Atomic Wings – Upper East

This is the most disgusting food I have ever ordered with a groupon. The chicken wings were wings mixed with legs in a putrid sauce. The waffle fries were soggy and so was the onions. Never order from this place it is the worst in all of my reviews. They moved to the GAF bar which is a mistake for that place. I am trying to rehabilitate the food — I washed the sauce off the wings and will reheat the onions and fries — to be continued.

THE WORST! I ordered from them years ago and always had a great experience. Everything was nicely boxed and they gave you plenty of blue cheese, celery, etc. I placed my order with them this past weekend with the young lady over the phone and when my food arrived the tin containers were completely smashed up, my sandwich was wrong and when I asked for extra blue cheese I received one small cup and it was soupy and I was scared to eat it. I threw everything away accept for the diet coke. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND COMPLETLEY FRUSTRATING.

Place an order at 3pm Super Bowl Sunday to be delivered at 7pm. Figured I had to get my order in early. Well, 7pm rolled around, no wings. 50 minutes later, still no wings, and I can’t reach the place, nor can Eat24, who I placed the order through. So now I need to place a new order for wings at almost 8pm on Super Bowl Sunday. Good luck with that. Atomic wings are generally good, but this location sucks. I’d give it 0 stars if I could. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

These people are unprofessional, I have been waiting 2 hours and no wings. I have been calling for the past hours and can’t they can’t even answer the phone. Let’s boycott these unreliable people.

Ate here on Tuesday night. Had their cheesesteak with swiss and mushrooms. The bread was soft and the flavor of the steak was great. Took some wings, sweet potato waffle fries and their mac and cheese to go. My family enjoyed every single thing when I got home. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

This is a great place. It’s really clean, the people are SO FRIENDLY, and the food is good. For about ten dollars you get 6 decent sized wings, a (un)healthy portion of waffle fries and a drink. Both the wings and fries are crispy and tasty. I like the buffalo flavor, but my personal favorite is the barbecue. The portions are not small, and I have yet to eat the whole meal in one sitting. The wings are great re-​heated in the toaster oven the next day!
Also, check them out for lunch, because you get a deal.

I’ve only eaten here once but from my experience, the food was very well made. The prices are ok, wish they would give you more for your buck though.

When I first moved to the neighborhood, I stopped here as a break in the midst of unpacking. Gross! 3 years later, it still hasn’t been worth it.
I’m not expecting a James Beard award winning piece of chicken here, but something that tastes… well…edible. I’ve heard it’s under new management but I might be too scarred to try it again.

Terrible! I placed an order for delivery, 3hr after I called to find out that they didn’t have any wings left. Worst of all is the did even let me know until I called!

The wings here are the definition of average. Not bad but nothing to come back for. Compared to other wing places, the wings here are a little harder and drier. They are also pretty small and as a result, are overpriced. Good wing flavor selection though and very good waffle fries. This place was also remodeled not too long ago and is extremely clean inside.

Don’t waste your money, the wings are just ok. Overall the food was just yucky. Seriously overpriced for almost inedible food — salty smothered fries, bland mac and cheese, not sure what was in the coleslaw, blue cheese was watered down.

DISGUSTINGGGGGGGGG. It was winter, we found a groupon and wow did it suck. There was a portable heater on the window still area where people were supposed to eat. The staff wore jackets and hats inside. The food sucked, The fries were decent. Never ever going back so gross.

A few days after eating at Atomic Wings I was contacted by the owner. It’s not every day the owner will reach out to customers that have a bad experience so I really appreciated this. It showed that he really cares about his customers and their experience and I decided to give it another try. I am happy to report that the second time around my experience was much better. Food was great and order was 100% correct.

I ordered wings from them for the Super Bowl. Everything came within a reasonable time and the food was still hot. Probably the only highlight about that night.
It seems that this place is under new management. There are new people working there and there is new décor. I’ll definitely keep coming here!!!

So every year I have a Super Bowl party. I look forward to it every year. However this year my lovely girlfriend decided we would trek all the way to the Upper east side to attend one of her friends Super Bowl party. Rather her friends Super Bowl gathering. Anyway I obliged because let’s face it I had no choice.
Two days before my girlfriend decides to tell me Catherine our host asked if we can bring food. When I asked what kind of food thinking maybe chips or something small nope it was recommended we bring wings. How do you throw a party without wings? Anyway I scrambled to search where I could get wings near by. I called a few bars to see their prices and then came across this Atomic wings location.
I read some of the reviews and was wary but I really didn’t have much choice. I called up the day before to pre-​order. I decided to pick it up on the way. I got there at around 5:30 thinking I would encounter some issues. I was pleasantly surprised. My order was there waiting for me. It was hot and the smell was quite delightful. The staff was really polite and funny. They were very accommodating and when my girlfriend saw that they had a burger on the menu she ordered one to my frustration. It was prepared quickly. After hearing me complain about being dragged to this Super Bowl party the worker was so nice not only was he joking around with me but he helped me carry my order to the car once completed so I wouldn’t miss any of the game.
On to the food. I was delightfully surprised again. The waffle fries are fantastic. The wings were very fresh and delightful. To say the least this was definitely the highlight of my night. Followed by the half time show. I’ll definitely go back.

