I went to this BeBe store prior to meeting a friend for dinner at Gyu-Kaku Midtown(they are literally right beside each other) and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. I usually do not shop at BeBe because I can never seem to find anything worth the money. However, I walked into this store and the selection seemed completely different from what I was use to from BeBe. The shoe selection was more extensive and the variety of clothing was more than just club dresses! I really enjoyed this location, the size of the store was small but comfortable.

This store and the rest of them need to go out of business. Their clothes are overpriced and poorly made. I was sold a garment with stains and holes and when I went back to return it the manager wouldn’t help me. Real ly? Thank you, customer service. Sad thing is, this isn’t the first time this happened. Definitely should’ve learned my lesson six months ago when I was sold a dress with faulty seams. Smh. Only reason I run in here sometimes is when I’m in a rush and have a girls night(store is around the corner from my job). Anyways, ladies be aware. This store and the others are crooks. Get your club and gaudy attire elsewhere that respects their customers. Not worth the headache. This is the last time they pull a fast one on me.

Need a hot dress? Bebe has it! I have bought a lot of party dresses from Bebe among the years, and this location has a great selection. I like their dresses for a night out on the town, but the dresses that they deem appropriate for work seem too sexy and form-fitting to be okay to wear in the office. Their party dresses, for the most part, are very flattering. The prices range from $ 69 – 130 on average, and they rarely have good sales. They have a lot of window displays, so I always have to restrain myself from going in every week since I walk past it all the time when coming home from work. The store space is not extremely big, but they always seem to have extra racks of dresses(if you go straight when you enter), so they are always well stocked. The employees that work here typically leave me to my self, which I like for the most part because I like to shop in peace without people badgering me. However, on the flipside, they aren’t very knowledgeable. They once had signs all over their store promoting a discount on dresses, and when I went to pay for my dress, the cashier didn’t take anything off, so I asked if it applied. She had to confirm with another employee because she didn’t even know a promotion was going on. They were severely lacking for the 2012NYC Fashion Night Out though. A tray of Pepperidge Farm cookies(with flies swarming around) and mini bottles of water? I don’t think so.

you know when you have a slow day at work and you just wanna get out of your cube? this is one of the places I go. the store is small, but they usually have a decent selection. I like Bebe, because I have curves, and their stuff fits me a lot of times. so why only two stars? last time i went in, i saw a coat i liked. they did not have my size in stock, or any other store in Manhattan. the sales rep offered me to order it from out of state. for whatever reason, they did not give me option of having the coat delivered to the store, but i had to get it delivered to my hours. they charged me $ 15 shipping and said the coat would arrive in 2 – 4 business days. one week later the coat was not there. after i called the store refused to give me a refund, and said the coat is on it’s way from Utah. 2 weeks later — the coat is still there. this time the person who answered i called was pretty helpful. she called the store in utah(or w/ev it was). after we found out the coat was still not shipped out, she offered to overnight it. she did not refund my coat, but at least i got the refund on the shipping fee. i was fierce! so almost 3 weeks later the coat has finally arrived. i had full intention to go back to the store and return the coat, BUT… it happened to fit kinda amazingly, so I am keeping it(can’t watch emoticon face) What I learned from this experience? do not order stuff to get delivered form your apartment to the Bebe stores…

The store manager here is extremely rude and uptight. I am a Bebe VIP because I spend lot of money here(they make XXS sizes). I went to EXCHANGE a dress(WITHTAGS!) because the zipper was getting stuck. She claimed I wore the dress. I did not(and why would I exchange it then??). I told her I was a frequent customer there and it was not worn. There were no deodorant or make up marks. She said the front had a small snag. I didn’t even notice it when I bought it. She refused to exchange it and really embarrassed me. Not one to cause a scene, I called customer service. It’s been like 2 months. Haven’t heard back. I even went to get the zipper fixed at my great tailor and he said he’d have to rip apart the whole dress because the zipper is that bad. So here is the one star for ya on Unilocal, ladies. Not only EXTREMELY rude, bad customer service, but bad quality now. I’d rather buy XS elsewhere and take it in. Bad boo!

So, so overpriced and the majority of the stuff in there looks like you should be wearing it working the corner. I admit, I have bought a silk blouse or two from there years ago, when they are on sale that is. The cool logo shirts that used to be the«it» thing to wear when I was in high school are now replaced with $ 70 dollar plus skin tight, short sleeve tops with see threw panels, lace, funky buttons, fur or necklines where the goods will be hanging out for all to see. And their workwear. is it really geared towards the workplace? Please tell me not. I find that 99% of their clothes are tacky trendy if that’s a style. I would rather go to forever 21 and buy the same style shirt for 20 dollars knowing that within a few months it will be so «out of style»…

This is the kind of clothing you wear if you want to get some nookie action. It’s like daytime lingerie. They sell suits here. Don’t know why, it’s certainly not making anyone look responsible. Just slutty. And I like it. For some reason, the dressing area faces big open windows viewable from the street. People just kind of peer in to look at you when you come out to see yourself in the communal mirror. I felt like a goldfish. Word of caution about this location: the sales people are aggressive. I went in to buy a dress. I came out with the dress, plus tops, jewelry and a pair of shoes. Pushover.

Lucky for me I can always run over here in a «need an outfit» crunch time and usual leave satsified. The sales staff is helpful and not overly«can I help you? can I help you? you need something? do-ya? do-ya? do-ya?» which always makes shopping a pleasure. And since I’m usually there freaking out alone in the dressing room with no friends by my side, on numerous occasions I’ve asked the help from the fitting-room girl(which is yes, kinda weird) and received good advice. Possibly one of my favorite stores. A bit expensive, but worth it for the pieces you come out with.
