Ordered from here via Seamless, and the order never came. Called the restaurant’s number and it was disconnected! I did reach a very friendly Seamless customer service rep through their help line, and she reached out via an alternate phone number. She told me she was treated very rudely: «I can’t believe they can run a business when they treat people so poorly and talk to people this way!» Very disappointed.

Piggybacking on what Harry mentioned, I’ve ordered lunch to-go from this spot twice now and left disappointed on both visits. A simple order of chana masala with rice, ends up being a scoop of chana over a huge container of rice. For what it’s worth, the chana tastes OK, but it’s not a filling or satisfying lunch in the least. To boot, they have the lunch buffet set up when you walk in, so you get to see a large amount of food(in quantity and offerings), yet walk away with what amounts to a pint of rice. TL;DR: Stay for the $ 10.95 lunch buffet, don’t order lunch to-go.

Ordered delivery, food never came after 1.5 hours. Canceled after contacting grubhub, and getting a response that it will be delivered in 2 hours after order… INNYC. So, yeah, never again.

Minus 1 star for slow service and not refilling the rice. Aside from that, the food is good. They don’t have chicken curry but they have chicken Tikka Masada and ginger chicken. Although their buffet is small, both meat and veggie options are available. For Manhattan, $ 10.95 for a buffet is good, but when you see how small the buffet is…

This is one of the best Indian restaurant that you can find in manhattan. Their spices(Indian spices) are fantastic because it doesn’t give you a burning spicy when you taste the food but it has some spices that you taste it and it’s wonderful. I loved the chicken tikka masala in here and also their naan’s are really good. The best thing is that their lunch buffet(all you can eat) really awesome. They have varieties of choices of vegetables and meat items; it will be a good spot for lunch as well as dinner.

Picked up the Aloo matar via Mealpass and enjoyed it, even if they didn’t have their stuff together at all. Most folks of course come for the buffet, so be prepared to realize you’re overpaying, but at least not also overeating.

Wandered by and stopped in for lunch buffet. Delicious! A quick scan of other posts seems to reveal a lot frustration with delivery issues, not food quality. This place is really tiny and if bare bones in appearance, equally clean. I don’t think they’ve been around to long. I can imagine they get overwhelmed with the lunch and/or dinner«rush». An excuse for allegedly rude treatment? No. Though I did find the hostess friendly enough. So my «take away» is don’t count on them for delivery any time soon. But if you’re in the neighborhood(as one reviewer points out it’s a new choice for the immediate area). Maybe the increased foot traffic will support a delivery squad…

Was wandering around the area and in need of an Indian fix. Went in on a whim and ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan. It came out in 10 minutes and tasted pretty amazing despite the 20 minutes it took me to walk home. Would recommend!

Took over two hours for delivery. Estimated delivery time less than one hour. Soup was lukewarm, main dish was room temperature. The lady on the phone was very nice.

I dont know why it took me so long to give it a try but I am so glad I did. There was no take out menu at the desk so I was given the regular menu for takeout. I assumed they had special dinners or combo dinners so I asked and they did! The special was app plus entrée with rice and naan and chutney for about 15. Good deal but wished it was advertised. I might have even gone in sooner had I known that. The app I choose was a samosa and pakora combo so I ordered an extra order of samosas so I would have some as a left over. It was fantastic and stuffed with peas and potatoes. The tamarind sauce was excellent with it. For my entrée I choose the chicken tikka masala and it was very, very good. It was a huge portion. The rice was particularly good as was the plain naan. I would definitely get food from there again!

Reasonable priced, delivered via seamless. Their papri chat is a mix of potatoes, tomatoes, raw onions, and crispy bites in a minty sauce– super cute, I really like that. Vindaloo is hot compare to most curry places in NYC. Overall love the place, and will order again.

Do not order for this place. I used Grubhub to order dinner last night, it showed up 45minutes after the expected delivery time and was ice cold and disgusting. I called the restaurant, they were unwilling to do help. I complained to Grubhub and Grubhub said the restaurant«insisted the food was on time.» Restaurant lied to Grubhub and did not even care to take responsibility for the situation. Order from somewhere else.

Save yourself a headache and don’t bother with this restaurant. I placed an order with them on Seamless at 7:27PM on a Sunday night. I got a text message at 7:40 from Seamless telling me that the delivery person was on the way. More than half an hour later I call and they tell me that the order was canceled because they were«too busy.» This is news to me, as they charged my card and also informed Seamless that the order was being delivered. As I called before closing time, I asked them to just send the order now. Remarkably, they refused to send me the order that I had been charged for. I asked what they would do to make it right, and they said there was nothing they would do for me. Lo and behold, the email from Seamless informing me that the order had been canceled was not sent until 9:49PM. In other words, they forgot to actually cancel the order until over two hours after my order had been placed. They had my cell phone number, but never bothered to call and let me know that the order had been canceled. When I called, they were rude and inflexible on the phone. This was customer service at its worst, as they made multiple mistakes and never even acknowledged that they did anything wrong. Plenty of other good options for Indian food in the city, no reason to waste your time and money here.

What an absolutely fantastic meal! Ordered from their menu on grubhub — and it’s been a while since I’ve been 110% satisfied with a meal! Ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, Rice and garlic naan bread and enjoyed every bite. The delivery boy was very friendly, and quick; not to mention the distance that he had to come to deliver(not realizing when I ordered) at 33⁄10th. Price was right as well! will definitely be ordering again! Thank you for making my Friday night!

This review is long overdue, and it concerns MULTIPLE times that I’ve had their food. Incredible portions, and amazing flavor. Honest to god, the Paneer Tikka is so flavorful, spicy, and packs such a punch that I debate having some every day of my life. It’s consistently(I’ve had it 6 or 7 times through delivery, it’s the only food I get delivered) incredibly, and hot when it arrives. It’s a tad spicy, but the flavors are rich and the paneer chunks are plentiful. Great with the rice, or with the excellent Garlic Naan.

The food was good but the samosa and naan was spectacular… not one of my fav Indian restaurants though. The waitress was very attentive.

I had exactly the same experience as a diner from Brooklyn! I made the reservation through Open Table and had a Groupon. There were no other customers when we came. The owner basically threw us out of the restaurant, saying that he is losing money and we can’t use Groupon with Open Table! I was trying to tell him if he doesn’t want people to make reservations through Open Table he should state so on the Groupon, as some other restaurants do, but to no avail! I’ve never been treated so badly in a restaurant in my life! We left fuming and humiliated! And the worst part — the owner had the nerve to mark us as NOSHOW in Open Table! All this trouble for one little stinky Indian restaurant! Are we supposed to be treated like that in New York? How does he get any customers at all?

If you like Indian curry, I think you’ll like this place! My bf and I ordered from Spice Lane over Seamless because we were honestly too lazy(eh typical). The food came pretty quickly and portions were good! I got the Chicken Tikki Masala and he got the Lamb Vindaloo. Really big chunks of meat and more than enough curry to eat your rice with :) I especially liked my dish because 1) it has this slight sweetness and 2) it wasn’t as spicy as the vindaloo dish. My bf liked his dish though so, definitely recommend that if you’re a fan. I can see myself ordering this again(but probably over Seamless).
