Poor service. We agreed to use the room for one hour. 35 minutes into the hour they began coming Into the room every 2 – 5 minutes asking if we wanted to buy another hour. We told them we will decide when our time is up, but they were relentless, coming in at every song. And so when we didn’t want to pay the full 20% gratuity, they said they would call the cops on us because if we wanted to refuse tip we needed to tell them ahead of time. On top of it all, they tried to charge us for an extra person when we specifically told them one person is just waiting for a cab and we did not want her to wait on the street by herself in the middle of the night. To this, the Guy replied, «I don’t care what happens to her». Unbelievable; will not be returning.

i like this place. its a bit hidden on the(you guessed it) 5th floor as most places are on the k-town strip. the music is always poppin(do people still say poppin?). i don’t care, poppin poppin poppin. the dj at the lounge area always play great old-schoolish music. i’m talking late 90’s, early 2000’s hip hop. and its always on point. i also like the atmosphere, its dark and creates a good mood with enough space to dance, altho there’s no official dance floor. there’s also seating along the wall and at the bar. i never rented a room to actually sing karaōke but there seems to be plenty here and its pretty soundproof, as in we don’t hear anything coming out of it. 5 stars for the dj/music/layout/atmosphere/dancing. 3 star for the service. its good enough, they’re not rude or anything, but hardly attentive even when its dead. you have to track down the bartender or server cause they’re on their phone or talking to each other most of the time. the prices here are pretty standard for k-town, expect to drop $ 25 for a liter of soju, which goes pretty fast. and beware the soju monster. its the drink equivalent of a pot brownie in that you don’t notice anything, it doesn’t build up, it just hits you like a ton of brick all of a sudden. i’ll be back for the music.

Walked in and asked for a room for 3 people. They told us that they couldn’t give us any of the empty rooms because we were 3 people and not 10 people. We told them we could pay whatever rate it was for the room but we were told that we couldn’t because of an issue with the air conditioning. However, they assured us that this policy would not be applicable the next night. Made no sense.

It is my favorite karaōke spot. bartenders are always quick to make our drinks and knows how to do it good and tasty. All staffs are professionally mannered and i always have pleasant time whenI come here. Their drinks are not overpriced like other places and i enjoy their karaōke room too. it has modern décor and womewhat of cozy feeling to it.

Came here against my better judgment, for a friend’s birthday. 11 of us stuffed into a tiny room. Service was mediocre and food was so-so. Sound quality was not the best in that tiny room. Drinks and food are expensive at this place.

Excellent service and food. Have been here quite a few times using their groupon special and it’s always been no hassle. Only thing is there have been a few times where the alcohol prices are not consistent. But I’ve been here for corporate events, so I’m not too concerned with price(lol)

Came here for my birthday on a Saturday night and was highly disappointed by the sound quality, AC situation and server. The AC was broken, the server barley came to take orders and it was annoying with 24 people. But that have a good selection of music. The DJ was great and the drinks are good. This place is a good hang out spot but not such a good birthday spot.

I’v been to a few of the karaōke lounges in Korea Town, and 5 bar is pretty much equal to the rest. This one actually had more of a selection or songs to choose from, but we had a lot of technical difficulties between the lights in the room and the remote control glitching. Also, other lounges that I’ve been to were BYOB. This is was not; it had a bar outside of our personal karaōke room. However, my friends had empty bottles with them that they had previously consumed on the train in. They left said empty bottles on the table during our ~sesh~ and when a waiter came in to bring us food, we were all scolded for bringing in alcohol. Though technically they were just glass bottles. So that happened. It was just alright. Maybe you really have to love karaōke.

BEWARE! Came here for a friend of a Friends birthday party. They stuffed us in a small room. The sound quality was horrible. Spent nearly 80 bucks on watered down drinks. The staff rushed us out of the room and were rude. Charged us way too much money for the quality of service they provide. They have a lounge area with a dance floor. The Dj was okay but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to compensate for the horrible experience. Worst karaōke spot I’ve ever been to. Not going back.

