Goto/delivery place for crispy Korean fried chicken, great with a bottle of beer on a snowy NY night. Casual dining, big screen TV for watching sports, HH drinks, and small sampling of other Korean food.

If i pay for a condiment please give me enough to use on my meal… And don’t be rude if someone asks for more. These employees sat there and socialized/complained about me asking for more mayo after I paid 50cents for it. They asked for a dollar more!!! Spend your money elsewhere.

My first BonChon experience was here at BonChon on John! All I will say is HARPSNEEDTOPLAYWHENTHEYPRESENTYOUWITHTHOSEWINGS! Just got takeout, did not dine in. We had spicy and non-spicy. I’m in love!

I went in just for some appetizers. Ordered wings– half and half, half garlic and half spicy. Trust me, the spicy ones are really spicy. I liked the Garlic one, really flavorful and were definitely not frozen. But there was nothing really extra ordinary about them. Initially I wanted to order drumsticks but the server told us it usually takes 30 minutes to make them since they make it fresh every time. I like how the server was honest about it but I was really hungry and didn’t want to wait so long even though the wings took almost 20 minutes. The service is definitely slow and the wait is not that worth it.

the food here is AMAZING!!! NOWTHE service I received SUCK! I placed an order gave them my number and address. after an hour I reached out to them only to be told that the delivery guy returned with the food !! he stated I gave him the wrong number which I did not!!! and the delivery guy did not have the common sense to ask our security guard if he knew who ordered. he could have at least asked if he knew who WIll was. food was cold and we did not enjoy the food as the chicken was soft and cold and we refuse to microwave fried chicken. please excuse the typo’s as im pretty pissed right now!!!

Love the chicken strips and pot stickers here. Just a bit of a wait. There is always an after-work crowd. Cheap drinks and eats plus a pretty cool ambiance, definitely worth a visit. Sports fans: TV screens are everywhere, games projected on the wall too.

This place was recommended to me and I really did not like it. I got their famous. Chicken and it was nothing special. The chicken strips were normal and had just a weird sweet sauce on them and I could’ve got them at 7:11. The place was sort of boring and I just don’t get the whole experience.

I have passed this place so many times never knowing what was inside. Now I have made a discovery that may go on for my occasion quick Friday night eats, bonchon! To have a place with its date night ambience, but great choices of beer, and chicken joint Korean fusion style menu items, this is great whether your watching the game with your boys or out with your wife, surprise your boyfriend! We chose to start with the fried shrimp appetizer, how they chose to fry the shrimp we knew it was about to be amazing, you even get broccoli with it! We decided to share a large plate of chicken wings and tenders, half soy garlic half spicy, along with the Kimchi slaw. The wings are so well seasoned and fried perfectly. Every bite is bursting with flavor either way you have gone sauce wise(I will warn that the spicy s SPICY, only get it if you have a hot mouth or you’ll be embarassed). Midway, we had to ask for some Bleu cheese and come to find out they have an array of sauces as well. The kimchi slaw was also very spicy(yeah, we ended up going all out in the spice department), there was no escape, but it was so good. Love this place, returning soon, maybe even today!

Took some newbies for their 1st BonChon experience here and it was embarrassing. I’ve been to multiple locations– CA, MD, and VA and this location was the worst. I swore to them this isn’t the BonChon I know. The chicken was about the same quality as the other places. Friends were impressed by how BonChon’s «spicy» is really spicy. Their kimchi pancake was BLEH. It kind of felt like they were almost out of kimchi so had to portion it out and put tiny pieces in the entire pancake. I felt like I was eating mostly dough. I also had to send it back b/c the ENTIRE bottom was burnt black. When I told the server, she looked a bit stunned and apologized. The replacement was no longer burnt but still barely had any kimchi. I regret not telling them to just take it off our order since the replacement also came at the end of the meal. Ah well. My pork belly bibimcap was also filled with just fat(i love fat) but barely any pork meat. They also didn’t bring out any radish until I asked. The highlight was the fries. They also offer breast strips which isn’t something I’ve seen on other BonChons. The servers were friendly. But yea, compared to other locations–«Meh, I’ve experienced better.»

This place sucks and the owner/manager should be ashamed of himself/herself. We placed an order and they said the delivery time would be 40 minutes, fine. We called after 45 minutes of not receiving the food and they said another 40 minutes. WTF? They then blamed Comic Con on the slow delivery process, which should have been mentioned earlier and not have deceived us with the delivery time. Also, they really need to hire a receptionist who speaks English. The lady on the phone couldn’t understand a word nor communicate properly so instead she just hung up on us.

