Managed to escape from work to eat lunch out today and had a great time here. I’m a sucker for outdoor seating(outdoor anything really) and solo dining with a book and the staff was attentive but not overly fretful so I was able to relax and do my thing. I only really looked at the lunch menu but there were a ton of great vegetarian options. I ordered the veggie delight salad and it was so great. Definitely a vegetarian’s salad because it had so much protein(boiled egg, two types of beans and avocado!). There was a light dressing(some kind of oil?) and the alfalfa sprouts on top really pulled it all together-so good! I had it with an acai iced tea which was refreshing but a little sweet for my tastes. They also had a summer salad with chicken that had mango that looked great too. I’ll be back this summer :)

Not many places around LES that are not crowded during wkd brunch hours. Sat for salads and coffee. I liked my summer chicken salad only hoping that the mango would be fresher. They have specialty(flavored) latte, not bad either. $ 20/person tip included, if I was hungry and didn’t want to wait in line for the other restaurants I would go again. PS they also have outdoor seatings

I worked here Memorial Day. They hooked me up with an outlet right away. I ordered a sandwhich and it was really damn good. Big doors open, right off Delancey. Good music. Really nice staff.

Very cool place if you just want to relax and have a beer, glass of wine, coffee, whatever. Great location with nice views, very friendly staff, they’ve got a tv with a game going. Just a great place to chill for a bit — very casual and inviting.

I will never know if this place is good or bad. :/ I’m a foreigner, working on my computer around the world, and it was a great sunny morning while the sun is out and i just thank god i’m not working in an office today. I was looking for a place to work in the sun. I chose this place particularly for it terasses and window that was facing the sun. But when i got there, the waitress asked me if i had a computer and told me I could only work at the bar or at the big table in front of the wall … Saying the owner wants to keep the window table and terasse computer-free.

As someone from the San Francisco Bay Area who moved to the east coast recently, cafes and restaurants with a Northern California/Cal theme are always great! The California spiced latte is so good! And the scones are awesome too!

I was disappointed by the cheap attitude of this restaurant. I have a lot of food allergies due to an autoimmune condition, so eating out can be tricky. I ordered a salad and had to have about half of the ingredients removed. I understand avocado is expensive, so I asked if it would be okay if I had a slice or two on the salad to supplement. The waiter said nothing and when I received my food it had bread(I’m allergic to yeast) on the side and no avocado. I asked again and the guy did that«ooooh shh can’t do that». I ended up paying $ 10 + gratuity for lettuce(not mixed greens which are much higher in nutrition and flavor) shaved carrot and 2 tomato slices and a spoonful of chickpeas. Would have rated 2 stars, but I really appreciated that one employee was attentive and confirmed that chickpeas were okay(I’m allergic to beans). The espresso and the food I did have wasn’t bad, but not good enough to go back.

This place is as good as it gets in a relaxed, casual eatery. After an afternoon of not feeling so well, I strolled to this spot to get their grilled chicken salad, and it filled me up. I especially appreciated the mango and avocado slices in this salad, and the chicken was well seasoned and moist: grilled to perfection. I oftentimes come to Berkli Parc solo, since I don’t always like to eat dinner at my place of residence so I don’t mind coming here independently to read and eat. The servers are so kind in chatting with me and refilling my water when I need it. I like that the interior of this place gets dim and the atmosphere is candelit after 5pm. That doesn’t mean the ambiance gets romantic, but it does adds just the right touch of class to a very cozy place.

Since I was born and grew up in San Francisco, there’s no way I would’ve skipped out on a California-inspired eatery. I appreciate that Berkli Parc is just as great of a place to complete projects on my laptop as it is a place to enjoy a meal with a friend. Their Huevos Rancheros dish is a go-to option for me, since the soft corn tortilla, fried egg, and diced vegetables go nicely with the potatoes. Their Thanksgiving Year-‘Round sandwich is tasty, too, but I got a stomachache afterwards, which is why I go for the Huevos Rancheros now. If you check in here on Unilocal, you get a free scone, and I claimed mine the other day and enjoyed it(an almond scone). I liked its crumbly texture the most, and it went well with the gingerbread latte I enjoyed.

Ordered a latte at the bar on the way in. After about 30 minutes no drink so got up and ordered again, and paid this time. Another 30 minutes pass with no drink, so after an hour passing time, asked for a refund on the way out. Refund was issued, minus the $ 1 tip I’d hopefully proffered to speed things along, with the refund reason«idiot» printed on the receipt. Lovely.

Really really really like this place. Cute little spot for some good coffee and sammiches. Plus they have good HH specials to help you along if that’s more of what’s in need. Friendly bartender, friendly patrons, friendly spot. I like it.

first of all you can never go wrong with wood tables and stools. everyone is so friendly and they totally nailed the playlist. I ordered the avocado toast, the toast itself is a bit harder than I expected but the presentation and flavor is unbeatable. the ginger tea tastes a little funny, but I just ignored it. to me the interior décor just makes up for the disappointment from the tea. the check in offer is rather cute, all my friends rushed to check in and they will just hand them whatever bread or pastry that’s available since they ran out of scone ;)

Used to come here all the time when I worked freelance. Food was always good. Takeout, not so much. Charged me for a Veggie Delight salad with Chicken, but didn’t give me ANY chicken. Also, put dressing on the salad in the takeout box, which made everything soggy. Coworkers have had problems with forgetting orders or not getting items. Figure your kitchen out, Berkli Parc.

