Really unhappy with the service here. I purchased a really nice pair of shoes and they didn’t have my size so they said they would ship a pair in my size to my house. Finally when i received the shoes, there was a metal piece sticking out in the middle. I brought them to the store and they pretty much said there was nothing they could do about it. They also completely sold out of the shoe so i couldn’t even exchange it for a new pair. I finally decided to get a new shoe and when it arrived it was missing a piece. Overall love their shoes but cant trust i’ll ever get a good product.

Okay… so I’m happy I’m not the only one complaining about their staff. I’ve always loved Aldos. Their shoes are always the bomb! I’ve been to almost all locations in the city and Brooklyn, but this one has the nastiest staff by far. The shoes I wanted were sold out everywhere, except at this location & online. I couldn’t order online because they were needed two days ahead. I called ahead to place the last shoe on hold. So I ran there one hour before I started my shift. I asked for them upon arrival & when I opened the box, the shoes… they looked as if they were worn. No plastic covered them, nothing stuffed inside the shoes, the bottom, which is naturally beige, was damn near black. So I was a bit baffled at what they brought out thinking that someone was suppose to buy this. My rude shoe sale associate, Kim, assured me the shoe wasn’t worn, it was tried on. And my name was Boo Boo The Fool. Any who I tried them on to see if the 9 would fit or if I would need to go a size up to order them online. Good thing I tried them on because I did need a 10 after all. So I asked Kim if they happen to run small and she said yeah because she went up a size when she purchased them. DING! Now, wouldn’t a professional shoe salesman, bring you the size you asked for and the next size if they personally knew the shoe ran small? Then the witch had the nerve to have a screw face on while working. #jesustakethewheel *That was my first and last visit to that store*

One of the larger Aldo’s in the city. Great selection and friendly service. Also in a really convenient location.

I’m not a big fan of ALDO’s shoes but I love their accessories. And this location by NYU has one of the best selections of accessories of any ALDO store I’ve been to. Inside this location you’ll find 2 full walls of accessories and another wall of bags as well as a table displaying some of the new items and a couple small displays housing a lot of the *buy one get one free* items. I’ve always found the staff here to be friendly, sales are clearly marked and lucky for me the store never seems to be crowded. I absolutely go out of my way to visit this location and if you are sick of the crowded SoHo locations you should to.

Love this location. The staff is soo sweet and helpful. One day I eyed a pair of fantastic tall boots for a reasonable price. It was wishful thinking because I have big calves and can hardly ever find a pair to zip up all the way. On a mere whim, I said a silent prayer and gave the inevitable zipper up a shot. *Fail. It reached me mid-calf. :(As I prepared myself to pout home, the sweet sales associate(Mikael I think that is his name) explained to me the ‘secret’. The key was pulling the boot down inch by inch while zipping, then slipping it up your leg like a sock. WORKEDLIKE A CHARM! He politely said, «Tell me I’m not the bomb». «Ya damn skimpy!» I replied. I felt like I found my treasure. This is what a good shopping experience should be. A sales associate that goes out of his way to ensure your happiness. I’m in love.

These shoes hurt. They are not made for human feet. Aldo is also big on the hard sell, so they will also send you home with a pair that doesn’t quite fit, on the promise that they will«stretch” – and they never do. It took me a while to learn the lesson, but here it finally is: If the shoe doesn’t fit in the store, it is not worth the money.

I came into Aldo with the agenda of purchasing these red stiletto shoes that I saw in their store in Montréal. However, most of the displays were knee high boots so I definitely became distracted and started looking at them. After perusing for awhile, I asked a store associate for boots with traction. She didn’t really understand what I was asking for but another store associate handed me these non slip traction pads that you paste on the bottom of your shoes. She explained to me a lot of people come to the store asking for these traction pads and they go well with everything — boots, stilettos, and sneakers. I was really impressed with her attention and so I asked her if she had any slouchy boots that fit large width calves. She said yes and I was a bit skeptical. She whipped out a pair of slouchy boots that came up mid calf and was pleasantly surprised. «I told you they’d fit» I was in love. I asked her if there were any knee high boots in the similar style and she pulled it off the display and said, «I’m sorry — these are the last pair in size 7.» They were too tight to wrap around my chunky calves but she said that they do calf stretching up to 2 inches wider than the original width. I told her I have extremely wide calves and I told her those boots are probably a 15 in circumference. She took more time and measured the width of the boot and it ended up being 15 in. Go figure. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable stretching it out and since the size 7 didn’t fit well over my jeans, I didn’t want to buy it. She offered they can call other stores around the US and ask for a larger size and ship it to my house free of charge. I still wasn’t comfortable special ordering shoes since I tend to be disappointed when they arrive at my house but I told her I prefer the calf length so I bought those. For the amount of time they spent with me explaining the boots, calf stretching and non slip pads, they definitely deserve my business. I’ll be back in a couple weeks ready to buy more shoes!
