Wow!!! the food is soooooo good. So much to choose from and always fresh. 4 stars only because of the long wait to get my order.

Extremely poor customer service and a manager who doesn’t understand how to treat his customers.
I ordered two sandwiches and an iced tea yesterday around lunchtime and when they arrived the sandwiches were soaked in iced tea because the iced tea had not been properly sealed. I spoke with a very nice woman who then had the order remade and sent back out to me. Unfortunately, the second order was made with the incorrect ingredients and I did not want these sandwiches. However, at this time it was nearly 2pm so I just went downstairs to the cafeteria for a quick bite because I was having a busy day at work.
I called the store today and spoke with the manager to explain my situation and I asked that they please send me the two sandwiches I had paid for with the proper ingredients. He refused, telling me the store policy was that I would have to return the other sandwiches in order to receive new ones, which was not possible because I threw them away. I calmly explained that I can’t spend my entire day on the phone with Blake & Todd and had already wasted my afternoon collecting the first two incorrect orders. Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, the 2^nd order came at almost 2pm so by that time I was also pretty hungry. The unsympathetic manager insisted he would not send me anything, despite the fact that I had paid for them and had still not received what I had ordered.
To the manager, I work nearby and used to order frequently, but you won’t receive a cent from me in the future. I hope that saving a few bucks by not sending an order your employees botched was worth it.

This review is basic only at the Manager. She is truly garage. I went to return some food that they got wrong because they mess up my boss order. I went in there nicely and she say what is she supposed to do with this food I say they mess up the order. She continues to argue that my boss order this and then slam the food in the garage and say I don’t go time for this shit then she asked the cook to make the order and continue to have attiude. I told the cook do not bother I don’t need this abuse. So I asked for the money back and she told her workers to remember my face and that I am not allowed to get food there. That is so not classy for manager to do. She need a course of etiquette and know how treat people. By way my boss order food for our whole staff every Friday but not anymore not from here. Change your manager she need to learn some manners.

Shocked at the negative reviews here. I’ve used B&T for many early morning corporate breakfast meetings, lunch meetings, and personal use. They are always on time and food is great and affordable.
Their prosciutto is actually quality prosciutto! Same goes for fresh mozz. Try their chicken consommé soup– AMAZING!!!

I’m posting this after a few incidents with Blake and Todd «Fine» Foods in our office building. There was a long hair in my soup, a rubber band in my coworkers salad, and a staple in a sandwich to name a few. But today a friend of mine ordered meatballs and pasta for lunch from this 7 W 47^th st location. While eating his meal he happened to bite down on a long piece of sharp metal that was IN his meatball. Unacceptable. And to make it worse, when he asked for the Blake & Todd manager to return his call to talk about it, management never got back to him. They didn’t seem to care. There are way too many complaints against them. My office building is located on the same block and we don’t care how convenient it is to eat there, no one in my office will ever eat at Blake & Todd again.

I picked up pizza to go. My husband ate the Barbaque Chicken pizza. He and i ate the exact same thing for lunch at another restaurant but each had a different pizza for dinner. He got food poisoning from that barbaque chicken pizza. 3 hours after he ate it, he threw up 7 times and have diarrhea. I called the restaurant today to let them know. Didn’t expect anything, just wanted them to verify correct handling of chicken for future customers and the lady who answered the phone asked me what i expected her to do? I said the right thing which is make sure the handling of chicken at your restaurant doesn’t get anyone else sick. She said she resented what i just said to her! I said ok Meryl, them let me tell the health department and just filed a complaint. I could have done that from the start but my object was not to be mean, it was just to try to make sure they knew they had a problem however when you get that sort of response, it forces you to do things you might not have done if the restaurant’s customer service would have been appropriate.

Really nice place good service fresh food salads, pizza appetizers etc. I will be back.

Basically come here everyday. Its a great place. The pizza is delicious, so is the pasta. The bagels are amazing!

Sometime we just dont learn do we?
I picked up a slice of banana bread as I was craving some sugar. I got back to my office and cut this up in small pieces to share with my colleagues and it was dry and hard like a rock. Not only that, it also had a stale oil/​butter smell.
Since I was not having it all myself it was gone in no time.
I couldn’t stop myself and called the restaurant to let them know. The cashier who answered the phone said OK Thanks and I will let the manager know and before I could say anything she was gone .I couldn’t help but stare at the handset in disbelief that she had actually hung up on me.

