Foods pretty good but the quantity could be better. Kudos to the nice and spicy hot sauce though!

This is for the food cart on Liberty Avenue and Lefferts Blvd. I came to this cart a few times on behalf of the Unilocal reviews but in my humble opinion doesn’t compare to another food cart in the same area. PROS: 1st: PRICEISRIGHT. $ 5 for chicken over rice can’t be beat. $ 4 for chicken pita. 2nd: FRESH. Food seems fresh and I don’t feel any issue with quality as some food carts might leave you skeptical, this one seems better in that department. CONS: These are the reasons why I wouldn’t check back with them: 1st: Last time I showed up at about tens minutes before 12pm he DIDN’T HAVEANYFOODREADY??? Lunch time?! No chicken ready at almost 12pm!?? WTH?! This should be automatic one star but I’m hoping this was a one time thing. He didn’t look too apologetic that I had to look for an impossible spot on that strip to get parking and waste my time during lunch. I won’t be coming back again as I have settled that I strayed from a superior spot and won’t make the mistake again. 2nd: This is purely my taste buds as a «non-middle eastern» Caucasian. I feel the flavor has a little too much in either cumin or curry added that I have trouble enjoying it fully. 3rd: Food portion. While price is right if I compare with another food cart I use the food portion doesn’t fill up the styrofoam togo container like others would. 4th: The white sauce in my opinion has too much mayo and again, like the over spicing, you start to notice the mayo taste more then enjoy the food 5th: OPTIONS. Little option other then chicken on something. He doesn’t have the other specialty coolness like Falafel or Kofta(spicy chicken sausage) which limits the fun of using this cart as a regular option. 6th: NOSMILE. Granted I realize he’s a hardworking immigrant man doing his thing. Respect to him. I feel he should at least show some appreciation or smile or something when serving people. Although I wouldn’t be nit picking on this one if the other CONS were not present.

My mouth is watering just by writing this review. The chicken over rice is amazing! So soft and delicious. I usually come here at late night when nothing else is open besides White Castle. The guys running the cart are very nice. This has got to be one of the best carts in Ozone Park and the price is very good.

Used to be my spot. But now the price has gone up and the quality has gone down… What’s going on??? That’s not the way it works bro! You have to keep the quality to raise the price! I will pay $ 5.50 if you keep the same great chicken and rice! I used to come here like two or three times a week now it’s like one or two times a month cause I really have to be drunk… Sad but true. I would rather wait in the city on Lexington and 53rd for sone chicken and rice at lunch time for an hour and get quality and pay a little more than get stuck in south ozone and not get quality. All I can do now is hope that the first two guys come back and get things back in order! We miss you guys!

This truck is okay — nothing great, but not bad. I’ll give it 4 stars because the brown rice that he serves in really good, and somewhat uncommon for a halal truck. Otherwise, my chicken salad platter and gyro salad platter were both average. I was a bit disappointed by the amount of salad served, however, the amount of chicken and gyro meat was adequate.

I was on Unilocal last night wondering what to eat around my way when I came upon this spot. The other reviews had me sold, so i decided to drive there and try it & boy was I happy. I got the chicken & rice with a coke(white sauce & hot sauce on top) ohhh boy one bite and i was in harmony. They actually serve full meaty pieces and not pieces full of nasty fat hanging off(gross) the rice was also amazing and the sauces gave a perfect kick to the meal. If your ever around this side of queens do give it a try =)

All I have to say is that when I’m home in Miami I just dream of the day I can step foot in front of this phenomenal Halal food stand. My ex-boyfriend(now) introduced me to this food stand a few years ago(when he was still my boyfriend). He knows how much I love different types of food and knew that I would love this. I don’t get to eat it often but when I am in NY I HAVE to come here. I come from the Bronx to Queens just to get the amazing chicken and rice and sometimes the gyros also. He also has lamb meat. The white sauce he uses is the real deal. I have had quite a few chicken and rice food stand guys in the Bronx and Manhattan, but none this tasty so far. I still visit there with my ex(yes we are still friends) when I’m in town. Thanks for showing me Waz A!

I live in Ozone Park and there are not many Halal Carts around here so when I’m starved for Halal food I go to Liberty Ave & Lefferts Blvd for Abdul Halal Food cart. The rice isn’t the usual yellow rice I get from other Halal carts around NY Abdul is a brown rice. The chicken is good and so is the hot sauce. The hot sauce should be put on the side. I always ask for a lot of white sauce. I am always surprised that there is never really a line. the food is tasty, I ate from this cart about 4 times and never had a problem.
