I ordered phở and the first thing I did was taste the broth, which was delicious. I poured the broth over the noodles and sliced raw beef and stirred to let the beef cook slightly. Unfortunately, very little of the beef was edible, the vast majority of it was pure fat(see picture). It was very difficult to eat this phở while trying to pick around all of the inedible fat. I also deducted a star because most of the prices on their menu are wrong. I tried ordering dumplings that are listed as $ 4 and was told that they’re actually $ 7. I tried ordering phở from the regular menu which is listed as $ 9 but was told it’s actually $ 12. I ended up getting the lunch menu phở which is actually $ 9.

Found this place near our hotel, it was really windy and we wanted some soup to warm us up, saw the menu and decided to walk in. And wow the décor was so nice staff were nicely dressed and we were greeted by a nice woman pretty sure she was the manager, we ordered our food it came out pretty quick and wow the pork gonzas were amazing and fresh! The phở was on point and a very large bowl for the price! Happy with the service very friendly staff good food Ill def return!

Stumbled upon this place and the menu looked enticing so we decided to go in. Definitely order the tempura rock shrimp, soft shell crab, summer roll, and the pad Thai. Everything is reasonably priced. The staff here is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Their ambiance inside is impressive. I’ll update my review the next time I go, I hear the pork chops here are really good! I’m looking forward to my next visit!

What a fortunate find on a chilly winter night. An’nam, recently opened(or reopened from what I’ve read), has a spacious, comfortable and attractive dining room. The staff is friendly and welcoming; there is a calm to the restaurant. Best of all, it’s in the heart of the theater district and you can get a reasonably priced dinner pre or post show. We ordered fairly standard cuisine(two miso soups and a shared basil chicken and rice), and asked to be served quickly as there was a show to catch. No problem there, fast service, satisfying meal, great price. I’m not sure how the menu will stand up to the hardcore foodie, but on this winter night it was the perfect place.

After 3 hours of walking in Times Square on NYE, we came across two workers from this place advertising since everything on the strip was blocked off. We decided to give it a try. Food was ok, expensive. Drinks were jacked up in price due to NYE. My daughter had phở which was ok, not all that. Sashimi was fresh and good. Would I come back again? Probably not.

Food was ok nothing special but expensive. Staff is strange and was sitting with random customers chit chatting instead of waiting on others. 4 bucks for a small glass of coke with no free refills.

Horrible!!! Ordered a bento box, the beef teriyaki was dry, tough and tasteless. The tempura veggies were hard, difficult to chew and the rice, just disgraceful! Don’t waste your money.

The place is very nice and has great décor. I’ll be honest I’ve never had any food worse than this. I was very disappointed as its a Japanese/vietnamese restaurant and couldn’t even make a good bowl of udon or phở. It was very pricey and did not meet of my expectations.

Great food and for a good price. I ordered their Salmon Teriyaki and my girlfriend had the sushi and sashimi dinner. They both tasted great and the salmon was very well served for only 18 dollars. Overall the menu isn’t expensive when you take into consideration its location: a very short walk from Times Square.

An’nam is apparently the resurrected saigon 48 with a new japanese section of the menu. I cannot speak to the japanese menu items as i have not tried them; i am here, perhaps a little unorthodoxically(if there is such a word lol) to rave about a single menu item. their grandma’s recipe chicken soup. This stuff is miraculous! the broth is very light, the chicken very tender, with some greens and vietnamese rice noodles thrown in. Get the large bowl, piping hot, drizzle in a good dose of the hot sauce, and I’m convinced this could make a jewish grandmother weep over her matzoh balls(i.e jewish penicillin :) This stuff cures the common cold! Seriously, I used to head over there whenever i felt something yucky brewing in my throat or chest. Then i showed up one day in said condition, jonesing for my cure, and they were just gone:( I pretty much went into withdrawal during the seven months they were closed(and got sick a lot ! It’s not quite the version they were serving pre-closure. they have switched the greens to something a little more generic, and the broth isn’t quite as clear as it used to be. If i followed the host’s explanation, it seems like maybe they are still playing with the recipe a little. i’m hoping they get the bugs out and recreate it exactly. But it’s still 93% of the way, and just in time as the cold weather shows up and creeps into your bones and chest. Adopt a vietnamese grandma and ANNIHILATE those nasty winter microbes, lol !

Came here for dinner with a group of friends. The people there were very friendly. We had everything from calamari to yakiudon. The servings were very generous and tasted great. I will definitely be coming back again!

We did take out from here for lunch today. The lunch specials are really what attracted us to this place and because it was so conveniently located to our office. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Ordering online and pick up were super smooth and we got excited to see that the actual restaurant was pretty crowded and the food smelt good. My friend’s Oyakadon was not a don dish at all but rather shredded chicken with some sweet sauce and rice on the side. It was not flavorful and kind of sad looking. I ordered the 3 roll lunch special for $ 12 — spicy crunchy tuna, spicy crunchy salmon, and tuna and avocado. The crunchy rolls were not crunchy at all and each roll tasted pretty funny. After 4 pieces I gave up and decided to toss it as I was afraid it would make me sick if I kept eating the sushi. Too bad this place just didn’t do a good job with take out for lunch because their menu seemed good.