I came to watch Cal play Utah in Oct 2015 and had a fantastic time. They had added extra TV’s, the drinks were flowing, and the fans were so spirited! I wish I could have worn my Cal gear like everyone else, but I had come directly from dinner at a fancy restaurant. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again!

Favorite go-to place for a solid, healthy, fresh and filling sandwich. The multigrain bread they use is tasty and hearty. My favorite is the California Club, which comes with a pickle, and I usually get a side of sweet potato fries. Their coffee is just okay, but they make great espressos so I always go with a solid latte. Happy hour is a good deal also on their house beers and wines, but be sure to specify you want the happy hour specials because some of the selections aren’t included. I usually get take out these days, but when I first started coming here, it was to get work done, so the wifi plus happy hour deals kept me me coming! Solid neighborhood choice.

My bestie initially invited me to brunch at Dudleys. But after given a quoted a 40 mins wait and witnessed how crammed the space was, I suggested that we check out Berkli parc down the street. Best decision(thus far) of 2016! Not only was the café welcoming and spacious, we were led to a table right away! Our server/barista, Emily, was beyond attentive and sweet. She took great effort in explaining the menu and in making various recommendations according to our cravings/needs! My bestie and I ultimately ordered a sandwich each(ham and egg, the veggies) and a chai latte. Wished we had known how ginormous the sandwiches were going to be! We literally ate two whole meals in one sitting! The sandwiches were stacked high and fully loaded. Soft yet toasty multi grain bread, fresh avocado slices, meaty tomato, earthy alfalfa sprouts, sweet carrot shreds, soft cream cheese spread, and tangy Asian salad dressing — it was one of the best veggie sandwiches I’ve ever had! Perfect for my eating goal/habit for the new year — healthy, filling, and soooo satisfying! Best part? It was only $ 10 for this beastly sandwich! Way cheaper than what I would had paid and twice the portion I would had gotten at Dudleys! Can’t wait to return to sample the rest of the menu!

Been coming for a few yrs, often with my coworkers and always loved this place… UNTIL today when mark(manager?) wouldn’t let me sit in the empty table in the corner. he said, «if u sit there, then dining customers won’t want to come, so I can’t let u sit there.» I politely asked if I may sit there until it got busy. I generally just order a sandwiche and [many] beers/wines, but that didn’t matter. Mind you, it was 3pm and the place had roughly five patrons and remained that way till 6pm. I order from Berkli about 2−5x/wk and all it takes is that one rub the wrong way. Meanwhile, Leo, Naomi. and team have always be lovely!

as a California native, it’s hilarious to me that this café is entirely dedicated to uc Berkeley. but I’m not complaining because it’s such a sweet location to swing by, grab a cup of joe or a bite to eat and study. I got the California summer salad with a cup of bourbon vanilla latte. the latte was meh. it definitely could’ve been richer for«premium vanilla» as our server declared it was. and the salad was really large — much larger than I had expected for an $ 8 salad. my only gripe is that it was served in a bowl and so all the dressing sunk to the bottle rendering the last ¼ of my salad inedible and soggy. they give so much grilled chicken I ended up not finishing everything either. but the overall atmosphere is great and I could see why people would want to come to this place with wifi to study for an afternoon!

Solid Cal alumni café bar. Because barcafe just sounds wrong. On any given day or night of a given Cal game, you can expect a packed house. In fact if you arrive after the game starts, you can count on there being a bouncer, who will ask you if you are a Cal alumni before allowing you to enter. Don’t worry, we also love any one who’s willing to root for Cal. Great game day menu. I highly recommend the beef sliders. Your stomach will thank me. During the summer/early fall, they even offer coconut water from a REAL coconut. What??? Amazing pumpkin lattes, although all the lattes are legit and are not too sweet. Big TV’s. Solid customer service. What more could you ask for? Only suggestions are somehow figure out how to import Triple Rock’s Monkey Head, host a Beat the Clock alumni event, bring back the I Oski NY shirt, and lastly, could you add the pumpkin pancakes to the afternoon/evening menu?

I came here on a nice day for the sole purpose of coffee and chatting. The problem with chatting is they have loud music inside — really not ideal. The good thing was that the outdoor seating was nice and quiet. They have all your standard coffee bar options, as well as a few unique ones. I had a California style latte, which had a hint of chilies in it. I thought it would be weird, but it was actually quite nice! I looked at their brunch fair, and I would like to come back and try it next time.