This is the third time I am coming to this location and every time I come I get the same horrible service. The short Spanish girl is extremely rude. I greeted her with a «hello, how are you?» And I got a blank state in return and when I was handed my change from my payment I politely said «thank you «and still I got no response from her. Prior to ordering, when I walked in she was sitting on the benches playing with her her phone with her feet on the seat that I would eventually sit on. And just to add that after I placed my order she walked away and got right back on her phone.
Now on to the food. The reason I love coming here is because I love their wings. I always get the garlic Parmesan wings with waffle fries and water. On this particular visit my order was messed up I ordered boneless but I received wings wings with bones. I was offered no apology just a quick snatch of my food of the table and returned. All in all the service sucks but the food is good.

I ordered from here last night because I was craving wings after receiving their «new» menu under my door. The only plus was that they arrived quick. I got the combo with 5 regular and 5 boneless. The boneless ones weren’t edible. I legit couldn’t bite through it and had to throw them out because I don’t think they were fully cooked. The regular wings were soggy and also gross.
After reading all of these reviews where the wings didn’t come, I wish I was so lucky!!!
Just a quick update — 8 months after posting my initial review, I just received an email from the owner offering me 25% off my next purchase. Ummmm, no thank you. But I responded and he offered me a free meal, so I’ll consider going back to see if they’ve improved.

I don’t write a lot of one star reviews, but Atomic really deserves it. The wings I had here were the worst I’ve had anywhere.
Wings should be crispy, but my wings from Atomic weren’t crispy at all. When they arrived, I actually thought they were baked (they weren’t). Atomic clearly doesn’t know about the double fry method — the key to good crispy wings.
The blue cheese sauce was practically flavorless, with almost no pungent or tangy flavor and the laughably small pieces of carrot and celery they supplied were old and dried out (see my picture).
Lastly, I ordered the «Abusive» level of hot and they were barely spicy at all. Compared to other decent wings places, they were mild to medium, at best. In my mind, something called «Abusive» should at least make my tongue numb with yummy, spicy flavor. No such luck at Atomic.
I don’t know where else you can get wings in this part of the city, but don’t bother with Atomic. Their wings failed on every level.

The first time I ever had Atomic Wings was down at the Blue Room on Second and 60^th. I was blown away by how good they were. Easily the best wings I had ever had. Unfortunately, Blue Room was a bit too far from my girlfriend’s place on 89^th Street, so I never quite made it back to the Blue Room.
Later, I learned that they were also available at Bar Coastal at 78^th and 1^st. This was a much more reasonable location for me, so we began to have them once or twice a year.
Now they have a location at 2^nd and 94^th Street. I couldn’t be happier. Picked up wings from here for the first time tonight. They were as delicious as ever. I am a huge fan of their nuclear wings & waffle fries.
Only disappointment from me is that unlike the Blue Room and Bar Coastal locations, this version of Atomic Wings is a stand alone branch rather than being located within a bar. I’ll probably continue to travel down to Bar Coastal when I have a beer and wings fix. But for take out — this will be my place!

This place recently opened right near my apartment, so I was super excited.
I had previously had Atomic Wings at Bar Coastal on 78^th St, which I liked. The wings were pretty decent, but I personally didn’t think they were THAT special. I decided to try their boneless.
My brother and I decided to order pick-​up here last night. We ordered the boneless wings combo meals with waffle fries. He got the chipotle BBQ and I got the garlic parmesan. We also ordered the extreme nachos starter.
We picked up the food and dug in. The nachos were HUGE! I guess it made sense for the price we paid. The wings came with decent portions of fries and wings (but mine was considerably smaller in portion for some reason, even though I didn’t really finish it). The nachos were pretty loaded and came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. AS with all nachos though, the few bottom chips didn’t get much toppings on them, but we had a lot of sour cream and guacamole left over to dip them in. The nachos were pretty good. We scarfed the whole thing down.
The garlic parmesan boneless wings were pretty good. The garlic parmesan sauce had a nice spicy kick to them, which made them better than other garlic parmesan wings I’ve had. I also tried my brother’s chipotle BBQ. It was a little bit too sweet for me, but he seemed to like them. The fries were really crispy and yum and they gave more than I was expecting.
Overall, this was a pretty good meal. Definitely going to be a regular dining option for me.
