Cheap, great song selection, BYOB&F(bring your own beer and food), and large rooms for big groups earns it a 3 – 4 stars! There is an app for the song selection system, making it easier to search for your song of the night(instructions in the song books)! Came with a party of 9 without advance reservations and, to our pleasant surprise, we got a room here when other karaōke spots were full! The remote control system was quite self-explanatory and staff provided instructions when they brought us to the room. The hefty song books impressively covered oldies to recent songs from a span of decades that exceeded many of our entire lifetimes! For older songs, there was even the option of playing their original music videos… which we got quite a kick out of(I recommend the original music video of Olivia Newton John’s «Physical» for some seriously hilarious«what were they thinking» moments)!! We supplied our own take-out fingerfood and some beer to fuel the party, which was a really nice option to have. I do like this place, but it is not 4 – 5 stars because it seems a little crammed(with an elevator that only holds 3 – 4 people, though that seems to be the norm for these karaōke joints) and a little bit rundown. This is THE type of place to have good fun with friends and hangout, though perhaps not if you are looking to celebrate a fancier occasion. All said and done, can’t beat their prices($ 7/person/hour for groups of 8+) and great song selection if you are looking to sing your heart out! This is a down-to-earth, no frills karaōke joint to go and have a grand old time at!

This is a great place to come with a group of friends for a night out or special occasion. I came for my Bachelorette and the song selection was excellent. The place is BYOB and the lighting is really awesome. Highly recommend.

Had a group outing here last year, and it was so much fun! You get to BYOB(wine and beer) and that’s always a banging offer. the room we all had was large and they had an AC unit in the room so we stayed cool. Prices were reasonable and song selection was off the hook. Totally coming here again!

Great karaōke place, BYOB(Bring your own bottle, nothing over 20% proof alcohol) option! Will def visit again.

The reason why I keep coming back here is they have given a second option of searching for songs — they have a website that you can use to search for songs. And its BYOB! Have always had a good time here.

I really like this location. The place was a little difficult to find but we found it. The elevator is extremely small. Max 3 people for the average size human being. If you’re claustrophobic then you might want to take the stairs because it feels tight. Anywho, there’s lots of lights. Also in the room there’s a corkscrew opener if you decide to bring your own drinks. So cool that this is allowed. There’s free candy at the front desk and if you pay with cash you get 10% off your bill. Not bad if I say so myself. So yeah I will definitely come back.

Good song selection. Made even better that it’s not the generic sync version of the songs that’s typical with a majority of the karaōke joints in the city. Huge bonus points for the place being bring your own alcohol and foos. Plus they supply the cutlery, cups, etc. It’s $ 7/person for parties of 8+. Their bottled beers are pretty cheap($ 3/bottle) and you get a 10% discount on karaōke if you pay in cash. Definitely recommend for group outings!

The main reason I decided to come here this weekend was because you can book online! Some reason I really liked having that option. I made a reservation for Saturday night the day before, and they were pretty booked already but managed to get a room for 2 hours. The staff was decent, and although the room was small, they had a lot more current songs than most karaōke places ive been too. Some negatives were: the mics kept turning off and were unusable at some points(even when we tried to have it fixed, the problem was never solved), and the song selecting process is kinda frustrating since you have to enter the number instead of a touch screen. But, the prices were cheap, they had an extensive Taylor Swift collection, plus the room was equipped with tambourines. I’d recommend this place, and would definitely come again.(The giant bowl of free candy is also a plus)

I have been here multiple times with large groups and it’s always a lot of fun. The staff are relaxed and helpful, the location couldn’t be easier for meeting up, and it’s close to the best Korean restaurants in Manhattan. Allegedly there’s a list of all their songs online… if such a thing exists, I recommend checking it out, because the selection of songs is a little intimidating. In a good way! Enjoy…

My first time Karaōke and it was such a great experience at 32 Karaōke. We went to one of their sister companies down two buildings over. So here’s the thing — I am no pro when it comes to singing. Ever. Let alone in front of my family and friends… Of the highlights about this place is that you are in your private room, as most karaōke places are! But also, you are permitted to bring your own snacks or some snacks can be purchased at the venue. Not to mention, they provide napkins and all the utensils if needed. The staff are super polite and accommodating. Let’s talk music. EVERYTHING. Believe me when I say that because they have 90s greatest hits to older, older, classic tunes to sing annoyingly to. I am going to keep it short and let you go explore it yoself.

