Excellent service, perfect ambiance, food is perfection. I brought my mom here while she was visiting and it was the best choice. The GM gave us complimentary dessert wine. Highly recommend !

Amazing place with super healthy and delicious food! We had a sprouted rice risotto, salad and a burger with choice of veggie side, their home made crackers to start blowed my mind! Will definitely recommend to everyone. Btw service is a high class fine dining!!!

Great for brunch. Had a really tasty vegetable scramble with asparagus, cauliflower and kale. The inside was just the perfect amount of runny. To top it off, they were happy to make any of the teas offered into iced tea for me, a very refreshing brunch for a hot summer day!

My experiences at Café Clover, and there have been several, have all been really outstanding! The food is delicious and the service has always been helpful, timely, and gracious — from the front of the house to the folks who pick up the plates. We have eaten at the bar and in the dining room both. Sarah is a wonderful bartender — excellent drinks and a charming attitude. The dining room service is more leisurely, but I expect, and want, that. The space was designed by Steven Gambrel and it is very stylish. Everything we’ve eaten at Café Clover has been out-of-the-ordinary. «Healthy» is usually a real turn-off for me, but here the cooking is inventive and the results get top marks from me. It’s expensive, but your experience at Café Clove will be well worth it. Ours always have been.

I had been waiting to try this place out forever. The food looked amazing and so healthy, delicious — just my type. This past Monday, upon my visit with family from South Africa, I found myself rather disappointed. The staff seated us but then took twenty minutes to pay attention to us at all. My aunt and I had been dying for wine, it was a hot day, and long day at work — how long does it honestly take to get served or noticed especially being seated smack dab in the middle? After my boyfriend walked up to get someone to take care of us, the waitress looked confused and continued to serve her other tables. Finally, a manager came over and took our wine order. When he came back, I tasted it and was disapleased so asked for something a bit sweeter and not too bitter. He returned a few minutes later with another bottle that was $ 50 more than the one I previously asked for. Is he kidding? «No thanks, sir, I was hoping for something in similar price range from California it can be a blend or Sauvignon…» He started swiping through the pages of the wine list, shouting out different types of wine, and to no avail, came back with a bottle he said«this you’ll love.» When he returned for the third time, he tried pouring some into my glass but nothing came out… the bottle was empty. «OH my, I’m sorry, let me get another.» Is this guy for real? Super oblivious tall brunette«manager» goes back to the bar. At this point, me and my aunt are fed up and desperate for our goddamn wine. Several minutes later, I see the man chatting to other staff until he catches my viscious eye and starts scurrying to our table. When he returns, he begins to tell us about this stupid wine from Spain, and I’m like«OK, sir, we just really want our wine at this point. It’s taken you twenty minutes to get us wine.» Finally, we were served and then the damn waiter puts the bottle of wine out of reach and had only poured us one inch of wine. With the wine bottle across the room, we are not even able to serve ourselves to meet the normal standard of a wine glass. The food was pretty good, quite delicious… just very small servings. I was still really hungry after the meal. So overall, no thank you Café Clover. I’m very dissatisfied with your service. The location is great and the restaurant is cute and trendy. Other than that, no way am I recommending this to anyone and certainly will not be coming back.

I went to Café Clover last night for the first time with 3 friends. The interior is beautiful, however we sat outside since it was so nice out. Overall, I was pleased with the service. We ordered the Burrata, octopus, and a half order of the risotto to start. The Burrata was great– came with a strawberry sauce that was delicious. My favorite of the three was the Risotto. It wasn’t your typical risotto and was made with grains– sprouted rye and ivory lentils. It added a unique, but great texture to the risotto– and the mushrooms on the dish were delicious. I wasn’t super thrilled with the spaghetti. It was good, but definitely not what I was expecting. The hemp noodles seemed out of place on a crab pasta. The salmon, however was delicious as well as the soft shell crab special. On the side, we got the Olive oil potato purée, which was great. Both cocktails I tried were tasty. I definitely recommend the Caipirinha if you like strawberries. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

The food was amazing and you can taste every single FRESH ingredient. It’s a bit on the pricey side but it is well worth it! The staff are friendly and the place is this cute corner restaurant that is bright and airy.