As a new student at pace I was told by many peers to try the wings at bon chon. I really didn’t expect much but boy was I wrong. They took 20 minutes to get our order out, but the food was literally right off the stove. I got the spixy flavored wings and they were so good! I have to say, probably one of the best wings I’ve ever had! The prices are reasonable especially being in such a nice area. The service was great, all the servers were very attentive and made sure we got everything on time! They only have 3 flavors for the wings. Garlic, half & half, spicy. Will definitely go again. **FYI to all those who love spicy food. The spixy flavor is not THAT spicy.

Confusing service. Before 5 pm, you go up to the counter and order yourself, self service. They serve your food in a tray and you throw it out by yourself, kind of like a fast food joint. After 5 pm, there will be menus on the table and someone will take your order. Food is still amazing. I ordered the scallion pancake and beef bulgogi quesadilla while my friend ordered the chicken bulgogi rice bowl. Unfortunately our order took about half an hour to come out which is ridiculous because the first time I came here, everything came out relatively quickly. The scallion pancakes is still delicious. Eat it before it gets cold and soggy! The bulgogi quesadilla was also pretty bomb and super filling. Overall, a decent place to come for lunch or dinner or just a drink.

Before I went to BonChon I thought the restaurant was actually a fast food joint. FYI — It’s totally not. You can actually get food to go… but you can also sit down at one of the simple black tables and enjoy a meal. The restaurant actually has this cool club vibe to it — neon lighting and all. We got there right before 6pm to a half empty restaurant. Within the next 30 minutes the place was packed(including the bar and takeout counter) and didn’t quiet down at all while we were there. Even with all those people our waitress, who was a doll, checked in on us often. Food came out at different times(i.e. fries came out before chicken) which wasn’t great but we made it work. The seasoned fries are really good. They could have been cooked a few minutes longer but overall I liked the seasoning a lot. Order them! You should also order the chicken strips. For dinner I ordered a medium plate — 10 pieces for $ 14.95 — half spicy, half soy garlic. My first impressions — wow! The crunch on the chicken is amazing.* And the garlic soy sauce?! Soooo good! Its rich and flavorful and had this sweet/sour thing going on. The spicy on the other hand is really spicy, and not like buffalo hot sauce spicy — this has a completely different spin. I didn’t love it… listen to your friends when they tell you the garlic is better. It was sooo good! Yay for BonChon! *So crunchy that even heated up in the oven the next day it’s still crunchy.

I got to try this out at the Downtown festival that had a lot of food vendor options. This spot had a sign saying best korean wings and there was a long line so I felt it was be a good pick. They kept running out of wings but were so quick in getting a new batch in. At one point I decided to just cut the line and get the chicken strips, plus it would be easier to eat at my desk with a knife and fork! The sauce was spicy and garlicky but lacked a little bit of salt for even my taste. Overall I would recommend this spot and go back to try something new.

Korean fried chicken is an interesting combo that I’m super glad occurred! Crispy and juicy, even the drumsticks are so tender. Soy garlic and spicy are both good flavors; I can’t tolerate the spiciness of the spicy flavor though(it does kick in!), so beware! The radish they give you helps the spiciness! I also like the japchae and bibimbap here.

Came here for dinner around 10pm because everything else in FiDi is basically closed. The place wasn’t packed so we were seated quickly but service is so slow. There’s only one waitress working and then once our order was taken it took forever for the food to come out, we waited at least 30 minutes. We got the combo(wings, drums, strips) with half spicy half soy garlic. I thought I could handle the average spicy level, but this was beyond me, half way into a spicy strip my mouth got uncomfortable and I had to wait for it to cool down before I could continue. My boyfriend thought it was okay though so he finished all the spicy ones. I also think getting wings are your best bet cause the drums just don’t get enough flavor. This place feels like a sports bar with all the games playing on the tvs and not like a typical Korean restaurant.

I am going with three stars for the customer service. The staff was helpful given it was my first time ordering at BonChon and offered a better way to make an already pricey fast food meal slightly less pricey. I am going to have to pass on the food. The soy flavor of the wings were decent but the wings seemed very hormonal. Way to pumped up for me. Fried food is a guilty pleasure of mine but this was just like a heart attack in the making. I can’t blame my order choices on them but the chicken and fries made me feel way to guilty. It was somewhat difficult deciphering if I was in a bar or a spot for takeout. There are no clear signs or menus posted to view while you wait to order. My peeps like this place but I think this isn’t for me.

One of my favorite places to eat in FiDi. Get the bulgogi philly cheese steak… it’s the best! They also have really great fried chicken — wings and boneless! The best I have ever had!

Came in Friday night with some girlfriends. Good food but worst service ever. It was so hard getting the Asian waitress to take our order, refill our water and get our check. She acted like she was above serving tables. Maybe it’s time she considered a different job. She made eye contact whenever we flagged her down but would walk right past us without stopping to tell us she’ll be back or asking us what we wanted. The was a group of three that waited half an hour just for menus and decided to leave. The waitress was nonchalant and pushed the chairs in after they got up. For real? Better off getting BonChon at a different location. Avoid this joint!
