The best thing about this place is the fresh preparations. The worst thing about this place is the lazy vegetable preparations. They have an amazing kale salad that, while fresh, is full of the kale stems. And, don’t dare get the broccoli add in. It’s 90% stump. I’m not sure what the story is. But, unless you’re buying the salad for your cattle, get ready to spend 20 minutes removing stumps and stems.

Love the décor of this place: lots of wood and greenery. It’s relaxing. The food is a little pricey, but very tasty. I’ll be stopping here again soon.

Confession: Hated Birdbath at first. Walked in, looked at smallish premade sandwiches priced at $ 9 and small salads also priced at $ 9, and walked out.(This happened twice.) But eventually gave it a chance, and realized I was wrong. Here’s the thing — for $ 9, those premade sandwiches are rich and filling and flat-out delicious, pretty much overflowing with cheese and olive oil and butter, which is a good thing imo. Those $ 9 salads? You’d be surprised how much amazing vegetation they can stuff into a purportedly small box. And you can mix and match — go half chicken-kale-caesar, half tomato-jack-cheese-fried-cornbread. Oh also, pay a few bucks more and you’ll get a medium-size salad, which seems maybe 50% larger and is basically a salad brick of doom that will stuff two typical yuppies to the gills. I can’t even fathom what the large size must look like. There’s also excellent iced coffee and fantastic gazpacho, and so overall, you can put together a killer picnic basket on the way to Central Park for like $ 25. Take it from me, you guys: Don’t hate.

The food here is very tasty and it’s pretty affordable. Cookies are great! Delicious and right balance between crispness and chewiness. The café has a great location and is cozy inside. Service is great and you are welcomed by smily happy servers. I also ate chicken kale salad – very refreshing and filling. I’d be happy to return.

Very average. Nothing extremely bad but food is kind of disappointing and expensive(you don’t even know how much it is before paying they don’t label anything).

Inconsistent. I don’t get anything aside from their giant cookies @ $ 3.50 for one, so this review is based on just that. I’ve had my fair share of delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies from birdbath, but this is also my second time getting a stale cookie that is not worth the $ 3.50 price tag. The cookie that is currently sitting in my handbag now is hard as a rock and inedible. Will be trashing at the nearest trash can. Ugh.

Love, love, love! Best chocolate croissant in NYC. Hemp milk seed scone to die for. Delicious raspberry vegan muffin. Coffee is fabulous too. Favorite new coffee/bakery UWS.

I’m a huge fan of this place… most of all for their non-bakery items(although their pretzel croissant is DELISH). I love their kale salad, vegetable options, and their rice and pasta dishes. It’s the perfect neighborhood go-to spot for healthy, fresh, and delicious food. The only major gripe that I have is that the containers of food come in small, medium, and large, and there is a HUGE difference in size between the small and the medium, and barely any difference in price. Either lower the price of the small container or make the small container larger. I usually get the medium, but find that it’s too much food. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place.

Went in for coffee and left totally annoyed. No menu with prices that I could find and I ordered 2 small café lattes that cost $ 8.70. What?! Coffee was only ‘eh’ and I was disappointed to find this new neighborhood spot to be such a rip off. With Joe, Viva la Crêpe and Grandaisy in the area the competition is steep. I won’t be back. Giving them 1 stars which might not be fair since I did not try the food.

Vegan bakery, so there’s no butter for the pretzel croissant but they swore it was great without, and they were right. The chocolate chip cookie is delish. The apple prune coffee cake is too, if a bit mushy. So basically as far as baked goods go, they’re aces. They have fresh juice and iced tea, but no kitchen on the premises. Tea is serendipiTea brand bagged tea. And coffee seems to come in just the plain old coffee variety(that is, no curio pour-overs here) but it was good coffee. No wifi, no menu. And no listed prices, but it was ~$ 14 for a croissant, a cookie, tea, and coffee. Seating is limited(~15 spots split between a window counter, a coffee table, and a sofa) but the space is bright. Service is swell. Four stars for the baked goods, two for the wifi-less space and spare tea and coffee menu. But they call themselves a bakery not a café so I’m judging them as that.
