This place is great. Amazing, if almost always busy, happy hour. Love the food and the people behind the bar are always really cool.

I love this place! It gets pretty busy during happy hour but that’s to be expected because they have $ 20 bottles of wine. Two friends and I came by on a Tuesday night around 6 pm and sat at the bar all night. Happy hour wine choices are really good, we got a few bottles of white wine and a cheese plate. All was delicious. The bartenders were awesome, we had been waiting for a table to open with no luck so they asked a few people to move down so that we could have three stools next to each other. It was so nice of them and the patrons they asked were happy to move. Will definitely be coming back for many a happy hour! PS — if you are looking for a wine place off the Path train, this is a good spot close to 9th street!

Really have little but positive words for this place. The layout of the place is great. Pull up a couple stools at the slate bar or sit down at a little table and hang out. Prices are very reasonable. Most bottles of wine range from $ 36 – 49 and, honestly, the selection is pretty decent. Wines by the glass are a little meek(read: way too young and pricier by comparison to the list at large), but if you’re looking to stay for a couple glasses, a bottle will happily get you there. Food was also very good. Meat and cheese board was enormous. Excellent cheeses, spreads, and meats to sample. Country pâté was probably the weakest link, albeit plentiful. Wedge salad was also really good. Bib worked well against a bacon and yogurt dressing. Overall, no question we’ll be back.

What a great little bar. Despite the name they actually have a full bar with a pretty decent selection of Whiskey and Bourbon. The best part was the staff. They were amazing! Very personable and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend this if you are looking for a place to stop in and have a drink. They had a bar menu that looked good. We will have to give it a try next time.

Little mice running around. When I told the bartender she was pretty non-chalant. No thank you– see you later!

I’ve come into this place a few times before with the most recent time being last Saturday. I think it’s a lovely spot to take a date because of the décor, quiet atmosphere and the happy hour special. I’m giving this place such a high review despite the fact I didn’t like my entrée this time around and they refuse to carry dessert wine like Moscato. For this visit, I split a bottle of wine with a friend, then ordered the mac & Cheese with Kielbasa. If it were not for the kielbasa giving the dish some kind of flavor, I probably would have sent it back. It’s a very generous portion, but very bland I have enjoyed other dishes on previous visits and I think the food menu overall has mostly reasonably priced appetizers and small plates you can share with someone. I think its a great bargain.

This is a really awesome spot. Came here on a Friday night and was able to get a table right away. Our waitress made awesome recommendations for wine. The food was also pretty good. My friend and I shared the wild mushroom quesadilla, meatballs, mac & cheese, and we tried all 4 different bruschetta’s. The quesadilla and the mac & cheese were my favorite! Everything else was good to just munch on throughout the night. I took off a star only because it got extremely loud for such a small place. Overall a great place for wine and good food. Will definitely be back before 7pm to take advantage of their $ 20 bottle deal.

Super cute place with a lovely selection of small plates and a small selection of wine by the glass, with a much larger selection by the bottle. I wish their glass selection was a bit bigger, but the choices you get are pretty good. This place does get loud for the space which is a bummer but what can ya do? The wonderful bartendress was outstanding, serving the ENTIRE place including the bar with a smile on her face. I would have lost it at some point, but she was a trooper.

I had an awesome time here. The wine selection was nice and the bottles were $ 20 dollars before 7pm. We ordered three bottles two whites and one red. We ordered the cheese & meat plate, it was a delicious assortment with a nice variety of bread. The meatballs were moist and very tasty a must try. We also had the quesadilla and of course that was my favorite. The service was on point and our waitress did a great job. Our night ended with shots of kaluha and patron. Good times !!!

Excellent happy hour — great bartenders and chill atmosphere. Yes, its a good date spot but also cool place to just to hang out in a low-key environment with friends. I would stick to the cheese plate in lieu of the meat and/or meat & cheese plate — did not find the meat selection too great. On the other hand, cheese was very good. The pigs in the blanket were not too shabby either. The happy hour red wine bottle selections were very good(especially for the price!).

Great for a happy hour! FYI, Unless you get there early(by 5:30pm) you will probably have a difficult time finding a table. I got there around 6:50pm on a FRIDAY and we had about 7 people ahead of us waiting for a table. Get there early! If not, you will be standing around and have to keep walking to the bar for your refills. It’s $ 18 for a bottle of wine until 7pm. I didn’t try the tapas but they looked delicious. They had a good selection of wine and seems like a good date spot. I’ll definitely come back a few more times :)

Alrighty, 8th Street Wine Cellar, let’s do this. From the wine to the wait to the service, you were quite the West Village Friday. First things first, the service was absolutely incredible. The ladies here are busting their butts for so many *entitled* customers(none of us are immune), and I can’t give them enough credit for their graciousness and patience. Second things(second?) they have $ 20 dollar bottles of wine before 7pm. What?! We’d just come from another wine bar where a glass of(indisputably incredible) pino noir costs nearly all of that. Say no more. We also ordered the charcuterie and cheese plate, the Mac and cheese with kielbasa, and the meatballs. All were very tasty. What prevents me from giving that 5th star here is the wait time. I don’t know what happened, but the kitchen was either having a bad day or just couldn’t manage the rush. Either way, it took over an hour for two appetizers(we sat down before 5pm when it was nearly empty) to arrive and that’s simply unacceptable. Please, step it up, kitchen. You’ve got such a gold mine here!

This is a casual and cozy wine bar to go with a group of friends or even on a date. And as the other reviews point out, the happy hour deal of $ 20 bottle of wine can’t be beat! Pair that up with some yummy food offerings, you’ll have a solid night! It’s very crowded right after work time as people come for the happy hour deal, but a little later into the night, the crowd dies down.

Not much I can say that others haven’t: $ 20 bottles for happy hour, great food, chill atmosphere. Get the figs & bacon and the mac & cheese, you won’t be disappointed.

Cute, tiny spot. You cannot beat $ 20 bottles of wine that are actually good(before 7pm). I always have to try the Mac & Cheese anywhere I go and it was okay, nothing special. I also tried the mushroom quesadilla, enjoyed that more. Get here early as seating is limited.

Still continues to be our number one favorite wine bar. Just absolutely love this place. They have great wines on their happy hour & they have happy hour every day of the week. You can get $ 20 bottles of wine! Also their sister bar is BiBi wine bar in the East village and it’s just as amazing. Both have great wine bar food, ambience, and prices.

I have found my new favorite wine place. Their happy hour is solid and is also offered on the weekends!!! How amazing is that? $ 20 select bottles with a super friendly staff… I’m sold. I’ve polished off one too many here, but haven’t regretted it yet. I did order a mushroom quesadilla and it was very tiny, which i didn’t expect… But it tasted fine. Probably not something I’ll order again, so maybe I’ll just stick to the wine.