I really dislike writing bad reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. I recently used Blake & Todd Restaurant & Caterers for a meeting in the UPW. While they were very responsive and great at catering to our needs for the order, they completely failed to follow through on the day of the delivery. I ordered the Boardroom Package. It included an assortment of Sandwiches with a Choice of Salad and Pasta. Accompanied with Cookies & Brownies.
They delivered the assortment of sandwiches with salad dressing and forgot the salad and pasta. I called them and they didn’t seem apologetic at all. They explained they forgot and because of our location, they wouldn’t get to us in half hour. Once, they delivered the salad and pasta, I realized they didn’t bring the cookies and brownies! The best part of the meal. Yea… by this point, I didn’t even bother asking for the cookies and brownies. The food wasn’t terrible. Personally, the wraps were too small. I’ve had better. Note, I will not be ordering from them again.

This is really nice and attractive place. The pizza oven is what really gets me. Not only does it warm my slice to the perfect degree but man it looks really elegant. The perfect fit for a food spot right in the Diamond District.
I didn’t like however I was faced with a blunt and dull cashier. When I walked in I went towards the back to order two slices. One of the cooks gave me a receipt for two slices ($ 5.00), $ 2.50 a slice. Before I got my pizza I went to the front to go pay, and my receipt said $ 5.00 and I handed her a $ 5. Before I got to pull at change for tax, she gave me a unpleasant attitude and said «$ 5.42». I said «Yes, I know, tax.». The pizza however tastes great and I like the place.

Their sandwiches are top notch. I usually get different ones from their sandwich and salad bar and they customize it. My favorite is the scrambled egg with tomato and avocado on bialy. The fish at the pasta counter is always fresh and very filling. Service can be a hit or a miss. Their prices are on the higher side. But the quality is exceptional. This is my favorite lunch spot while at work

Very bad. Had several instances when I could have ended up in a hospital with their negligence towards food, equipment and sanitary.
Lets start with them giving me a smoothie that had crushed broken plastic. I felt like perhaps sugar did not dissolve and kept drinking it until I was curious to see what the F am I drinking. Touched it with fingers and it was super small clear like sugar but plastic pieces.
Hey did I mention I was pregnant at that time?
I went absolutely nuts in that place; had the manager have it. And was like are you out of your mind to even offer me another one? I told her she can have one for me.
Salads are always different price. Everyday you can be having the same salad but they will charge you different price.
Overpriced lunches too.
Go to Alice (former Blue Flowers) instead. On the same side across 5^th ave.

Management, you need to go undercover and see for yourself how terrible the breakfast service is.
Agree with the other poster, the guys at the grill mishandle orders in so many ways its intolerable!
I will not be purchasing my breakfast here given the number of options around the neighborhood. Its a pity because the BLT on pretzel roll is pretty dam good!

I go there very often during lunch hours and its always crowded. They definitely serve quality food. Their prices are steep too. Their staff can be ver uncooperative at times. I am a big fan of their eggplant Parmesan with spagetti. I can easily make two mini meals of it.
There aren’t too many good places around here. If you happen to be here, try them. Their food won’t disappoint you. their prices and the staff might.

Favorite place to order weekday dinner delivery when i’m in the office. Food in good quality at reasonably low price compared to other comparable places in midtown.
I’m especially a great fan of their ‘Make your own pasta’ menu. You can choose types of pasta, sauce, and add-​on ingredients as many as you want. Their vodka sauce is pretty good; caesar salad is also recommendable. Many options for hot-​pressed sandwiches as well.

Even though I like their breakfast, I am really annoyed with their customer service. The cashier girl is so careless and always packs the bags untidily. The guys who make breakfast never listen to the order and perpetually make mistakes almost everyday. Also the guy from eggs section is really bad and keeps forgetting the order and keeps asking me to repeat it.
The prices are not cheap comparing to other neighborhood store and you dont get the service that is expected. I am working in the adjacent building and its convenient for me to stop by at there. Its never a pleasant experience dealing with their staff
I wish the owners would stand up and get their staff attitude corrected.

Went here to try their pizza a day after having a great breakfast sandwich.
The pizza was equally as good. The pepperoni mushroom slice was not overly greasy. The balance of sauce, cheese and toppings was just right in my book. The crust was also crispy without crossing over to burnt.
The only thing to remember… if you plan to dine in, you will receive a piece of paper with the prices which you give to the cashier. Once you have paid you return to pick up your slices. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT throw out the receipt you get from the cashier. As I was so told, «No receipt, no pizza.» Lol.
All in all, a good experience here on both days. The food is good. The people behind the counter are hard working, and turn out tasty food… and the place is clean.

I gave the place 3 stars for the delivery the first time I ordered from them simply because it took a very long time to get my food. Last week, I was there in person in the evening. While the place was empty at prime dinner hour of 6 PM, the service was not friendly, but the worse thing were their bathrooms, I seriously almost vomited when I went there, my 4 year old was holding his nose. Bathrooms are a good indicator of how clean the place is and I will NEVER, EVER get food from this place again.
