Besu Salon & Day Spa

I go to different salons for convenience purposes, but any chance I can, I come to Besu. Holly is amazing at what she does and is always good for a story and some laughs. Color is always on point and that curl she does on my hair with the hair brush is unparallelled to any other. What curling iron?! Totally not necessary!

Extremely rude staff. The hair washer made an insulting comment about my size (9 months pregnant) and as I got up and left, explaining what happened, the counter girl couldn’t have cared less and no apology was made.

Ask for Melissa !!! She was amazing. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted. She made small talk and was very welcoming. The wash felt great ! And they seem to really cater to there customers. This was my 1^st time and won’t be my last. Great place !!!

My rating is all about Danielle. I followed her from her last salon and have been a happy, loyal client of hers for the past 5 or so years. I have a lot of hair which can best be controlled by expert razor cuts and texturing techniques that Danielle handles brilliantly. I also love to play with color and her vision and creativity, combined with her talent and skill consistently exceeds my expectations. I am still fawning over the fantastic cut and color she gave me yesterday.

Danielle has been cutting and styling my hair for the past two years and she’s the best stylist I’ve had since I’ve lived in New York. She listens to what I want, but also always makes great suggestions and gives good tips. She’s the best!
In addition, the salon itself is fantastic. Not only does it provide awesome service, it also has a great, stylistic ambiance. They also have a great selection of products (all the Moroccan oil line for a decent price.)
All in all, great service and great stylists!

I had the best Blow-​out EVER at BeSu with Holly Cheema. The entire staff was helpful and friendly accommodating my walkin even while having a packed house with a large wedding party and regular clients. I would defiantly come back here the next time I’m in NewYork.

Two words. Danielle McNicholas. I come from a family of hairdressers so naturally when I moved to NYC it was difficult to commit to trying one, finding one, trusting one (paying for one). I hit the jackpot with Danielle. On a whim I found her and she’s an amazing stylist. She’s NOT afraid to take risks (LOVE that) yet she’s honest and knowledgable in her assessments of my hair. For the first time in my life I woke up one morning and decided what the hell, it’s only hair right? Let’s try a bob (I’m a long haired person for 30 years). She was on board for my transformation — no talking me out of it, and immediately had the creative vision to pull it off… Gave me the best damn style with no regrets. Color always looks amazing, and every time I see her she’s tried a new style on herself. She also listens. Takes what I want, makes SURE she understands, and marries It with her skills to create an awesome finished product. Really love her work, it always comes together… and her prices are fair and reasonable. She’s flexible, down to earth, and always ready to take me somehow at the last minute. Book with her, you WILL NOT be sorry!

I have been getting waxed by Alla for years, she is phenomenal! She cares about her clients, she is very warm and nurturing and is one of the best! Through the years we have become friends and I feel she is part of my family!
Melissa cuts and colors my hair and she rocks! Each hair cut and color is fantastic, Melissa is patient, and kind and is super talented!

I was pleased to find out that the girl that washed my hair once upon a time is no longer working here and I am once again being taken care of my regular girl.
The staff in the reception are also commendable for honoring customers appointments.

I have been seeing Larisa for bikini waxes for about 4 years and won’t go anywhere else! She is the best. Always on time, always with a smile and you’ll be in and out of there before you even know what happened. She uses quality wax with clean strips every time. I also recently visited her for a facial and was equally impressed by her professionalism and the softness of my skin afterward! It was a true «spa» experience. If you are looking for an esthetician you can trust in the Gramercy area, Larisa is you’re girl!

My sister-​in-​law was in town and arrived with damaged over dyed hair. We had a large party to attend that night and I new we need a pro. Marianna corrected the color added highlights, gave her a great cut and sent her back to us looking 10 years younger with a big smile on her face.

I came to get a keratin treatment by Danny and not only did I love my hair, but I also loved the detailed attention from the staff in general. I felt like I was coming to get my hair done by my friend even though I had never met him. The atmosphere is great and the services awesome! Definitely recommend this place.

I have been getting services at Besu for years and my stylist’s name is Melissa. She does a phenomenal job and leaves me happy and my hair perfectly done to my standards each and every time. My last service was a half head of highlights and a cut and I’ve been getting compliments on my hair all week! I highly recommend Besu for a cut, waxing and/​or facial.

I’ve been a Besu customer for several years. Melissa and Alla take excellent care of me and friends and family also frequent this friendly, professional salon.
I’d give it 5 stars – but for the 5% service charge recently added to the tab. I don’t agree with this business practice.

Yesterday, I was heading over to an appointment in the area and was actually an hour early. I saw Besu and decided to walk-​in and get my hair fixed since I wasn’t really feeling it from the Hair Cut I got 2 weeks ago from &Hair Lounge (They’re great if you’re looking for one of those edgy Asian Haircuts).
Anyway, best service, it would’ve been even better if I wasn’t in such a tight time frame. Holly Cheema fixed my hair in 2 seconds flat! Amazing! She even curled it! I’m usually skeptical about curls just because it’s always rolling the dice with my round face.
But I loved it! I’m definitely coming again!!!
