Went late after a long travel day as we found this food bar was still open. The sign makes you think that the food bar is just under $ 9, however that’s for a pound(did not notice small print). Ok, that’s ok, because I got a lot of food for just over a pound. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile, so I did not eat the meat that I had just paid for. I was grateful to find a place open at night however, and their candy selection was fabulous and reasonably priced. If the price were say cut to $ 6 a pound after 8:00 pm it would have gotten more stars.

If you are trying to eat healthy this is a great salad bar option. They have a wide range of salads — beet, quinoa, chicken salad, kale salads. Perfect for when I want to eat clean but dont have time to prepare my own food at home. Good selection of prepackaged juices(tumeric, chia, smoothies etc.)

Love this place, so many options so much variety its a little piece of on the go heaven. If you are taking the Path into WTC you need to stop here to pick up breakfast in the morning on the way to work or wherever you are going.

Variety of selection to pick from for any meal. Came here for lunch– went to the sandwich station(located in the middle of the market). Got a number from the machine and waited for my number to appear on the board– don’t want for them to call it cuz some of them don’t. They will literally flip the number on and count 1−2−3− then move on so be prepared and know when it is your turn. Got the Italian sandwich on a white roll — ~$ 10– pretty filling. Possibly on the pricier side for like a deli sandwich but maybe would have been cheaper if I had gotten it on a sandwich bread instead of a roll. not sure. Pretty good quality– they cut the meat right there. They have quesadillas, made to order salads, pizza, etc. If you’re with co workers and can’t decide what you want just come here– tons to pick from. Did I mention it was also a market so there’s tons of random grocery ideas there. Additional seating upstairs but kind of a depressing ambiance so prob better to get take out and eat outside on a nice day!

Ughhhhh. Why is there nothing else to eat in TriBeCa!!! I always end up going to this place and being EXTREMELY disappointed. Food feels like it’s been sitting there for DAYS

Great quality salad bar with excellent selection of hot and cold options. If you’re hungry and in the neighborhood, look no further.

People: do not eat here unless you want to die any early death. I purchased a burger and fruit salad from this place. An hour after eating I had the worst stomach pains ever and diarrhea soon followed. Turns out, I had bad food poisoning. Ended up doing an herbal cleanse to get rid of the infection. Based on the other reviews, it appears this place has a bad habit of selling spoiled and expired food — one person said they found mold on their groceries when they got home; another said they got expired yogurt; one person found a worm in their salad, etc etc. Management has been informed of these issues, but doesn’t care and continues to sell expired food. This place is seriously going to kill someone, as expired food is poisonous! AVOID

Pricey but it makes sense because they sell and make a lot of organic foods. I haven’t tried their buffet yet but I did shop here. They have a lot of store items to choose from and I love it! Especially their wide variety of Jams, peanuts, peanut butter, etc. They don’t only have a good buffet but also a salad bar and a dessert section. I’ll most likely will come back to shop here again. Maybe try out their food

Very very good food bar. Variety and taste is great. And they always have seasonal variations — like stew in the winters!

Speciality grocery shop. Very fresh goods. If you have a sweet tooth, there’s plenty of premade baked goods. Their bakery’s is a little small and limited. But they do have sandwich, bagel, pizza, etc… They also have some notable name brand items… Its got a hint of gourmet…

I stopped by the Amish Market for a quick bite to eat after getting off PATH. The market was busy around prime lunch hours. There is a variety of cold and hot food dishes here. The selection is overwhelming if you’re on a timed schedule. Amish Market is a grocery store as well. This place reminds me of Whole Foods. I only got a slice of pepperoni pizza to eat. Amish Market pizza was tasty and hot. Service was average and fast. It’s a cool spot to visit for lunch especially for first timers. I give Amish Market a 3.5 rating.

These people are mannerless and RUDE. My mom tried to buy a cup of coffee and they changed tye price 3 times, each time going higher and higher. Then when tye supervisor came, they started speaking German in front of her… RUDE and she increased the price. The worker was nasty about asking my mother if she should call the manger. Entirely dismissive! Tye supervisor did not even bother to check her attitude. If that’s how YOU run a SERVICE based business… CLOSE.

Their salmon sushi pack gave me a case of diarrhea right after I had it for lunch. I had to leave my work. I will never get close to this site since then. It was about a few weeks ago.