First time here. Came with my friend and got a small room. The workers here was friendly and nice. The worker gave microphone covers for the microphones and showed us how to use the remote control to find songs and select it to sing. I was really happy with the ease of finding English songs to sing. The machines are in good condition and we had no problem with the system. The tv wasn’t pixellated like other KTV places. I ordered a Tequila Sunrise and my friend ordered Long Island ice tea and Tokyo Tea. The drinks here were really strong. No cheap liquor here. The best thing about renting the rooms is there’s a timer on the TV top right corner that tells you how much minutes you have left. The rooms are cleaned, lots of space and have the cool LED lights flashing in the rooms. The only thing I didn’t do was check in with Unilocal to get 50% off Karaōke and drinks. Wish the workers would have told me that so I can have a good night and save some $$$$. Other than that everything here was wonderful. I had a great time coming here. Definitely will go back

Fun spot! I’m not the most seasoned karaōke goer, so I don’t have much to pull from. We were there pretty early(about 4 pm) on a Saturday, so the place was pretty empty. The décor was cool and staff were friendly. We were placed in one room and then moved to a bigger room. Once we got to the bigger room the set up didn’t work, so we were moved once again to a smaller room. This was all somewhat of an inconvenience at the start. They had a great selection of music and we ended up having a great time and I loved the stripper pole in the room. Would I return? Yes indeed!

They have great workers. If you something to ask in a karaōke room, just press bell then they are comming immediately. Good service. Good music. Great food. That’s enough to make me comming back this place again. *This place do not serve open karaōke system because they have a DJ . *Each karaōke rooms have a stripper pole.

Came here with a group of 16 people on a Wednesday night with a groupon. It was very easy to set up a reservation through e-mail, they replied quickly and answered all of my questions. Once we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful, I had a room reserved, but upon arrival asked if my group could be switched to a room with a strip pole in it. They gladly allowed me to make the change in rooms.(Considering it was not a busy night) The service was great and they got my whole group a free round of shooters for checking in on Unilocal. Once our time was almost up, a gentleman came into the room to remind us, and even allowed us to stay an extra 15 minutes(which in fact turned into 20) but they were really nice about it. This place was great over all, the only thing that needed improvement was the song book, which had some pages missing and needed some updating in songs.

The place is okay, and your evening really depends on you company. The room I found were expensive, $ 10 per hour and per person, so for one hour and 1 drink per person for 5, I paid over $ 100. While inside, I couldn’t get any reception and couldn’t check in on Unilocal until I left, and that’s when a coupon of 50% off appeared… So make sure you do it before you enter the place. Even the small rooms are well equipped and ours could accommodate about 7 people, we had a pole in the corner and we had two monitors. Once we figured out the way it worked, it was time to leave. We went there on a Sunday evening around 8PM and they weren’t serving any food. Luckily we had some snacks with us, but overall I’ve seen better.

The place in and of itself is not bad, but if you are coming here for the karaōke I would avoid it. Terrible selection of English songs. Horrible echo and reverb on the mic to where you can barely understand what someone is singing. The controls to adjust this did not work and when we called someone in to adjust they said it could not be done, that an engineer would need to be brought in. I asked if we could be switched and was told all the rooms are like this. Not sure if this is true or was just a cop out(it was very busy). We were room 13. Some pros are that the bartender was nice and the drinks were good and not horribly overpriced. Don’t be like me and forget to use the Unilocal deal for 50% if you go. Had a surprisingly great piña colada. But seriously — just go somewhere else.

Love Love Love . The décor, the bartenders, as well as the vibe at this place is nothing short of a good time. Weeknights at 5 bar by The Bar usually include throwback songs from the 90s, 2000’s and tons of the current favorites. These factors make it a pleasant vibe to just have a drink or two after work and enjoy the atmosphere. Weekends on the other hand, can be a bit hectic but even still it is full of good service and tons of attentiveness. Gratuity is included in your receipt and as that might be a pet peeve for some people… Strong drinks, Good music, great management, Attentiveness, and Shots on the house; are all factors that make this 5 star value.
