A Deli, with all the convenience items, sandwiches, meats, teas, and coffee! Little tins of candy and chocolate bars… Great for a quick little stop… Hey wait… THEREARECOOKIES!!! By the door, there is a case full of the most wonderful assorted cookies. We came in out of the cold during the parade Balloon inflation, bought a sack of cookies, and we each enjoyed several with a cup of piping hot tea. Then we pack dup the rest of the cookies and enjoyed them for breakfast the next morning. Go in, get some cookies! You know you want to try them ALL!

I live right by here and usually am very satisfied with the deli here. However, today the person making my sandwich accidentally made the wrong kind. Obviously this wouldn’t be that big of a deal except for the fact that he then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that he had misheard me, and that I was giving him attitude by asking for my original order. He was extremely rude and inappropriate, and frankly embarrassed me in front of the other customers. This behavior was completely uncalled for and needs to be addressed by upper level management.

There are not a lot of good, clean places in the neighborhood to order a sandwich and sit and eat it there. This is one of them. I have experienced both good and horrible there. The negative review here is not to bash them, it’s to hope they read and adjust. I ordered two sandwiches there. Rather than go into detail on the fact that they repeated the order, questioned it, repeated it again and gave me two sandwiches that barely resembled what I asked for. When I brought it back they apologized, went to fix it and still did it wrong. When I brought it to their attention again, they simply said they«did not do it on purpose». For nearly $ 10 a sandwich you expect it to be fresh and to order. This was not to order and that’s all I said. I didn’t insult them, I didn’t have a problem with them personally, I just wanted what I ordered and they took that very personally. I brought it up to the manager and he seemed confused that I had a problem with my sandwich as well. He offered to fix it… that would have been the third attempt. I said, I just wanted to let him know that his sandwich makers were not even close to paying attention and that does not reflect well on a «made to order» business model. I would go back for another try… it was fresh, clean and pleasant smelling… they weren’t jerks… just incompetent.

Slow slow slow! If you want a quick coffee & muffin here it’s not going to happen. Everyone here takes there sweet time doing anything! Worst

A good place to get a quick roast beef sandwich in a brightly-lit, clean store. Trust me, you won’t be afraid to eat from this deli compared to some other local bodegas. ;-)

Great Deli… quality and quantity(sandwiches are huge). Good place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich to start the day. Has a small counter where you can sit and eat. Grocery items a little high but that what supermarkets are for.

Sandwiches are good, bread is fresh and they give you a lot of meat. All of the beverages and convenience store items are way over priced. Go to Duane Reade across the street for chips and soda.

Ahh… Amsterdam Gourmet. Surprisingly good, cheap coffee for a deli. Has just about anything you would need, at almost all hours of the evening(they close at midnight). Prices are higher than at supermarkets. Still, you are very convenient and for that I love you.

One turkey sandwich on wheat bread with cheese, lettuce, and mayo? $ 6.50 The size? Literally 4 inches thick. I nearly dislocated my jaw trying to eat this thing. Verdict? Totally worth it. Even to someone who is spoiled by the equally delicious $ 3.50 deli sandwiches down the street from her apartment. The only difference is that the $ 3.50 one are definitely not 4 inches thick. They made it pretty quickly too.

I come to this little place quite often either for a quick bite to eat, milk when Duane Reade is sold out(which is always — I only go to DR because I like my $ 5 off when I spend 100! :P), tasty baklava, or for my last minute ATM needs. They make really tasty sandwiches for a good price. Pretty well stocked in the grocery section. Never tried any of the pre-made food but I’ve always been scared of trying that in any deli I’ve been to… The staff has also always been very nice.
