Not so bad, definitely not like other 99 cent places– pieces are half the size and not original NYC style slices. Although I must say the pizza was pretty good at the time, mostly because I couldn’t find another place. Employees were nice, it was fast, tasted good, just not what I was expecting.

Not a bad place and for $ 1 Pizza and on par. I’ve been here about 3 times and the bread of the pizza was always made to my liking. Mozzarella sticks and wings also excellent priced and goes great with pizza and its nice that they have hot sauce on the tables that usually omit it especially for a pizza joint. Seating is limited to 2 tables and the patrons who come here to eat are not what you would call pleasant people. Once I was with a friend and we talked fairly quiet out of respect for the other party but they made it a point to talk loud as if they were competing with us. Another time, the other seated patron made it a point to keep staring at me.

Let’s just say for a «dolla» this place gets the job done after a night of drinking of course. Definitely not the best pizza in the LES but might be a decent option when howling for food at 5am. Place is a bit run down would probably not eat inside. Like I said pizza gets the job done.

The guy is a JERK. Dropped by to check out relatively new pizza place in the hood and i ordered the 12″ pie. He said it’d be 5 – 10 min, okay great. While i am waiting, i casually play 2048 on my phone trying to ignore the music that is blasting in my ear. After waiting a while, i looked up wondering how much longer my order would be, and i see him cleaning the display case. He looks at me and says«you all set?» and i’m of course confused and said what do you mean? i am waiting on my order still. Then he says, «I called you, but you didn’t listen to me, so that’s not my problem.» So let me get this straight, he let me sit there for 30 minutes in the cold(door was open and it’s still winter out) and music blasting in my ear because he couldn’t call me to let me know my order was up? There was one other customer who ordered 1 slice, so it’s not like he was busy– i was the only one there the majority of the time. He obviously knew i didn’t hear him. Then he told me not to come back. Yeah, i’m just dying to.

The reviews for this dollar pizza shop seems to go all over the place. Sadly, I have to put this place on the lower end of the review spectrum based on my own experience. The pizza shop is very tiny and cramped but does have enough seating for about 5 people spread across two very small tables. As with many 99 cents pizza place, it’s really $ 1 a slice but unless you are the tightest of tight wads, most people wouldn’t really care about the penny difference. Unlike a lot of dollar pizza places, there isn’t any $ 2.75 for 2 slices and a soda deal. The soda still cost $ 1 no matter how many slices you buy. You could tell they used to have it but they kind of ghetto taped over it to cover up the deal on the board. About the pizza, it’s a bit smaller than the competition. The cheese is a bit thin but no worst than most cheap pizza places. The pizza crust is a bit soft instead of crispy and is limpy when held up. The dough does have a good slightly sweet flavor to it though. The biggest problem is the pizza sauce. They need more of it. It’s so thin that I could barely taste it. No balance of sauce to cheese ratio. It’s more like a dough cheese pizza.

Not as good as other 99 cent pizza places. The sauce isn’t bad but the crust and cheese tasted like something that a cafeteria would serve. Even when I was drunk I knew that I wouldn’t be able to eat it sober. They were open late though, after all the bars had closed, which was nice.

I’m not comparing this to «regular» slices in the city. I’m comparing this to other«99 cent» or «dollar» pizzerias. This place is better than most. Some decent flavor in the sauce and crust. Again, this would probably be a 2.5 or 3 star if it went up against regluar pizzas but for 99 cents, i’ll be here all the time in my drunken state after hitting the bars. They stay open late too. And they have specials. Unbeatable.

saltier cheese. hints of garlic. tomatoe-y sauce. not a sweet tasting slice. dress it up with toppings. be careful of the pepper flakes. they’re actually spicy. $ 8 for 18″ cheese pie. go-to dinner for 2. free delivery until 10p.

3.5* Stars Nothing special. Kind of a bland slice, but perfectly adequate and priced accordingly. 50 cents for each additional topping, which isn’t bad. And they’re one of the few cheap slice joints that will actually offer Parmesan topping. They also have wings, beef patty’s and mozzarella sticks– everything seemed to be priced pretty well, but I’ve only tried the plain slice. Some specials: Monday & Tuesday– 14″ Full Pie for $ 4.99 Normally– 16″ Full Pie– $ 5.99, or 18″ Full Pie for $ 7.99. Not bad for the money, but if you want a really good cheap slice, walk 2.5 more blocks to Hakki Champion Pizza; its worth the extra penny.
