Pretty disappointing. Haven’t had a true cheesesteak in a long while and decided to cave and go to 99 Miles to Philly, Also did something I normally don’t do and got provolone instead of wiz. Got extra cheese of course. Just figured I’d spice it up a bit. Also with peppers. A must. The sub was good but I wasn’t totally satisfied. *See picture for underwhelming sub*

Tasty sandwich, but where’s the meat? I came in after having seen the positive reviews. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. The sandwich was tasty but my friend(who resides in philly) noted that the sandwich was much«leaner» than how they are traditionally served. Beef up the sandwiches pls!

Wish I could give 4.5 stars. The food is great. Their waffle fries are the best I’ve ever had – I don’t know if that speaks to my little experience with waffle fries or the great competence of theirs; take it as you will. The waffle fries taste better than the cheesesteak itself, but I’m not picky and still enjoy every meal I get from here. Delivery takes a while, but I’m not a really impatient person. Really glad I stumbled onto this place.

Hell yes, it’s still here! Lots of places change face here in the city and after a two year absence I was happy to find 99 Miles still standing. Although, that’s not much of a surprise. I don’t know of many other places that serve cheesesteaks as tasty as these outside of Philly. The steak itself is cooked just right, the onions are perfectly caramelized, and the whiz is where it’s at. Also, you’ve got to love the atmosphere. From the décor to the staff, it really does feel like you could be ordering a cheesesteak on some street corner in Philly.

I paid around $ 10 for my 6 inch philly cheesesteak, waffle fries, and a drink. Not too shabby for New York prices. I think I enjoyed my fries more than my philly cheesesteak. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but it wasn’t great. Next time I’ll try the chicken philly. The place itself is very open(lots of seats!) and has vintage décor, which was nice! The person who took our order wasn’t too friendly. It wasn’t even busy? I was a little confused on why he seemed annoyed and was rushing us as we were ordering. Knocked off a star for this reason.

Philly cheesesteak was great. Didn’t get too much besides the basics. Steak, provolone, onions and green peppers. Pretty good especially for an after event stop as Webster hall is around the corner.

I continue my search for a cheesesteak in New York that one could call a «Philly» cheesesteak. I was extremely excited to find 99 miles to philly as they obviously advertised that they were making philly style cheesesteaks, even using the right bread, imported from Philly. Unfortunately, they do not even come close to my experience with cheesesteaks in Philly. The steak itself was dry and lukewarm, the cheese was sparse and half melted, and the diced onions mushrooms and peppers were nonexistent. Basically I had a loaf of bread with shredded dry beef with a little bit of half melted cheese and this is what I paid $ 14 for and they called a Philly cheesesteak. Somebody please point me in the right direction for«Philly» cheesesteaks in New York.

This is a fast and inexpensive steak place in the Union Square area. They certainly bring Philly to Manhattan. You can either dine in or take to go.

Stumbled upon this joint after finishing performing at a show at Webster Hall. We needed«drunk hunger» food. Something Junky, Greasy, and Tasty that would make our arteries go «WTF are you doing?». This restaurant hit the spot. Ordering was easy and food came relatively fast. Got a Steak Cheesesteak with whiz. It was good, I wouldn’t say great, but it hits the spot if you are hungry and need something quick. I also got the Waffle Fries with Cheese. Boy these were good and hard to stop. My taste buds kept saying yea and my guardian cardiologist kept saying no. @skinnyfatbastardnyc recommends this place if you are in this area East Village and need a quick bite or «drunk hunger food.»

I like the no fuss about this place. The menu literally explains to you what to order and how to order it . The have different meat options(and vegetarian ones) and different cheese options as well . You order at the counter and they call out what you ordered to have you come pick it up from the other end of the counter . Food was super good ! It was full of flavor and cheese, without being over messy . They have some good Bbq sauce on the table ! Use it and your welcome :) Side notes : They have your classic sides of fries and such . They also have jalapeño poppers and chicken tenders for the kids if they’re not into cheesesteaks.