The food here is the same as the food at every other Amish Market, but the customer service at this location is appalling, and has been each of the dozen or so times I’ve stopped in here to get something quickly before work. The cashiers do not acknowledge customers at any point during the checkout process but instead just have personal conversations with each other while you wait to read your total from the screen and run your card through the machine. This morning I interrupted the cashier who was ringing me up – and who hadn’t acknowledged me once in the process because the conversation she was having with her coworker was more compelling – to say hello and was given a dirty look. There are plenty of similarly priced cafes and breakfast spots in the area where management and staff act like human beings, and that’s where I plan to go from now on.

The ultimate location for the indecisive, but hungry, office worker. Amish has everything from a hot food bar to a sushi station to a pizza bar to a sandwich counter… and that’s only in the front of the store. Now, I am not claiming that they do any of this really well but, especially when things are hopping at lunch, they get you in and out quickly and for a reasonable price. The store is a bit of a maze, and finding your way from one end to the other is a challenge, and you’re probably going to find yourself negotiating the narrow alleys to get at some of the food items while bumping into the dozens of other people doing the same thing. I’ve had hot quesadillas here, really good sandwiches, and bought lunch by the pound from the buffet. I can’t speak to the pizza or the guys serving those looking for a slice. So, if you don’t want to commit to one of the myriad of specialty food places in TriBeCa area, then Amish might be a good place to go.

No Breakfast after 10am like McDonalds = Bad Service… A place like this should serve scrambled eggs at anytime… they would make more money. And everything is over priced ex. Kind Nut Bars = $ 2.50 but they are $ 1.25 at Wholefoods two blocks away… The Staff is very loud especially the spanish lady with short black hair…

Convenient to drop by before heading to path station. They have a large selection of organic products. Friendly workers. I wouldn’t get sushi from here. Last time the salmon was bad.

I’ll go to Amish Market when the cafeteria at my job is having a crappy selection, and that’s pretty frequent. The salad bar is okay, it’s got a big selection of different items, most of which I’d probably never eat. The hot food section usually looks unappealing. The sandwiches are overpriced and I’d rather go to a different place for this. They also have a special order salad station which you need a minor loan in order to get a satisfying one. The one thing I come here for is their chicken doner wraps. The guy who runs that little station makes really great wraps and platters. The doner is flavorful and with some of the yogurt sauce and sriracha, I will devour the wrap in about 3 bites.

i used to love Amish’s breakfast sandwiches, bacon/egg/cheese on a roll, while pricier than other delis in the area, is made of thick, fluffy eggs, gooey, melty cheese, and lots of bacon. it’s a higher quality sandwich and i didn’t mind paying a little bit more for it. i went back today and got the same sandwich, let’s just say that things were never the same. the eggs were thin, hard, rubbery, less cheese, and the bacon was salty and extremely fatty. on top of that, they charge $ 5.50 for it(which i think is ridiculous). i get it, i used to work in food industry and i buy my groceries quite often, food costs are going up. to counter it, businesses usually raise prices OR cut back on the portions they serve, not BOTH. not only i got an inferior product, i also paid a higher price for it. i asked about the price, thought it was a mistake, the workers just started ranting and talked down to me. ok, i’m so DONE with you Amish Market, you will no longer have my business.

I generally avoid places like this like the plague, what with rows and rows of prepared foods decaying and festering under a germ-ridden, snot-covered sneeze guard. Eww. I am so happy to be at a point in my life where I do not have to eat at these places anymore. So why was I here? Having been a few drinks in and coming from a local bar, I had to make my way back to Jersey City and was starving. All I needed was a slice. You know the pizza in this area must be terrible when a guy like me chooses getting a slice at the Amish Market over one of the awful nearby pizza joints in this part of Tribeca. But having scanned both options, I had no choice but to come here. I get to the counter, and one of the pies looks somewhat fresh. So I grab one of the three guys working behind the counter, point to the exact slice I want, and tell him to heat it up nice and hot. Obviously unable to speak good English, he mutters and gestures such to tell me that the«pizza guy» will get it for me when he gets back. He then goes back to the other two guys working behind the counter where they resume their conversation, doing absolutely nothing. I manage to stay cool for almost 7 or 8 minutes before I start losing it. I’m all but ready to step behind the counter and serve myself. One of the ladies behind the register sees me coming unhinged and tells me that she’ll get the pizza guy. She then gets on a walkie-talkie of some kind and makes some unintelligible comment over the PA. After another 5 minutes, I bark out something unprofessional and start walking out, only to be intercepted by «the pizza guy» who apologizes profusely and finally throws my slice in the oven. The slice pretty much sucked, but was edible and enough to hold me over for the trip back home. 2 stars — because I’m in a better mood now.
