Great assortment of cocktails with creative ways of flavoring the vodka. It is a little cramped but it has a nice cozy feel overall.

We showed up for lunch time 2pm and when we sat down, my girlfriend got a brunch menu and I got lunch menu. We didn’t know Russian food so I asked a few questions before I ordered beef made with wine. My girlfriend asked for Russian Herring. Its not a cooked fish, its like raw, what we didn’t know and complained about it to waitress. She didn’t eat the Russian herring and waitress suggested salmon. When she got the salmon after first cut she saw it’s totally raw in the middle. We asked for the check and they charged us for but mine dish and the untouched Russian herring. Btw, all the food seemed to be prepared by microwave. Terrible experience.

Another winner by the Anyway Café team. As always, I was here for the great Jennifer Jade Ledesna. This place is smaller than the others, but has a cute outdoor front patio and a very cozy interior. They have really done a lot with such a small space. Here, you can feel up close and personal with every performer. Don’t forget to try their absinthe. I’m not crazy about the taste, but the preparation is worth the money spent!

I am a huge fan! Food and drinks are good. Owners are super friendly. Sometime the Russian owner sings Edith Piaf which is kind of funny. Eastern European beers are great too. The only reason why I am not putting a 5⁄5 it is because I always got mosquitoes bites when I’m on the patio. Maybe they should put some special candles. I will definitely come back very often with my friends hehe

What a hidden gem. A friend of mine and I were looking for a cute outdoor space to drink on a Sunday, and stumbled into Anyway Café. Their outdoor seating is limited, only three tables or so, but my friend and I went on off hours and had the place to ourselves. The tiny patio was covered in flower petals which really added to the ambiance. Any type of infused vodka that you could ever want to try is available at Anyway Café. My friend tried their bloody mary, made with beet infused vodka, which was out of this world, and I ordered their vodka version of a mojito which was also solid. The drinks are a little bit on the pricer side — around $ 12 a cocktail. We didn’t try their food, but the menu looked like it had a decent selection of small bites. My only complaint was that they were cash only, which was only noted by a very small sign placed way in the back of the space. Make sure you bring your dollars!

I went here around 11pm on a Friday and sat out on their small front patio, and had a great time! A Spanish band was playing classic songs and a few people were dancing. The indoor décor was adorable, with palms on the ceiling, antique mirrors & couches, and dim yellow lighting. Out on the patio, there were draped awnings above the 3 tables to provide shade during the day, which kind of made it feel like we were under a low tent — cozy! The seating outside isn’t the most comfortable(the bench is small and it feels a bit cramped) but it was a gorgeous night so we didn’t mind. We split the chicken stroganoff between 3 people — delicious, like a homemade meal. I’ve got to come back to try their savory crepes — they looked so good! Now, libations: I had the madam padam and it was great — reminded me of a blueberry mojito(because of the mint, I guess). They had an extensive selection of infused vodkas and that seemed to be what most people were drinking. The service was friendly and fast, even though the place was packed. Live music every night of the week, cozy décor, friendly service, and delicious food & drink — what more could you want?

I wish I could give this place a million stars! I have never tried their food, but their drinks are good and have a good amount of alcohol. Their decoration is old, and in the summer all doors are open so even though you sit inside you dont feel closed. I like the bartenders, Im a regular so I already know them by name. Everyday there is live music after 9:00 pm. Some bands are good, others are blah. Its a hidden spot, but perfectly located right out the neck road station so my stop before going home. I love this bar.

This place is great! Small, intimate, yet gets lively and fun when the live music starts. I got the lamb and potatoes. It was good, but not great. The desert crepes were excellent though, I could eat those all day long and start up all over again the next day. In my opinion, this place is more about the atmosphere. Stick around and have drinks after the meal — you’re sure to have a good time!

I love this place! It reminds me a lot of Paris. It’s kinda a hidden gem in the village and it’s perfect that way. Never over crowded. They serve food late till like 1am during the week and the food is incredible! My favorite are the Brie & green apple fritters, the chicken stroganoff w mashed potatoes and the chicken and herb crepes. The also have the real kinda Absinthe that you’ll get in Europe. It’s perfect for date night. It’s romantic and they have live music. Service is on point and the owner Oxanna is very sweet. They also make drinks that are not on the menu. Try the sparkling rose(brut) with bitters. Perfect in the summer!

