Augustin’s Waffles Cart

i thought i hit the jackpot when i saw this person.
i thought there was only ONE waffle cart.
suuuuuper de duuuuuper sweeeeeet
i can take sweet but this is like diabetes sweet
ehhh… i miss out.
4 dollars isnt worth trying.

Terrible! Waffles are hard and tiny. Not worth the $ 7. Still ate it bc it was drenched in nutella. Although it stuck to the wax paper and I had to peel it off… Service was terrible as well. Woman with the tattoos and black hair is deaf and nasty.

Not great. I tried a piece of my friend’s waffle bc she was really in the mood for one and it didn’t seem cooked through or hot when she got it, even though it came right off the waffle iron!
Meh! Wafels and Dinges all the way!

The cart is by my work place now. It’s on Broadway between 31^st and 32^nd Street. I finally decided to give it a try after walking by it two days in a row.
Food: in the words of Unilocal,«meh.» The waffle itself was a bit too soft and chewy for my tastes. I like crunchy «Belgian Style» waffles.
Service: the reason this got a second star. She was so nice! But at $ 4 per waffle, she’s definitely making more than I am doing. Her returns must be through the roof.
There are better places for this price.

While shopping in SoHo, a pleasant break and much needed sugar kick. I had the #5 which is simply waffle with Nutella. They had all the different options printed, labeled, and prices were listed alongside, so there was no room for any confusion as some others have had in the past.
It was nothing special, but it wasn’t bad — and if you’re around and chance upon it, feel like a waffle, don’t hold back. I wouldn’t recommend hunting them down though.

This crap was awful. The waffle was so stale and hard, I could not finish it. Basically paid $ 7 for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. AVOID this place!
Wafels & Dinges in front of Central Park is the way to go.

I was hoping my experience would be an exception but it looks like Jannie experienced the same scam.
The waffe itself was good, but small. The texture is a little more dense than I’d like in a Belgian Waffle, but the toppings are fresh.
The reason why they only earned 1 star in my eyes: nothing annoys me more than dishonesty. They tried to change the price of their waffles on us the same way they did to Jannie below. Their waffle prices were clearly labeled to be $ 6 for a waffle with unlimited topics. The woman who took our money asked for 7. We asked her why and pointed to her sign and after some mumbling, went to give us back a dollar in change. Our guess is that they were betting that customers waiting in the heat and chaos of NYC streets would not check their labeled prices, but we did. Looks like they do this bait and switch.
If you do get the waffles from them, make sure they charge you for the right price. The people who run the cart can’t be trusted.

Walked passed this place and it smelled and looked great. The pictures of the items they sold were displayed on the top, so I got lured into ordering a waffle with strawberries, chocolate drizzle, and whipped cream. The waffle didn’t tastes fresh and was kinda hard. Just wasn’t up to par with the pictures.

I spoted this new waffle stand. and i told myself i have to try it out… and of course i did! I got the waffle with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The packaging of the waffle is not very pretty. but the waffle itself was actually pretty good… not too sweet, not too heavy. it was just about right. I think the toppings sort of ruined the original flavor of the waffle… and i cant believe i just said that… lol…
Service was ok… i think the lady that works there. werent that nice to my friends… which could be a total turn off… if you are newly opend. you should be nicer…
