«Eno» is back! Well, sort of! They’re offering delivery only at this time as I understand it. Who knows, maybe they’ll have a storefront rest in the area again if they garner sufficient business. I think for now the food is being delivered via the Eno location in Murray Hill. I can’t tell you how many times I have craved food from their menu. I was so disappointed to hear about the closing after the fire. This was my go-to spot for casual Japanese in the neighborhood as an option to Fusha across the street. I’m so glad to hear that«Eno» is back at least for delivery. Yay!!!(Don’t confuse w/Amaze which offres cheap prices & lousy food).

Well… it seems that this place has finally tanked. Guess they had one too many underage drinkers partying there. It used to be good until Aja closed due to the 97 health code violations. Then they reopened as Eno. Good luck to the next owner.

Love hate relationship with this restaurant; came here for a total of 3 times. This review means nothing now because they closed down =/ First time: Awesome experience. Service was so good. Kept refilling our water without asking. We had the Char Grilled Chilean Sea Bass, which was superb. Big portion, and very tender and moist. We also got the Basil Pineapple Fried Rice. This was so yummy as well. I liked it so much that even though I hated raisins, I took the time out to remove them. This kind of suckered us into coming the second and third time. Second time: While seated for 15 minutes, something happens near the fountain in the back. Apparently the fishes were fighting and accidentally splashed the electrical lines located right next to the fountain. Super dangerous! Could’ve blew up or something. There was a burnt smell that lingered throughout the night. Service was great; they quickly moved us far away from the fountain. Food that night was 50 – 50. We had lots of food so we ordered a lot of different items. We ordered the Dim Sum Dumpling Sampler, which was just ordinary, even with the seafood they put in it. The Filet Mignon Lettuce Wrap was GOOD. Interesting they served the whole fish as it is, Siamese Crispy Red Snapper. The fillet mignon and tuna steak were too«charred.» The sushi rolls are not worth getting for the price you’re paying. Third Time: there was no third time, this time i bought a voucher, but when i got there it was closed down

A majority of restaurants have either the kitchen or the front of the house staff working well. Great restaurants master both. 1066 Eno, however, fails miserably at both. Our food came out overcooked, yet we were assured by our waitress that it was normal. When they charge $ 20+ for an appetizer plate of filet minion, ordered to medium rare doneness, and its brought out charred on the outside and cooked well done on the inside, it deserves to be sent back. And to, blatantly insist that it’s normal defies why the waitress would ask how we’d like the steak done in the first place. I do not recommend this place. They are a pretentious fusion place. Beware.

Hard to rate. Food was good. Loved the bartender Adele. Issue was the place caught on fire. And escaping a burning building is not my idea of a good time.

The salad had a dressing that reeked of garlic powder. I only had some of my wife’s because she could not eat it due to the onion flavor. While I like onion flavor I don’t like tasting it all night into the next day and that’s exactly what happened. Next came the ceviche which was good and one of the things that enticed us into the restaurant. this had a tremendous amount of onion in it both red and white. Again I love onion but this was way too much for even me. The sashimi was ok, but an all night Onion taste means I would never return here.