Decent food, ok drinks and terrible service. A waitress who does not have any people skills whatsoever and a «manager» who has no answers, just shrugs. The band was the one highlight to the place. Worth listening to again. However, no way I am going back to Anyway café again.

Hidden gem. Anyway Café extremely pleasant, we had avocado salad, beet salad, brie and apple and the amazing lady allowed us to try their home made chicken liver pâté. Everything was delightful. This was washed down with the best Russian Infused Vodka Martinis I have had in the city.

SUCH an amazing bar! I’m so glad we came here on Saturday night! There was this really random/wonderful/fun mix of a guy singing opera and a gypsy-type band switching off to perform beautiful music. It was really just a bonus that the drinks were amazing– you have to order the Madam Padam and the Katherine the Great! So yummy! haha but be prepared to be sprayed with rose water or something(it goes with your drink order). It will be strange at first, but the more you drink, the more you’ll love it. Just go with it ;) Great venue, great vibes, yummy drinks, and incredible live music! If I lived in NYC, I would probably live here!

It’s cramped. I’ve seen them squeeze a 6-top into a table fit for two. And more than once I’ve had to get extremely creative with my exit from the wall side of the table.(Thank god for yoga.) But somehow this adds to the charm of what feels like a little hideout in the East Village. There’s live music most nights, and you’ll find one of the best deals on infused vodkas in town.(I always get the dill. And the horseradish, when I need to put a little hair on my chest.) It’s the kind of unique spot that keeps this city great.

Boy, where to begin. This has become my favorite hangout spot. The infused vodka’s are exceptional. Lychee is my favorite, but they’re all great. It’s cozy, intimate and I love how it quickly starts feeling like a community. The live music, artist interaction combined with such a small space, brings people together somehow. Every other Saturday there is a Russian Gypsy band and it is a blast to see them perform. Love it!!! Let’s not leave out the food, tho I go there for drinks mainly. I have tried the Peasant Style Beef, Chicken Stroganoff, Potato Pancake and the Beet Salad. All very good. The beet salad sometimes is very spicy, which I don’t like but put some olive oil on it and it’s fixed! Potato Pancake looked so good that I HAD to try, tho it has gluten in it. Those who are severely allergic, do not eat. My allergies are minor, I only feel sick for few days. It was worth it!

Super intimate and cozy spot for great, no-cover live music. They have entertainment every single night usually from around 9pm to midnight. I’ve seen artists ranging from rock to samba to jazz, and they’re usually quite good. What’s great about this place is the exceptionally cozy atmosphere. It’s equally perfect for a date or for a small, intimate group of friends. Their cocktails pack a punch while still being drinkable. I’m partial to the Katherine the Great, if only for the theatrics you get when they spray both you and the cocktail with rosewater. Haven’t tried the food yet but it looks amazing. Overall, this place always makes me feel at home; come here for a magical vibe and great live music.

Only came here for drinks so that what I am giving it 3 stars for. I was very surprised when I walked in because it is not what I was expecting, but in a good way. The ambiance is very warm and I would say romantic. The restaurant is dimly lit and the music not loud that you can here each other talk If you are looking for a date spot, this is definitely a good choice. It is also a plus because they have live music playing when I went on a Saturday night. The bartender was very sweet and accommodating, but unfortunately the drink I got was not strong and tasted like juice. I got a tequila sunrise which was expensive especially in the middle of Gravesend, I just don’t get it. If it was at least nicely made, I would have no complaint. I might come back here for food, but not the drinks.

Cash Only!!! We came here to see a performance of a band. Pretty cute place. I can’t review the food, only had drinks. It’s a bit small but cozy. The lychee caprihlana was so yummy. I had 3 of those so I was quite happy. This is a date place as it’s very mellow and chill.

What an adorable little place :) I recommend for a cozy date spot. *note: Do not sit on left side of door going in, lots of bugs flying about. Got a few mosquito bites :( Definitely go sit inside, and look up at the thatched ceiling(with palm leaves??) and all the antique decorations, such as an old telephone, clock, and interesting pictures, and sit down at one of their intimate little tables. My boyfriend got the Czech beer, which was quite a large bottle for $ 8. It had an interesting light/sweet finish. I had the Katherine the Great, which was pomegranate vodka, pepper infused(?) vodka, and spritzed with rose water. Great drink and not overpoweringly sweet.
