Not good customer experience at all :
Coming in to find out the appointment had to move to the next day. Actual service provided was just ok. Salon not clean: dusty chair and towel for washing hair smell
Never going to bother going there again though

First at all the place never been clean, dust all over.

This is the place to go to see true hair magic happen. Having super thick curly hair is near impossible to get a proper cut /​color anywhere.
Here Anna is a magician, crafting the proper color in the back and creating the ultimate low maintenance color and cut that looks really high end for a long time.
Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Anna did a great braided updo for me today.
I have very long hair, and couldn’t get it to stay up for me at work. I called Loran Salon at 2:30 and asked if they could accept a walk-​in for an up-​do. They said they could take me in 40 minutes. Biding my time with a delicious gelato at Arriva Dolce! in Highland Park, I returned to Loran Salon around 3:30.
Anna was very accommodating to my indecisiveness/​apathy about how I wanted my hair up (all I knew was, «please! please put it up! please make it stay up!»). She suggested braids, and after I confirmed, she rolled with it. She made polite conversation as she worked. I ended up with a really cute updo with a small braid on each side, mixing with straight hair… I look like a chic hippie milkmaid (which I am ALL ABOUT).
In all, I was done in about an hour. I don’t know the average price for an updo, but I paid $ 55, plus a $ 13 tip ($ 68 all day if you suck at math like me). A little ‘spensive, yes. Was I in the mood to be extravagant to myself? Yes. Am I happy with my purdy hair? Oh yes.

Laura and Anna are the best! I make the drive from the city to see them. I carry Anna’s card around with me because I get so many compliments on my hair style. All of the ladies at the salon did my bridal party up-do’s and they looked gorgeous! Laura does perfect manicures and is the master of the french manicure — Shellac is available too. I would (and do!) highly recommend Loran Salon.