Not to crowded at lunchtime. I met my friend and because the rain was pouring we decided to grab lunch. I was in my yoga pants, and this place is kind of fancy, but it did not feel awkward. Vegetarian burger was good and reasonably priced. Salad(with tofu added) was a bit pricy but very fresh. Complimentary sparkling water is a plus!

I actually love the flax crackers and most of the food. I’ve eaten here a few times and the outdoor area is great when you can get it. However, the bottom line is that it is way overpriced but you are getting a pretty healthy meal in a well put together environment. My disdain here is for the front of house staff. Last 2 times I had ridiculous experiences trying to get a table. E.G. Told to wait 30 minutes, waited 60, then told they won’t have tables for another 30 maybe. Last time told 30 – 45 minutes and then after 60 told in plain language they actually have no idea when a table would be ready, if at all. No apology, no offer to buy me a drink after the 4 I just paid for while waiting, just a blank look. Too many amazing options in and around the neighborhood to put up with that garbage.

Went into the city for a Mother’s Day celebration with my wife and spend the day Ruth my youngest daughter who lives in the city. Since she lives in the city we rely upon her for our good options. This is s nice little place in the West Village with some healthy food options. Our reservations were for 12:45 pm and the place was pretty crowded when we arrived there. Your promptly given s bottle of water. It may have been tap water but it was presented in a nice bottle with a flip top cork. Our server was very pleasant who gave us time to chat before we finally ordered. I ordered a grass fed burger. It was prepared to order. Although it was on the smaller side it’s what you expect in the city. My wife ordered the market vegetable omelet which was filling. My daughter ordered a salad which was typical for her but it was filling and gone. Definitely Sn option when heading to that part of town.

Café Clover is a good restaurant, but apart from the food(that is very good, but in small portions) I’m really disappointed! The service is pretty bad. Our table was right in the doorway, so we were cold and the waiters were running around the table and hitting us. They should really pay more attention to their costumers!

I ventured downtown to Café Clover on Monday afternoon to visit a colleague and restaurant professional. I usually like to look up in advance where i am going because the foodie in me is always looking for a new flavor. Luke is the bartender at Café Clover, and i grabbed a seat right at the hidden bar in the back and ordered off the pre-dinner menu. Luke suggested the strawberry rhubarb caipirinhia, and after going through the list with us, we chose that and the beet infused Moscow mule. That Mule is very well the best in the city. The caipirinhia was light citrusy and refreshing, the rhubarb garnish was perfectly tart. Luke expertly shook up this bad boys simultaneously, great show watching build his beverage. We had the burrata in strawberry vinegrette salad, fantastic, burrata was slightly seasoned and perectly creamy. The grass fed burger, i should have ordered med-rare cause wow out of this world. Finally Luke chose our dessert, a spin on strawberry shortcake, homemade graham cookie, preserved strawberries and lavender honey icecream that was better than any ice cream ever. I will be returning to experience the dinner menu soon!

Hands down my favorite restaurant in New York. Healthy and delicious food in a gorgeous setting, with great service and funky music. Why oh why can’t every restaurant be like Café Clover and recognize that great food doesn’t have to be at the expense of being nutritious and healthy! You can have both! Café Clover is leading the way and I salute them for it. Go Clover Go!!!

The food was really good however service is mediocre. I got the salad and it was delicious, they have the best chicken sausage I’ve ever had in my entire life. The poached eggs were also deliciousness. Definitely recommend for brunch with friends

