Anytime I walk into this place, which is not often and more of a last resort, the men who work here seem very ungrateful to have customers. The guy behind the counter seems miserable while the other(s) are either eating food on wine cases or stalking you through the store to make sure you don’t steal. Customer service is definitely non-existent.

do not shop here! i bought a bottle of don julio and it was defective. the cap had fused to the bottle and broke off, which leads me to believe it was stored in a very hot room. not good. when i returned it in the original box and their own bag, they wouldn’t give me another bottle or refund my money. they even insulted me by trying to tell me i didn’t buy it there. i will never shop there again and i have already inquired with don julio to see if their product was purchased by this store in a legal fashion. i imagine it probably fell off the back of a truck. this store is dead to me and thats a pretty strong statement considering how much i like booze and how close this dump is to my house.

I was thrilled to discover that there was a liquor store on the same block as me, right down the street. From the outside, it looked all shiny and new and full of booze. Sadly, all excitement faded away when I walked in. This place is really tiny. So tiny that I had to tip toe through the aisles just to make sure I don’t knock down any bottles. Actually, there aren’t any aisles, just narrow rectangular path formed by a bunch of boxes full of wine stacked in the middle of the room. To make matters worse, there were, for some reason, three employees, who look like they were recruited from street bums, spread throughout this tiny room, to make sure you don’t pocket anything. Do these guys have such horrible vision that they need multiple people to cover a room the size of two cars parked side by side? I guess so, if they’re bums. Maybe they’re there to clean up after broken bottles accidentally knocked down by visitors like me. Most of the alcohol here is wine. There’s not much of a selection, though they do cover a wide swath of geographic locations. The liquor selection is even smaller. Okay, so I did the math in my mind: Small Selection + Far Location(near Ave. C) + Nearby Competition(Bee Liquors: ) = Cheap Prices Well, theoretically anyways. In reality, this place was expensive, maybe 3 or 4 bucks more on average than Bee Liquors. I hate it when the math doesn’t add up.
