This location sucks. I get that it’s crowded because it’s in time square, but SOME of the staff is terrible. I ordered a pair of shoes on 10/13, they were out of stock. I came in yesterday(10⁄21) to check if they’ve been delivered(my email said it should be delivered no later than this date) but they weren’t at the store. I decided to wait one more day and returned today to see if my shoes came in. I’m currently waiting for one staff person to call to find out where my shoes are. She’s being helpful. But before I even got to this point today, I waited on line and one staff girl decided to greet and assist the person behind me waiting on line. That pissed me off. How rude! I asked the gentlemen if she had helped him, he said no and that someone else did. This whole review is mainly about her and her lack of customer service. This is the second time of me coming to this store and she’s been here and has been slightly rude! Anyway, my shoes still haven’t arrived to the store and they are issuing me my refund. I’m very disappointed in the entire process of me not getting my shoes.

Go to another Aldo store! The staff here is SO busy in Times Square that it takes forever to try anything on. In general, the staff is condescending and unfriendly. They will not give you a discount unless you ask(even if your items are displayed in the sales section) and they will give you a dirty look if you do have a discount. They are also pushy, especially with the items at the front counter(polish, spray, inserts). I get it– they must make commission. But, that is no excuse to be so rude to customers! On the plus side, they have a decent selection.

Overall they have good selection and the staff was trying their best, I think. Their 50% section is very confusing and I asked a sales associate if the bag I was looking at was half price and she said yes, however when I got to checkout, it was full price. Their was only one register open and about eight people in line with other staff members kind of looking around, but maybe they were actually doing something? The store is pretty crowded and full of tourists, but it’s Times Square. One thing I noticed is that the female staff was dressed very inappropriately but maybe that’s an Aldo thing?

The shoes here are the same as you’d find at any other Aldo. This review isn’t for the quality of shoes, it’s for the location. When I say location, I don’t even mean the fact that it’s located in Times Square, which does suck. The service here is just terrible when you are in line to check out. This place is on my way home so it’s convenient for me to come here to shop, but everytime I do, I end up waiting half an hour in line. I’m not even sure what could possibly take them so long to check people out. I watch them and it seems like they’re just standing around half of the time not doing anything even when there is a huge line waiting(and when I say huge, I don’t mean a line you’d find at UNIQLO, I mean a 5 person line that COULD be finished in 5 – 10 minutes that instead takes 30)

This store has the best selection of shoes, the most attractive staff, and is in the best location, PLUS the prices aren’t that bad believe it or not(especially since it’s smack in the middle of Time Sq)…so then why would I only give them two stars(and that’s being very generous)…UMMMMM, I HATE it when a shoe salesperson talks down to me. Uncalled for and PLUS haven’t anyone ever told Jess that customers are always right when they are spending their money! So here’s the scoop: I ordered a pair of high-top sneaks that caught my heart and wouldn’t let it lose. Since they didn’t have my size(of course which is why I ordered), I took a gamble on the size I ordered. Excited about the arrival of my new kicks, I basically skipped in the store. I tried them on and bummer, they were to big. So I tried to explain to Jess(dude behind the counter) that my foot is very very narrow so even if a show is the size I normally get, sometimes it doesn’t fit because it’s to big so I would need a smaller length. THISDUDE tells me that my issue wasn’t the length but the width of the shoe and to top it off, he said changing the length wouldn’t do anything for the width. WTF, WTH… who made this guy expert of my feet and how shoes fit me. All he simply had to do was say«okay would you like for me to place a new size order», that’s all! My whole shopping experience was ruined. Tact is key, I know as a consumer, I can be wacky but there’s a way in which a saleperson can be crafty in their delivery to the customer. This guy needs a lesson or two but don’t worry, I put my super educated academic hat on and told him that I was more in tuned to how shoes fit my feet and what I needed from him was basically to re-order with new size request. Will I continue to shop at Aldo, of course, I just love their shoes so much! But this location has totally split there draws with me and that sucks because there are so many beautiful women and men that work in this store… eye candy! Oh well… this is my story and I am sticking to it. I kinda even dread picking up my shoes from this location… bad taste!