I was in between 3 and 4 starts with Café Clover and here are the reasons: Had reservations at 8:45 pm. Party got there on time and wasn’t seated until almost 9:45 … what was the point of even making a reservation !!! Once we got seated they gave us flax seed«Chips» with pea hummus which was very interesting and tasty. Since the party waited so long we were starving and ordered the chick pea hush puppies, burrata, octopus, brussel sprouts to start. Everything was pretty good but the burrata was super tiny and hush puppies lacking some flavor. I really did enjoy the octopus and brussel sprouts though, both very flavorful ! For our mains we tried the salmon, cod, beet salad, and quinoa tagliatelle pasta. The salmon and the the quinoa tagliatelle were the highlights and the reason Café clover gets the fourth star. All in all everything was good, and once we got seated our server was super friendly and tried to get everything out fast since we mentioned we were starving from the beginning. Also, i find it important to note that I ordered a martini here and the olives were SODELICIOUS and fresh. I order many martinis at different venus here in the west village and I must say this place was a highlight in my recent bar visits. I also really liked that they have a lot of healthy options, I would come back and try brunch for sure!

Great atmosphere, sexy west village vibe. Service was fantastic. Now to the food: The complimentary crackers and dip were yummy! Octopus — good Cauliflower«steak” — we had as an appetizer to share. It would not be filling as an entrée. Overall it was ok. The pickled cauliflower on the plate was a nice touch. Sweet potato wrapped cod-fish was excellent! Brussels sprouts– tasty but a little sweeter than I expected. Teff cake– delicious and a «must try». Salmon — delicious! monkfish special — great!

Café Clover, visually stunning, swanky sanctuary in the village. Beyond the visuals most things taste like you are eating props on the set to a play rather than real food. The meal starts with a complimentary gluten free, pepita, flax seed lavash style cracker with hummus/dip. The dip tastes of self-loathing. It’s watery and flavorless. Maybe it was embarrassed to be a a lowly chickpea dip competing with a fancy lavash. It would be better with a lot more olive oil and flavor. The flax lavash is foul. Who actually enjoys the flavor of flax seeds?! Also, because of whatever preparation or lack of preparation, one bite coats your entire tongue in this flax flavor. And, you cannot get it to go away. Appetizers were forgettable. The octopus was sort of ok. It was a bit chewy. My medium rare steak was tough, tough, hard to chew, flavorless tough. This was on top of a tablespoon of an equally uneventful potato purée accompanied by a few crispy bitter asparagus. The side of Brussels were ok. My friend enjoyed the salmon. Although, disclaimer she may have been just off a cleanse or practicing breatharianism that evening — so anything would taste good. The halibut was simple and mild tasting. I didn’t get any coconut or what the point was except maybe as a substitute for butter or cream. Mille cake made of buckwheat was soft but dry and dirt tasting. I’m sure there is some part of the flavor f buckwheat that is good, but Café Clover didn’t find it. The box of chocolates were enjoyable if only for the presentation in a large, elegant wooden box. The contents were ok. Mostly dark chocolates, gelees, nuts. A nice assortment but nothing spectacular. Martinis were perfect and wine was divine. Farm to table is not a literal thing. If you like hippy café /juice bar meets granny’s kasha varnishkes flavor profile at Manhattan fine dining prices in a gorgeous environment then Café Clover is your jam.

More than the food, I liked the open, bright space at Café Clover. You get more space at your table than you would at a typical New York spot. I believe there have been several celebrity sightings here, too. I went for brunch for four and ordered poached farm eggs, which I almost always get for any brunch. It was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. It’s a good for a group brunch.

I had such a pleasant time here catching up with a girlfriend. Reservations were easy to make online(recommended), and we’re really glad we made one, because the restaurant filled up rather quickly after we sat down at 7pm on a weeknight. The menu features a lot of intriguing pairings, I wish I was able to try more of it! I definitely loved the sunchoke soup. If there is anything on this menu that you are not familiar with, GETIT! It’s such a great way to try new ingredients and foods, and for sure you are guaranteed that it will taste amazing. My friend’s salmon entrée was cooked to perfection. I ordered the burger because I was very hungry, and it was so fulfilling and rewarding. The patty was an artful medium rare, melted in my mouth, and paired beautifully with the potato rosemary bun. There’s this feeling that there exists an extra touch/twist on all the menu items here that elevates each dish above its seemingly simple description. I must give a shoutout to our waitress, who did such an excellent job at verbally describing the menu in the most enticing way, and answering our questions with such accurate adjectives! I could hear her talk about food all day :) :)
