Not sure if this place closed down yet(there were rumors about building renovations)…but i used to come here couple of weeks ago a few times after work for a quick drink or two. The crowd was definitely not my type — late-aged men(45+) standing around. I have never tried any of the food here, but it looked great when passed to customers and through these photos via Unilocal. Not sure if they are closing for good or relocated. The service was great. was always served by the same male late night(after 8pm) on a workday bartender. he was cool!

The bar tender didn’t seem like he wanted to tend. Probably bad management. When he did feel like it was to his regular’s that looked they they belong to an Off Track Betting venue… WT. Overall the decorm is nice but the service and attitude is just horrible. The best was when the bar tender finally gave me my change and looked at it as if I was going to leave it as a tip… lol WTF? I took it all back and spent it a better place.

Weird after work«can’t go home to my wife yet» older crowd. Descent prices. Maybe when they move they will get a second chance at life.

I found my way to Annie Moore’s on a blustery St Patrick’s Day when I was seeking a pint of Guiness and something warm to fill my belly. I got my pint, but it was served in a plastic cup. I’m assuming that this was a St Patrick’s Day oddity… but still. Guiness from a plastic cup in an Irish pub is just WRONG. An order of Lamb Stew warmed my belly nicely. A hunk of bread with it would have been nice, but the large hunks of potatoes and lamb were exactly what I needed before returning to the wind blown streets of Gotham. In many towns, a good Irish pub is hard to find and Annie Moores might be a great find. In this part of New York City, tho, it’s nothing special. In downtown NYC, Irish pubs are more plentiful than theatres and Souvenir T-shirt shops. Annie Moore’s is indistinguishable in a crowd. It doesn’t stand out as being anything more than«conveniently-located.»

One word: suboptimal. It’s expensive, too expensive. It’s also crowded with men ages 40+ There’s really not much to say about this place that can’t be summed up with(look elsewhere)

What drew me initially to this restaurant was the fancy exterior and what little else I was able to make out from outside the window. I ordered the Chicken Quesadillas which, for an Irish pub seemed a bit out of place, tasted very rubbery and had cold spots, leading me to believe it was quickly microwaved, then left on the counter for another 15 minutes to give the impression that it was made by hand. Customer service wasn’t the best either. It was difficult to get anyone’s attention, despite being one of only 12 other customers at the time. Don’t let the exterior/interior fool you. I much rather would’ve eaten in the food court in Grand Central Station.

Came here for appetizers — ordered the mozzarella dish and their chicken quesadillas. The cheese did not taste fresh and there was very little meat in the quesadillas… Quite a disappointment. Slow service and unhappy staff. For the price, it’s not worth it.

Average food at best… was convenient so we went in. A little pricey for the quality… bartenders a little cranky towards the end of night but tolerable. Don’t have high expectations.

Sunday lunch. This is generally a place filled when during the week for business, so there were only a few tables on a quiet Sunday. Service was good. Food also was good; had the steak au poivre, and my relative had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Portions are very generous on the chicken sandwich, and just right on the steak. Food was tasty, presentation met expectations. I’d come back here again.

Food was yuck! Who can mess up fish and chips. Atmosphere is exactly as others described it… Mixed drinks were like drinking a glass of ice water. Not a fan of Annie Moore’s ANYMORE

I work in the Area and I was on the hunt for a nice glass of wine on my lunch break it was early so not many restaurant & bars were open. The bartenders were very friendly & welcoming. I ordered a glass of Pinot & the best chicken & cheese quesadilla I’ve had in a long time ! It was huge I couldn’t even finish it all. My food came rite out I didn’t have to wait long at all. I sat at the bar which got crowded pretty quickly this is defiantly a popular place for brunch.

I’ve always come here for lunch with coworkers and I’ve always been happy. We typically order the burgers and sandwiches which are good. They’re not gourmet burgers but very good for bar food. What I love is how efficient and friendly the wait staff is. The orders come out quick! The service is very attentive, glasses usually don’t stay empty for very long.

