Burgers here are kind of small and aren’t the best you can get in the bronx, go for a wrap. Specifically the birdman mmmmm. And also you can get everything from japanese curry to italian sausages here. Its pricier then an average bronx supermarket but they have cooler varieties.

The title says it all. This is really the«Best Deli» in my neighborhood. They have a huge selection of snacks and treats, EXCEPT for brownies. My boyfriend and I always crave brownies during the weekends. We get really excited to go and pick some up and… alas, no brownie mix! They have all the other mixes in the land but not our beloved brownies. The staff suggests buying the packaged brownies, but, it’s just not the same as putting the processed powder, eggs and vegetable oil and licking the bowl clean behind your boyfriends back ritual. All the guys that work here are really great. The sandwiches are good, they have a really ridiculous selection of drinks, all types of varieties of ice cream Haagen Daas… and more treats. It’s a 24-hour deli which I don’t know if that’s already implied, but I also came here when I was deathly ill and they had all types of medicine for my choosing. Great place. I love having Best Deli around the corner from me!

Best deli is simply the best. As a Fordham student, it’s the most convenient place to go off-campus for sandwiches and groceries. The employees are friendly and the prices are reasonable. The place is very clean, and all the food I’ve had there is great. They have a lot of speciality food items that can be difficult to find elsewhere in the Bronx. Perhaps not the most amazing deli in comparison to Arthur Ave’s offerings, but definitely the most convenient and tastiest place to go for broke Fordham students. Also, it’s open 24 hours and they have Kinder chocolate, so there’s that.

I have ordered food from here twice and both times I have hated it. My most recent order was a cheesesteak. There were so many problems with it. 1. There was barely any cheese. 2. The meat was not steak. It tasted more like ground beef and a dish of hamburger helper. 3. The hero was stale. I will not order from here again.

When I found out a new deli opened up on Fordham Road, my initial reaction was it was going to be just another bodega selling underage college students illegal beer. Yet two weeks into the new school year, I start hearing from my friends about the rave reviews the place was getting, so I had to go there and check it out. Sure enough it wasnt the typical bodega, I was a ctually a really clean grocery store selling everything from specialty foods to deli sandwiches. At noon, the place has a long line as students and workers go get their lunches. I scanned the menuboard, which annoyingly changes screens so fact I can barely study it properly, especially when so many of the sandwiches arent straight forward. In fact, it took me three trips to realize that they had things like philly cheese steak on the menu(which I only know because I found the hidden takeout menus at the register.) This place needs better menu advertising, especially when many of the sandwiches are very detailed. The rueben is probably my favorite sandwich here. Hot corned beef and a good portion of sauerkraut pair well, though sometimes they skimp on the kraut. The philly cheese steak was a very juicy sandwich, and a roll size is filling for lunch. The Southwest BBQ is a bit too saucy and sweet for my liking, but not overcooked steak definately helps. At a price of between $ 4-$ 8 for lunch(assuming one buys a soda), its actually quite good for the area. Just change how they advertise the menu, and this place will be a real winner on Fordham Road.

Prices are very reasonable on all items. I’ve gotten a few deli sandwiches and they’ve been pretty good for the price. The breakfast sandwich«The Illegal» which has guacamole, pepper-jack cheese and jalapeños on a pita is really delicious. They have a wide array of other grocery items including healthier options than normal bodega-style delis in the neighborhood. Everyone working there is really friendly. I made a request on a certain type of chips and they had it in about a week later. Open 24 hours. Con: They have an annoying system of taking sandwich orders one at a time and standing at the grill waiting for it to be done before taking the next customers order. This could really use some improvement, especially when it’s busy. I usually just avoid going in when there is a line there. There are MUCH better deli sandwiches in the neighborhood. You can find those on Unilocal with tons of reviews. However, this deli is opened more often than the alternatives and is also cheaper.