This place had all of the makings to be a frequent Java stop for me. Cutely decorated, some nuances in their menu, but the staff just completely ruined it for me. One specific example(there were a few things) — I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable when one of the staff members gets on the phone right in front of me and is clearly pissed, slams the phone down really hard, hangs up and starts swearing. Mind you, this is not discreet and clearly has no qualms about how he is affecting those around him. I understand having a bad day, but this felt so off-putting that it made me not want to come back. In the description for this page, it lists customer service as something they take seriously, but I don’t think everyone there got that memo. I gave them two stars because what I ordered was good, but with so many cafes in the city, it doesn’t take much to find another spot.

ESPN running on both TV’s, upbeat music, a west coast coffee vibe… Great place to stop in for the afternoon. Berkli’s has plenty of seating for café work lovers as well as plenty of bottled wine and beer to kick off your post-workday relaxation. The real allure of Berkli’s for me stems from the large bay windows, grainy wooden floors and walls, and the seasonally adjusted décor. To date I’ve only tried the pumpkin spiced latte(7⁄10), but look forward to trying the bourbon latte as well as some of their sandwiches and salads. Update to come soon! Go Bears!

I came here with a girlfriend for brunch. I was sooooo tempted to get a breakfast sandwich(with bacon of course!) and a mimosa… but instead, I got the apple walnut salad and fresh coconut drink. The salad was huge! The chicken in the salad was NOT dry(VERY important) and came with bread. It was a great healthy choice for a Saturday brunch! There are plenty of seats inside; therefore, the wait time was short. There were people in groups but also those that stayed individually on their computers for a while, like a café. This place had a café, lunch, bar feel all mixed together, which was actually pretty nice. My friend and I stayed for quite a bit, but they didn’t rush us out with a check. Thank you!

Recently tried the Summer Salad and it changed my life. Wow. It is SUCH a great salad. Avocado is perfectly ripe, the grilled chicken is seasoned so nicely, the combination of flavors and textures made this a winner. Plus, GOBEARS!

My first afternoon here, I was informed that they were closing early, due to a private engagement. Cool. Just a beer then. Full Sail. Smooth. Naomi, the Bartender was cool. Her partner, I did not catch his name, because he had to somersault over the bar and dart outside. He prevented some old white guy from taking a crap in their plant holders. This is mid-afternoon. Yes the sun was still out. But not on those hind parts. It was Pluto white. Judo flip. Chop. Chop. Chop. Yo, I had to come back the next day… It wasn’t as dramatic. There were different bartenders. And a whole lotta women customers. The super sexy scholar athletic types with dem purdy smiles…*sigh* The music was very 60’s, today, because I was so lip syncing the Doors and Bad Company while waiting for a Golden Bear sandwich and a California Latte. Both were dee-lish!!! The Roast Beef sandwich was a good chompin’ size. The multigrain bread was a beaut! The Cali Latte was a ‘cinniminny’ *yes new word* complex treat. The pickle spear needed Viagra, though.
I got some writing work done there. And ended my time floating on Full Sail beer. This bar is so out of my way, and now it is on my rotation. The staff meet/greet, check-in, and give space. The owner was chillin’ there. No one seemed rigid or robotic. The vibe is chill. The food and drink are boss. It’s a keeper.

A place designed with purpose. Great easy to get to and easy to spot location! I love the LES but let’s be honest with so many restaurant, cafés, and places congested into small area, I frequently have walked by some destinations not realizing I missed it. With Berkli I did not suffer this fate. Arriving at this large venue located on the corner of Delancy and … you will not miss the beautifully detailed woodwork lining the exterior. I loved that it had huge windows which allowed for massive amounts of sun to pour in. I chose this location to have a business meeting because Unilocal reviewers listed the free WiFi as a perk. I’m glad I did because once I arrived I was impressed by the balanced flow of a place that had a designated section for each visitors purpose. No I’m not talking about VIP area for ballers… although.. it’s more like a long functional wood table(mighty details with simple finishes) dedicated to a laptop users. An area for dining only, which kept work and nom separate.(Which is perfect for a workaholic like myself who gets caught up eating through meetings all the time) and a bar that allows any activity of your choosing, which includes an array of wine, foods, coffee, and my favorite strawberry lemonade! The only flaw… and I use that word lightly, is that the WiFi was a bit slow. .with loading high resolution photos which can tax any WiFi line. The energy here is mellow with focus. The staff is super friendly and not hovering over you to order and get out. Which surprisingly does not encourage ppl to just hang out. Super productive vibe!

Berkli Parc… how do I love thee. Let me count the Unilocaly ways. Is it your: –Everyday happy hour from 4−8p? -$ 2 Taco Tuesdays? –Fresh salad and grilled sandwich options –Highly recommend: Summer Chicken Salad(with pulled chicken instead of grilled); the BLTA(A for avocado) on their one of a kind grilled multigrain bread –Daily soup/sandwich specials that always please –Delicious coffee, complete with house specialities like the Bourbon Latte and the Strawberry Fields –Free wi-fi(!) –Great, friendly staff –Awesome music rotation, ranging from blues to electro –Big love for Berkeley, CA ?? Nay ! It’s none of these and all of these ! Berkli Parc is my go to for take out, dine in, coffee, cider, Cal game watching and everything else you could want from your local café-restaurant-wine bar. Five stars.