FIRSTOFALL, 99 Miles to motherfuckin’ Philly delivers faster than probably ANY establishment in New York City. I’ve ordered at least 4 times from 99 this week alone(I know, I need to get my shit together) and each time the food has come absurdly fast. Like no longer than 15 minutes fast, even at peak times. 99 Miles to Philly completely changed the game for me when it came to Seamless orders because I know if I’m REALLY hungry that I can rely on 99 to arrive quickly. There are few if any restaurants I can say that about in the East Village; especially during peak times. ASFORTHEFOOD, it’s solid. Look, this isn’t some fancy 5 star restaurant. It’s a simple, efficient, bare bones, Philly cheese steak joint. Even the seamless menu is really simple, but I like it that way. The main options: Philly Cheese steak Chicken Cheese Steak Vegetable«Cheese steak» I’ve had all three of these and the best one is definitely the steak. The vegetable was quite good as well, but the sandwich was more hero bread than veggies. Among the three, the chicken is my least favorite and not one I would ever order over the steak. Beyond the meat and cheese, one can add onions for free and from there, there are a slew of vegetable options that you can add for pretty cheap. I usually throw on mushrooms and sometimes I get side of their pizza sauce(25 cents) for dipping. Another aspect I like is their generous with their sauces. I always get two sides of hot sauce and sometimes a barbecue sauce; both are free. Beyond the cheese steaks the only other thing I’ve tried is the mozzarella moons. These were good, but nothing to write home about. They are basically large oval-shaped mozzarella sticks(so yeah, moons) with a light filling of cheese around the edges. If you order these, it’s a MUST that you get a size of pizza sauce. In the end, this place is CRUSHING the seamless game and as mentioned, I’m partial to their delicious steak sandwich. Side note: If you order from their actual website you can get a 10% discount on your order every time. .

I was craving a nice nice philly cheesesteak after coming back from Philly(the one I had there was not good at all). This place certainly does not disappoint… I really enjoyed the combo with the soda and the waffle fries and it was certainly a deal. The meat was cooked nicely even though I prefer mine a little less cooked. Many people like cheese whiz but I enjoy provolone on mine. I also got mushrooms on mine. I always also add ketchup to bring out the flavor of the sandwich but that’s just me. I also noticed that NYU students can eat with their meal plans so I’m sure a lot of students come here for that. Will definitely be back whenever I have a craving for cheesesteaks

This review is based on one seamless order I made this previous weekend. My review is more about the service and instructions than the food. I ordered a cheesesteak with wiz and no onions and chili cheese fries. When my food came, the cheesesteak had onions and I received onion rings? Yeah just a total mix up with my order or just someone didn’t pay attention at all to my order. The cheesesteak was very tasty so I want to order again, but next time I’m going to call my order in and make sure it isn’t mixed up.

Love the waffle fries! but it’s not that hard to mess up waffle fries. The cheesesteak, tasteless! meat doesn’t have any flavor whatsoever. Will come back only when I crave waffle fries.

I had to try a Cheesesteak sandwich while in NYC. This place was a 5 min. walk from my hotel. I got there as they were opening for lunch. I had a beautiful cheesesteak, full of meat and cheese, oozing and sloppy, greasy in the best way possible. Nice little place. Very good cheesesteaks. Good prices, great value. Loved it! I was reluctant to try the cheesesteak as I have had some great ones in philly. Low and behold to my surprise 99s provolone cheesesteak was super delish. In also had the waffle fries… amazing. The prices were not outrageous which I appreciated. The manager was helpful and friendly.

99 Miles to Philly NY Manhattan East Village 2pm Friday 22nd May 2015 Four Stars I got the footlong but I think I should just gotten the 6″. I didn’t really like the extra charge for toppings but that’s life. I got a steak with mushrooms and hot peppers with American cheese. The roll is amoroso’s bread which is apparently a hundred year old Philadelphia stable. The bread was incredible. It was soft, buttery and soaked up all of the flavor of the meat. The steak was flavorful but dry. The mushrooms and hot peppers were not plentiful and didn’t taste as if was grilled with the meat. The cheese felt nonexistent. The waffle fries were enormous. You should split it with someone else. They were crispy, crunchy, starchy and had all of that lawry’s seasoning. Overall, a tasty yet unhealthy way to spend $ 15.

Ill come back again when I’m craving a delicious foot long steak at a really good price. Which is always. So yeah. I’ll be back in a few days. Lol

3.5 stars. Had been a bit hesitant to drop by here since I read mixed reviews about this place. Having tried some really delicious Philly Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, I wasn’t sure if this would satisfy my craving. I’m really glad we checked this place out. Couple of counter seating and a few small tables inside. The cashier wasn’t all that friendly, oh well. He was quick and the little kid beside him was super adorable and very friendly. Let her take over the register, lol. The cook who handed me our sandwich was also very friendly. The bread used for their cheesesteak sandwiches are good. Lightly toasted on the outside with a soft and smooth inside. The bread was warm and incredibly fresh tasting. A generous serving of meaty goodness inside. They were a bit light handed with the whiz but it was still very tasty and the onions added another layer of flavor. The menu is quite simple and direct, which is great. Come here for the cheesesteaks. There is a flat screen tv inside. I didn’t see a restroom.
