time things, so the steak was cold, while the sandwich we ordered was hot. The«chimmi sandwich» is just a burger. On top of all this, we sat down at 5:20 and did not receive our main courses until 6:15, and didn’t get out until 6:55. There were two other parties in the entire restaurant. We didn’t see them receive their food, but one table sent back a mojito. Service was mediocre. The waiter was nice, but never checked on us and was generally not present. We had to get a random person’s attention to finally get the check. Whomever opened this restaurant needs to hire staff capable of executing the rather intricate menu they probably paid good money to have created. We will not be returning, but I am curious to see what changes are made over the next few months.