Many great things to say about this place. Some drawbacks, but I would definitely go again. After a very stressful couple of weeks planning a karaōke party, this place was a Godsend. The per-head pricing makes it so much easier to plan a big event because your cost per head will not depend on how many people are coming. I originally reserved a room at another bar that was priced by the room and included drinks and food. I’m glad I switched, as several people dropped out last minute, and my guests would have had to pay a lot more to cover the cost. I saw Gagopa first, and made a reservation online. There wasn’t any indication of availability, so I figured I should call them to confirm that a room was available at the end of the week. Unfortunately, I was unable to book something on the day and time that I wanted. I checked Unilocal again and found 32 Karaōke which is owned by the VERYSAMEPEOPLE! So if you need more reviews, check out Gagopa, as its the same experience. The man on the phone was very nice and accommodating. He confirmed my reservation and made me feel at ease with head counts and room sizes. They stress that you arrive ONTIME because they charge per hour. Even if you show up 15 minutes after, which is fair. I arrived a little early with some of my friends to get our wine and snacks set up. BYOB!(they check your bags briefly, and let you do whatever you want.) I only wish they would have better explained the system to us, as it was pretty much all in Korean. Once everyone arrived and we got to singing, it was a blast. I’m not sure about their room sizes, as we were shown privately to ours, but I ended up being GLAD that only 15 of the 30+ people I expected showed up. It was perfect for my party size, but anything more than that would have been cramped. We weren’t bothered at all and the couches and equipment were great. The problems I had were that 1. we didn’t know how to work the system at first, so I had to grab a guy from the front counter to help us. 2. A few times during out session, the remote would crap out. I think we wasted ten minutes or more trying to figure out the remotes or get them to work. They might need to have them replaced. We are being charged by the time so I wasn’t happy about my friends having to sing a’capella while the guys were trying to fix the machine. 3. The bill was SO messy and difficult to read. I have NO idea how they itemized it. But it seemed accurate enough to trust. Even though I had a few people who came and went late and early. I’m still not sure if they were charged for the entire 3 hour time slot, just an hour? just two? I don’t know how they accounted for those who arrived late at all. I ended up having to pay more than I should have. But I expected the payment to be a little disorganized with so many people and everyone giving cash. Overall, I had a great time. I think that the remotes not working were definitely a problem. But they were extremely gracious and tolerant about my friend who got sick and was slumped in the hallway. They gave us extra time in the room to sort out the money and were overall very easy and fair to work with. I’ll definitely go again, probably with less people. OH! and I suggest they list the song numbers on their website alongside the titles. The online list makes it so easy to find songs and not waste time passing around the book. But finding the numbers took the time we would have saved.

Located in the heart of Ktown(midtown manhattan). The entrance is right next to a restaurant, so don’t get confused, you have to take an elevator to the 6th floor. However, once you arrive you are transported into a Karaōke Dreamworld. They only do private rooms which is great for birthday parties! It wasn’t to crowded and the staff was very gracious! cons: mostly English & Korean selection for music. No Chinese or other languages. I made a reservation for 20 guests and only 16 showed up and I was only charged for the guests that were present! When we left — we were sent off with complimentary bottles of water to keep us hydrated.

Ended up here after spontaneously deciding to go to karaōke on valentine’s day. We tried to go to the cheaper place across the street that was BYOB, but they were fully booked. They have a two drink minimum, so it was a bit pricey. Song selection is okay. They get bonus points for having an English remote control, and techno remix options. Plus this was the first time that I’ve gone to a karaōke place and didn’t have to ask for the tambourines — they were already in the room!

Went back for my birthday and had a reservation for 20 people. Not sure what happened in a year’s time but the guy up front was incredibly rude to us. Rest assured this is NOT a BYOB. If they see your bottles they will take them away like you are five and not give them back. I understand if something with alcohol happened, but there’s no need to me rude about it and treat your customers poorly. Needless to say we did not stay and found a way better karaōke bar. Also — while they were taking away our alcohol, we could see alcohol on the table of another room so I guess you have to sneak it in.

I cannot possibly say enough good things about this place. I have been going here for my birthday every year for the past three years and celebrated my 30th birthday there last night. The staff is warm and incredibly accommodating. Not only do they have basic items that you may need free of charge(e.g., napkins, paper cups, plates, bottle openers, cell phone chargers, etc.), but also go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable in your room(I was overheard saying our room was a little warm, and a staff member immediately offered to turn the air up in our room for us). Lee, at the front desk, was especially awesome. He went above and beyond to accommodate us when we wanted to extend our reservation and there were seemingly no rooms available. He checked out the schedule and figured out how to move parties and rooms around to let everyone stay for as long as they wanted. In order to accommodate our extended reservation, we did have to switch to the room next door, which was no big deal at all, especially because Lee and the other staff members insisted on moving our food, drinks, and other belongings for us! They would not let us lift a finger! In addition, their song list is much more extensive than other karaōke places that I have been to, and it is very easy to search for songs because they have a website you can search from your phone(they also have hardcopy song books if you prefer to search the old school way). In sum, if you are deciding whether you should visit this venue, the answer is a resounding yes!