As far as Irish Pubs go I suppose this one is as good as the next. We had a work get together here and it was fun. The service was good and the drinks were decent. My biggest complaint was the noise and the crowd, but then again that is why people like this type of place isn’t it? In defense the crowd did seem a little more on the professional side than some of the other Irish Pubs I have been too(although depending on the mood that could be a plus or a minus). The food was bar food but pretty good. I think it is a great place to go if you are commuting through grand central and don’t want to brave the Oyster Bar but it is not someplace to go out of your way to attend. I would not turn down going back! Thanks for reading and enjoy.

I came here for happy hour on a quick day trip to New York. yes day trip from Denver! I flew out in the AM, got a pastrami sandwich for lunch, and the met some friends here for drinks. The proximity to Grand Central was the main reason we came here since I had a limited amount of time and had to head back to LaGuardia. The drinks were a decent deal and they had a good amount of things on tap. a few local brews and your standards. Service was pretty good considering a decent sized happy hour crowd.

For some reason, the Grand Central Station area is littered with Irish pubs. Annie Moore’s is one of them. Most are interchangeable as in they are all more or less the same. Annie Moore’s is about a half a block from GCT and like the other pubs in the area, it is loaded with people getting loaded before they load themselves onto a Metro North train for the schlep out to the burbs. However, unlike a lot of pubs in the area, I found this place to be a bit more spacious, so even when it is busy, there is still some room to move around. Also, they have a function room area downstairs so if there are large parties /get togethers, the staff usually puts them downstairs. I have been there for a few functions as the space is quite adequate. The food and drink were also adequate. Again, nothing too amazing here, but definitely not an overly-packed, overly-noisy, pub with lousy food. You will be ok in the hands of Annie Moore’s.

This place is awesome! Was here with my boyfriend last Sunday afternoon and after walking in and out of a few crowded obnoxious places in the area, This was exactly what we were looking for. A nice place not extremely packed where we can have a few drinks and sit and watch the football game. Great atmosphere here. Not too crowded and crazy and though it’s pretty big and spacious, still had a warm cozy feeling to it. Now the real Important stuff. Service. When you come here you MUST look for Alan. He is awesome, friendly and attentive. I HATE when I have to chase the bartender for a drink. He was chatting with us and still able to take care of everyone else at the bar and everyone that kept coming in. It was our first time going there and he made us feel right at home. Not like the many bartenders who treat you like they could care less if you stay or go. Will definitely be back. It’s hard to find a great place to hang out at in this area that isn’t stiff. Annie Moore’s is the place to go to for great quality food, drinks and service that is on point. Have fun! :) Kat

Very close to grand central lies Annie Moore’s Bar. Typical Irish pub outfitted with suits, milfs and always that token old guy at the corner of the bar. There even was a Don Draper wannabe the day i went! Place was quite spacious and had what looked like dark oak walls. Nice touch. Bartenders were professional and operated efficiently even with a packed bar. Didn’t get a chance to try the food but i’d imagine it would be your typical pub style grub. Not a bad place to grab a drink after work if you’re around the area. 7 bucks for a jack and coke.

Looking for a solid meal near Grand Central? Look no further! The food at this lace is great. It can be a bit expensive for pub grub, but honestly the location cannot be beat. Plus there actually have a few tv screens showing the train schedules just like the ones in GCT, so no worries about missing that train. Now back to the food. I had a great turkey sandwich. It felt like Thanksgiving was yesterday and I was getting a nice fresh sandwich. It came with great fries and a side of gravy. The sandwich took mayo, that gravy was reserved for the fries! Honestly it is a spot I will be back to more often. I cannot believe it took me this long to try it.

Chicken nachos, yes please. Great nachos, great flavor, and very cheesy. Best part about Annie Moore’s is the TV screens that show when your Grand Central train is coming in. so you can enjoy the nachos, and your beer, and know you won’t be late for your train.

My all time favorite place for wings. My friends and I have been going here for years now. The waitresses(who are usually sweet Irish ladies!) always know our order. Dozen wings(for each person, of course) and an order of steak fries. It’s hard to stray from the wings here because they are that good, but I’ve had the fish and chips. The tartar sauce it comes with must have crack in it because it’s SO addicting.