An extremely expensive dinner and nothing good to say. I hate writing reviews like this but I’m just sharing to save you from having the same fate. This place needs not only a reface of the décor, but of the food and service! This place is a hot mess. We initially chose this place because it had decently good reviews on Unilocal combined with and thought to give this place a chance. In a good location, on the corner spot and quite a large restaurant. We were seated promptly and pleasantly greeted. The place is DARK. I have good vision and it was honestly difficult to read the menu. This is supposed to have the lounge feel but if you’re doing dinner service, maybe consider making the lights darker post dining time? The menu is quite extensive and kind of all over the place in regards to Asian fusion. I suppose this could appeal to a wide variety of people but if you’re going to have a menu this large, please make sure you can properly cook everything to its menu description and HIGHQUALITY. You are not a cheap restaurant, so I would expect high quality food items that are cooked perfectly and taste delicious. We ordered XO string beans, filet mignon, Gamblers duck and Salmon tuna rollover. I’ll start with the best and end with the worst. 1. Salmon tuna rollover — UNIQUE concept and lots of flavor. I think if you insist on coming here, you should stick with the sushi options because it was at least above average in both taste and creativity. 2. XO sauce string beans — Okay… If you’re going to have the words XO sauce in the description, it should have XO sauce in the food, right? There was NOXOSAUCE! I am SOSOSO disappointed. Either they have no idea what XO Sauce is or they totally disregarded its original preparation and put soy sauce and teriyaki stir fry. GROSS. Please either prepare your dish correctly or change the name of your item. 3. Filet Mignon — People were speaking so highly of this dish but it was seriously disappointing. The meat was tough and dry and OVERCOOKED. We ordered the first time medium rare and when we received the dish it was well done. We asked our server what she thought the meat was cooked and she agreed that it was well-done and we asked her what she wrote on the check and she said medium-rare. She apologized and brought the dish back. When we received the 2nd dish, it was drenched in sauce and weird crunchy flakes falling off the outside of the filet. It tasted horrible and the texture was just as bad. This should not be their highlight dish. 4. Duck… omg, this poor duck, what did the Chef do to this poor guy? He was fried to a CRISP leaving NOMEAT to be eaten. We asked our server if the meat is supposed to be fried to the point of crunchiness and I could tell that she didn’t want to send another dish back to the Chef. Every bite was like eating dried pork… literally. Not juicy, not savory, nothing. Just dried meat in tortillas. TORTILLAS??? AHHH I’m upset just typing this. Nothing to be desired. PASS.

This is more like a 2.5. Seaweed salad was fine and the sea bass was good, but the pad thai was way, way, way too salty(fish sauce overkill)… I couldn’t really eat much of it at all.

This place used to be Aja a few months ago, and recently underwent a remodeling and a renaming. Aja was great. Eno is great too. I was here with a friend for a casual apres work dinner. We sat at the bar. It was beautiful, except the giant giesha girl photos on the wall behind the bar. The service was great, he introduced himself right away and poured our drinks. He did mention it was his first day multiple times, not sure why though. He did a great job. We ordered the triple toro roll, shrimp tempura, and scallop roll. Everything was delicious and fresh. At the end of the meal the bartender offered us a free shot of our choice. Cold Sake please. I’m not sure which one we had, but it was smooth and tasty. Then the bill came. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was, but a LivingSocial voucher helped soften the blow. I would def come back with another deal.

Still drafty as it was when called Aja. Was hoping they’d work that out. 2 of the staff said they turned the heat on but it was drafty the whole time.(Seated near Buddha on the left.) Otherwise new décor seems more spacious but also more seating, nicely done. PADTHAI: plain, not much flavor. Enjoyed slivers of shitake mushroom in it. ENOTRIOROLL: pretty roll w/3 diff tobiko colors(blk/grn/red) w/salmon/tuna/ylwtl inside Would return w/another deal.

We love Aja/Eno! Been going here for many years and the recent renovation has really spruced the place up. Sushi is as good as ever and the kitchen cuisine is better! Ask for a seat by the fish tank ;-)

If you are into sushi created by a bunch of off-the-boat chinese who are ham-handed in how they create rolls, then you will love this place. Why eat here when there are so many really nice sushi places(nobu57, anyone) at the same price level. Unless you live nearby and are looking for cr*p take-out or are on some group on deal, then you’ll be better off taking your business elsewhere in the neighborhood — folks, there are better options!

Sushi was banging! I’m confused at whether this place is still called Aja or Eno now but whatever the case I will be back there for sure! My boyfriend got the filet mignon and it was also incredible! The drinks r crazy strong so don’t order anything expecting it to be fruity because it wont lol they r the real deal straight liquor! I will be going back here this weekend because I love it so much!

I found this restaurant through , but that was when this place was still named AJA. My husband and I called ahead to make sure we could still use our certificate, and the management was more than happy to oblige. We were very pleased with our dinner tonight. We enjoyed spider roll, some vegetarian sushi, and spicy tuna and salmon rolls. The sake was good, although the pricing(small versus large) didn’t make sense – it seemed like it would be a better value to get two small servings of sake rather than one large one. My green tea was excellent and we loved the mochi ice cream for dessert. Yum! The staff was a bit eager to make sure we were taken care of, but that beats not getting any attention. The décor was enjoyable but the music was a little out of place. The bathrooms were very clean – YAY! All in all, a great value and a tasty dinner. We’ll definitely return and perhaps by then a few of the little quirks will be worked out, to boot!