This is not the best karaōke place I’ve been to, but definitely one of the better ones. To get there, you have step inside a tiny elevator that fits about 4 people and go to the 6th floor. Once you step off, you will notice how clean and bright this place looks. There is a small counter where you can order drinks and snacks(no open bar karaōke here) and the private rooms. You are allowed to bring your own food and drink as well. My friends and I got a private room for three people. The room itself was pretty small, but I found their sound system to be very good quality. The microphone was clear and you can even control the volume of the music. The song selection of this place was also excellent. Not the biggest selection I’ve seen at a karaōke, but above average with a lot of current songs. Definitely recommended.

This is my favorite karaōke place ever! It’s just perfect and everything you could possibly want in a karaōke venue: — large private rooms(because it’s really only fun with friends and you never have to stop singing along) — disco lights EVERYWHERE — LOTS of songs including up-to-date hits, organized both by artist and by song title — BYOB and they’ll even give you buckets of ice, cups, and clean up after you, but they also sell beer and wine if you don’t plan ahead(FYI there is a Walgreens right around the corner that sells beer) — relatively lax rules as long as you’re on time and respectful — we recently reserved their biggest room with an estimate of 20 people and definitely had at least 30 – 40 come through(which they of course counted and charged us for, and yes, it got too crowded at one point). — clean bathrooms — centralized location with easiest-ever address to remember(32 at 32 W. 32!) — free candy — open til 4am — large tables and couches on which you can dance and they never come in to yell at you to stop — they take the time to explain every charge on the bill so even when you’re drunk you can feel like you aren’t getting ripped off — it’s upstairs from about 80 dumpling/Korean BBQ places Do keep track of your time because it can add up especially with a large group of people, and be smart and ask your friends for money before they all leave! Also tip them nicely, a) because they are really awesome and just let you make a complete fool of yourself for multiple hours without judging you*, and b) they will give you free bottles of water when you leave**. Yeah, the elevator is hilariously tiny(the«NO!!! more than 5 people at a time» sign isn’t kidding) and occasionally they do have the wrong lyrics programmed in(«I guess it rains down in Africa…») or bad cover band or synth versions of certain songs, but this is probably due 90% to copyright issues and only 10% to Engrish mistakes. Some of the songs have epicly funny music videos behind the lyrics. This is our favorite thing to do after seeing a concert with a big group of friends when nobody is ready to go home yet. Or for birthdays, Welcome Home parties, or just random Saturday nights. Maybe it’s just our favorite late-night activity period. *at least not publicly. I’m fairly sure they have hidden cameras so they can laugh at us in private. **It’s possible they just did that for us this past weekend because they wanted to make sure all our drunk asses didn’t die on the way home.

Impromptu karaōke night means trying new places! Hooray for the customer service at 32 Karaōke. After a call to see if they had availability at 9:30 pm on a Friday, they were kind enough to hold a large room for us without a reservation and to call back and confirm with my party. My group went in blind as to the room quality, song selection, and pricing, and we were pleasantly surprised. Once you get past the sketchy, 5 person capacity elevator(or the six flights of stairs), you’re greeted with lots of LED lights, friendly staff, and a well stocked snack and drink bar. They opened up a huge 15 person private room, with plenty of seats and more LED strobe lighting(which we turned off because it was a bit too much). Pricing is $ 7 per person per hour when you have 8+ people, which is a good deal. Drinks and snacks are extra, but they are happy to let you bring food or drinks in. The rooms are not the newest or most modern, but they get the job done. I’m guessing, but I think they have around 10 private rooms in varying sizes. Song selection is good if you’re singing in English and you’re okay with a few month lag on your Billboard top 100. There are no songs in Chinese, but they do have Korean. Most videos are lyrics only, no video, unless you’re singing very recent songs which may have the actual music video. The most notable thing about song selection is that they have provided an online database you can access via your phone, which is your best source for the most recent additions. Its faster to sort through than the binders, which end up adding all the new songs in the back by the date they added them. The cell phone reception is good in the room we had, so this made things way easier.
The sound system is strong but you have to balance levels on your own. Its also a bit older, but intuitive to use. They have mike covers if you’re a germaphobe. Free water and lollipops at the counter!

This is the most insane karaōke place I’ve ever been to, and by insane I actually mean COMPLETELYCRAZY. If the thousands of blue twinkling lights adorning every wall and the entire ceiling won’t have you in a tizzy, nothing will… The elevator is hilarious. They certainly make their wishes clear. Don’t try to fit more than 5 people on the elevator. The signs clearly say NONONO! With many exclamation points. Don’t tell anyone that we went up 6 at a time… Private rooms and BYOB mean you can sing your heart out and hit all the wrong notes and not only will no one notice or care, but you’ll have tons of fun doing it again and again. Some of the songs are not programmed the best(such as wrong lyrics or 5 keys too high) but for the most part, you have a decent song selection and it’s easy to skip ahead when necessary. We had absolutely no idea we were being rated until well afterwards. Who rates us? The machine? Is someone listening and judging? We may never know…
